I haven't yet started Hosting my server with MinecraftLayer but the support seems to be fast enough, I contacted them on their Website and this forums and the response time was fairly fast. Although i couldn't say the same for the installation time on the Dedicated server since i been waiting 2 days and a half now But once i have the server running on the dedicated server i will try to provide as much feedback as possible.

I haven't posted about MinecraftLayer since I got my service and thought I would give my 2 cents. I have dealt with several hosts. MCLayer is by far the best one I have dealt with. I have a VPS with them(1636MB one) and love it. I don't have a lot of players but play with a lot of mods(IC2, BuildCraft, RP2, etc....) and never have an issue with the server.
I do have one slight issue with McMyAdmin and Forge but that is a McMyAdmin issue and nothing that the MCLayer can do.
No lag on their end at all. Other people on my server have never had the issues that I have seen with other servers(block lag or lag in general).

Minecraft Layer ("MCLayer") are very professional with helping their clients. I have been hosting from this company for a while now, and now I have recently purchased a small Multicraft Server for personal use.
When I first started out I thought I knew everything about how a server worked because I have ran a few in the past couple years, well when I came to set up the server I had snag and their team of intelligent workers stayed in contact with me throughout my problems.
Minecraft Layer's, "Nick and Chris" deserve some credit to stay composed throughout all my e-mails and small bombardment of screenshots explaining my situation. They walked me through different steps and checks to find the solution.
Also, for those who need a great community on professional and greatly priced servers check out Minecraft Layer and NickHost. Their deals are outrageously extravagant not to ignore.

These guys offer the best hosting out there. The. Best. The hardware is amazing, the support is amazing, the prices are amazing (especially for what you get). I could not be happier with the service I get from Mclayer.
Minecraftlayer Please respond to your tickets, my dedicated server has been down for more then 10 hrs and it seems like it's going to be down longer because you guys haven't been responding to any of the tickets for over a week, this is not only me but everyone else. whats going on?
I just wanted to inform everyone that ownership has changed at MCLayer as of December 3rd. The new staff should be getting settled in soon. There have been a few unexpected issues with some of the datacenters MCLayer uses, but I would expect these to be cleared up soon. I have received several emails regarding support issues, but I am no longer the owner, and have not been involved with MCLayer for a few weeks now. I want to make sure you had the right contact information during the transition period. Please email the new owner (Chad) directly at chad[at]mclayer.com regarding support requests until he and his staff are able to handle the ticket load. I am no longer in a position to assist with support requests.
Thanks for your business and I wish you all the best going forward.
You seem to be on top of the business, I have a feeling that if my current host does not fix the problems with my server that only they can fix, I will probably be a new customer very soon if they let me down again.
I've hosted a server with MCLayer for the past five or so months now, and from what I've heard these guys were saints. The customer service was always prompt, the servers extremely reliable, and the tone always friendly when speaking with them.
Seeing as MCLayer has now been acquired by a new host, I would like to wish Nick and Tyler (and any of the old staff) the best of luck in their endeavors going forward; if they keep their business model focused on satisfying the customer like they did, they're bound to succeed. For me (and no doubt many other of their former clients) they will be sorely missed.
Now, that being said, I would not recommend purchasing hosting services from MCLayer at this time. The recent switch (which crept up quite suddenly) has recently begun to display signs of mishandling and uncertainty, to the point that I now feel obligated to search for a new host.
As stated prior, the customer service made MCLayer; they may not have been the cheapest, but their reliability and willing support made up for any price differences. Under this new owner, support has been significantly slowed (nut just for me; check the MCLayer Facebook page), and as I write this the entire website seems to be down. After searching email and multimedia, I have yet to find a reason why this is so, but it certainly doesn't provide me any sort of reassurance.
TL;DR: Transition to new ownership has been shaky thus far; I would wait until the dust settles to ensure that MCLayer remains stable and functioning before pursuing hosting from them.
WARNING: Do not sign up for MCLayer until they sort out their problems. They stopped responding to all support tickets a month ago and now the servers are dead. I don't know if they are all dead, but mine is.
I haven't bought a server yet, but I plan on it soon! You guys seem to be the best hoster on the internet! Also, could you update your 1GB demos, they are only on 1.4.4.

dont bother dude, they are going out of business or something. All tickets are ignored and there is no support of any kind.
crap i paid my bill today!
Yeah my server went down too, servers in Dalas all have cancer. Mine goes down extremely often, and the internet speed feels significantly lower than before (1gbps used to feel no lag).
Im sad to see the best hosting company go...and because i paid my server bill today, thinking my server was simply offline because of an unpaid invoice.
If your server is sitll online,i would highly reccomend backing up your files ASAP.....my plan was to switch hosts, but it appears i cant get my old files back at the moment.
On a side note, my tickets ARE still being responded to, but im usually just going "why is the server offline?" and they copy and paste back the dallas center has been having problems (they have had problems for months now).
I would really like to see them turn around, these guys were the best

I don't think it is going to happen. The company was sold in December and the support staff probably jumped ship immediately after. My guess is that the new company would like to get rid of the folks with long-term discounts like myself. The same exact thing happened with HostAltitude not 2 months ago.

Looks like a very nice company you have here.
