209.236.122.132 Imagine joining a server and just playing Minecraft.
Not having to read rooms full of signs, not having to run a marathon to find a place to build, and not having to deal with trolls, griefers, or people camping spawn points to kill you. Imagine a simple server where you only have to worry about two easy to use plugins. "Population Density" and "Grief Prevention"
With easy to use commands and there not being that many those two will blend into your Minecraft life seamlessly. You will literally be playing Minecraft in 3 steps.
Join server
Place chest where you want to live
Start building
A few details to note!
PVP -OFF
Difficulty - NORMAL
We have only two rules: Get along with others, and no cheating.
Thinking of joining? Here's a "little" info to get you started!
Don't know what do when you first join?
Upon joining our server you'll spawn in the newest region. Every region is ensured to have plenty of resources. From trees and ores, to having plenty of space to build. When a region becomes overpopulated, stripped of it's resources or has too many player built structures? A new region will generate ensuring new players always have fresh land AND never have to run far to find somewhere they can build.
To note, this is not a plot server. You're not assigned an area to build and forced to stay within boundaries. Players get to set their own boundaries starting when you place your first chest. The longer you play on server? The larger a claim you can make to protect your land/stuff. However if you're someone who likes to be involved in a community and wants to live close to people, you can always visit our player built town of "Redstone" or "Stream". Just stand next to a region/glowstone post and type in /visitregion Redstone or /visitregion stream
What's a glowstone post?
These glowstone posts mark each region in the server. Looking North, East, South, or West, on the post will show you the adjacent region in case you'd like to visit a friend or barter with someone for goods/materials. In addition they'll be your spawn point should you die. That is until you make a bed to set your own.
With TP turned off in this server these region posts are the only way to "Fast travel".
The reason it's turned off is to prevent players from abusing it while mining or while in danger. It essentially removes the "survival" challenge. However to help players who venture out looking for adventure, these posts are located every 400 blocks in a grid fashion across the world starting at X: 200 - Z: 200
Simply read the signs on the region posts should you wish to travel. However...this is not required as all regions can be reached on foot. Or the old fashioned way...ask for coordinates.
Want to know how to claim/protect land?
When you join and arrive at the newest region, and once you find a place you'd like to live, upon placing your first chest you'll see a border comprised of gold with glowstone corners around it, it's 9x9 and your first claim. Following that should you ever decide you want to expand a claim or make a new one it'll require a Golden Shovel. Making claims or expanding old ones will use up your "Claim blocks". Which is in essence a type of allowance you get for playing on the server. For every hour you spend on server you'll get another 100 blocks to claim. Upon equipping your golden shovel you'll notice yellow text that notifies you of how many blocks you have left that you can claim. In addition to that a short link will show up with a video should you still not understand how claiming land works.
Honestly? The video will explain it better than anyone on server possibly could. A visual demonstration is usually the best one
Curious how to check if land is claimed?
Equip just a plain ol' stick and right click any block for a notification in the chat box. If it's claimed you'll see the border around the players claim as well as who it belongs to. Try clicking on a claim you own yourself, you'll see the dimensions of the claim and how many total blocks you've used in it.
Have questions?
Don't hesitate to ask! Most of the time you don't need a Moderator or Admin to resolve your issue. Our staff is reasonable and mature, just ask the community, we keep things fair. Our community is much of the same, 99% of the time you ask a question you'll get replies from numerous players. And no, before anyone asks, we don't need any more staff, with grief prevention we hardly even need the ones we have.
That's pretty much all there is to know. Go play!

This is just Minecraft. A "Damn Near Vanilla" experience aimed at giving players as close to pure Minecraft as possible while dealing with major issues that plague the Multiplayer community such as overpopulation at starting points and griefers/trolls who just wish to wreak havoc for their enjoyment.
I use InventoryTweaks and FastCraft mods just to make my life a bit easier
InvTweaks just lets me sort my inventory, chests, replace tools and stacks of blocks as they run out or break etc
FastCraft just lets me click an item that I have the parts for and make it. Without having to put everything in the crafting grid. I still have to have the items and a crafting bench for it to work.
NoCheatPlus likes to disable both of these mods for whatever reason (mostly the PvP implications). The actual modules are inventory.fastclick and combine.improbable. If its possible to disable these I would greatly appreciate it.
Fixed the daily restart happening twice a day, if lag persists the restart will be moved back a 12 hour schedule
Also creator of Grief Prevention has been notified about potential griefers/trolls using invisibility potions to get away with their acts. In time hopefully we'll have a way to grant mods permission to see them regardless.
Ahh early morning (est). Server's usually closer to empty this time of day. Evening into night is when we're often packed and people are waiting in queue to get in. Join now if you're up for a more peaceful quiet time in Minecraft
As for updates, updated bukkit to the latest recommended build, just minor bugfixes. In addition Grief Prevention's been updated.
Remember those fires that appear when lightning strikes and took forever to go away? No more!
They'll dissapear promptly after appearing via the strike. In some rare cases this has also happened in the nether and at homes.
I'm in server for the morning so if you'd like, hop in and check the place the out
As astounding as Jaybo's and Fortiz's builds are they're only a portion of the really epic ones built on our server.
Seeing as how this IS survival everything you see in our server was hand built, all materials gathered by the one who built it. Of course not to overshadow Jaybo or Fortiz, if you come in server be sure to ask him if you can check his place out, pictures do NOT do it justice. You really gotta see this place with your own virtual eyes to see how much work he's put into this place.
And Fortiz's builds? I mean damn....girl can work! From her home atop a mountain to that hall of fame pictured above^, each one of them is finely detailed and makes great use of space. Even if Vanilla Minecraft isn't your thing, I'd say it's worth it to at least hop on and take a look around. We've got quite a few creative players on here
Once again, I'm on for the morning so if you wanna just check this place out, are interested in joining a damn near vanilla server, or even just have some questions I'll be here.
A quick update for anyone just joining or checking up on the server
As of December 31st the server will be going offline for a few days. Since we've been running about a year now and our players have really gone out and built some insane things, we appear to be running out of disk storage space. And while yes, we could technically just purchase more storage and continue expanding that would result in price increases which would make adding player slots in the future rather difficult.
However if you're worrying at this point, don't!
We have an e-mail set up for you guys to send in coordinates of your builds to be saved, we'll be personally attending to each one in MCEdit once the server's offline and the map downloaded. We'll be transferring them over to the new world, fixing up claims and once we're done there we'll start the server back up for all to join. At most we're thinking probably a week. However if we're lucky the upload and download will only take half a day. Depending how much work we have to transfer it shouldn't be too long.
If you're wondering what the e-mail is to send your coordinates to ask in game, we don't want to post it here for what we hope is obvious spam issues. Anyway don't let this scare you away, if anything, don't worry about where you're building your house/monument or anything, just focus on making it the best you can. Then send in the e-mail with any details about where you want to be located in the new world.
2. Corner coordinates of the claim that you want saved (see example below)
3. Any comments or information that you think can help expedite the transfer of your claim (i.e. you want it next to other builds, you want it in the wilderness, etc.)
Again, the email can't be posted here, but just ask on the server... numerous people are just waiting to tell other players the email address - our community is great. And of course if you are still unsure or confused, Smac or myself are there to assist you.
(the pic below is used for example purposes only... it was created by Fortiz1018 and I have no idea whether they are even gonna submit this... also, the coordinate values are made up - dont look for this build in that spot. )
Jaybo thanks for clarifying, lol. Busy morning for me so I completely forgot the details ^_^;
As for you Recon? Morning's EST we usually have some slots open, nights we get rather busy. The server is paid out of pocket so it's only 20 slot. Though certain months we get donations to the server to which we can use to increase slots for more people.
Then again if you manage to get in while it's this full you'll have a room full of people ready to help at a moments notice, lol.
Quite a responding to those last messages regarding our world restart!
Few people are excited to start completely anew while others are just packing up the vital/important stuff and having that transferred. I'd like to point out with as many requests as we've gotten it WILL be a few days likely till the server is back up and running.
However once again that's not until the 31st so plenty of time to start out, build what you'd like and have it transferred. I myself am going to be transferring my builds over to the starting village of the new world. But far as everything else goes I'll be starting over with the new players in that I'll be joining you guys in the newest region, no diamonds, no armor, no food, no house, nothing.
If you're interested in going on some mining expeditions or trying to find some food and such just pop in and ask around, someone's almost always here to help you..
This is mainly for those in server who've made friends with one another, and who don't always play Minecraft.
Keep in touch, get announcements directly from Staff, and play games with the community you've grown to love!
This morning I'll be in server so if you have any questions or are looking for a Vanilla experience but don't want to deal with trolls, griefers, or immaturity then come on down!
As for updates regarding the server, we've changed an option to enable more animals be able to be in captivity without them despawning. We'll be monitoring any kind of lag that this may cause and see how this goes for the time being
The server will be offline for at the least, a week I'm thinking while we get it set up. Hopefully by the time we get everything back up and running we'll have a stable release of bukkit to update to as well =p
The builds for the residential starting village are in place. Rest of the night will be spent making it look somewhat nice but do remember, you'll likely have to pretty your place up on your own.
Unfortunately this may take longer than we had planned. Because so many of you have requested a private region (27 of you) things are going to take a while...I'd like to take this time to clarify that should we have players that get "bored" and decide to sail for hours on end, thus making our world take up more storage space and we have to do this again?
Unless you have an EPIC build. Stuff is going in shacks in a flat area for transfer. We DID ask players to be considerate but alas, everyone here seems to be anti-social and want their own private area...
Regardless Happy New Years to you all. Hopefully this transfer will go quickly...
just a suggestion to your endless sailing problem... why don't you use the bukkit plugin Border Guard? it says it hasn't been updated in a while but I just tested on my private server and it still works just fine with the latest bukkit beta build
