Howdy! I've been a happy customer of NodeCraft for a few months now. I initially signed up with them for their simple Hexxit/Tekkit set up, as well as their competitive rates. I've used maybe 4 or 5 different hosts in the past, some were good, some not so much, and NodeCraft has been, by far, the best of the bunch for me.
Here's the details for ya. I'm running a 1gb server for my friends and I to play on. We initially started playing Hexxit, having fun killing the mobs and getting the epic loot. Setting up the Hexxit server was as simple as clicking a button. Seriously, that's it. Just click, wait a minute, then boom, it's set up and ready to go. I had a few problems tweaking the config files to make the server match our preferences, and turned to the customer support for help. They were quick to respond, happy to help, and very competent. They walked me through the problems I was having and helped me make the server exactly what I wanted it to be. Plus, they were friendly all the way, which is huge with me. The server uptime was phenomenal, with rarely any problems, and the server itself ran very well, with no lag or slowdowns that we noticed.
After Starbound came out, my friends and I took a break from MC, leaving the server for a while. We've just recently returned and decided to switch the server over to a different mod pack, as Hexxit had played itself out. Once again, a single click let me change the mod pack and back up the Hexxit files, in case we wanted to go back later. Server was up and running within minutes.
All in all, great company. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to host a server without worrying about handling the back end stuff or just looking for a company with top notch customer support.
My servers currently runs through nodecraft, we pay for all the servers and are running about 12GBs of ram at the minute. We've had 80+ players on our small network which we've had no lag and full stability. I find nodecraft different in the aspect of you actually get value for your money. I'm very happy with my hosting, If your not convinced you can hop on my server (valiantmc.net) to test your lag.
I've been using NodeCraft as a host for quite some time, nine months actually (since June 2013), and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them and their services.
Before I say anything more about my experiences with NodeCraft, I should tell you about some of my experiences with other hosts I have used over the lifetime of my server, around four years (holy crap that's a long time). I've rented hosting from at least five or six different companies spread out over about three out of the four years. When I wasn't having a third party host my server, I was hosting it myself.. at home.. on a (now) 12 year old PC running Windows XP which was used normally during the day.. and with something like 0.8Mbps upload speed. But that's a whole other story!
Now, I never could find a server host that: 1) was relatively cheap for what they provided, 2) had good uptime, 3) had dedicated IPs, and 4) had good customer support. Each was lacking at least one of those. And the las host I used pretty much just died. One day I couldn't get on my server, then found out the control panel was also down, sent a support ticket (they almost never had live support online) and got no reply, ever. So I lost all of my servers recent data, about a months worth because I hadn't transferred a backup recently.
TL;DR: I never could find a host that reliably provided the services that I needed.
Until I found NodeCraft.
I started out, I believe, with a 1GB server, never had any problems. Then I upgraded to 2GB and now have that and a 1GB modded server running without a problem.
Throughout my time with NodeCraft, I've never had any real problems other than some recent network downtime, but that was an issue at PNAP (the company that houses the physical servers), not NodeCraft. They are willing to help customers, and there is more often than not someone available via their live chat.
Their prices may seem comparatively higher per GB of RAM then some other companies, at $10 per... but if you look at what you get, it makes sense: for that $10, yes you get 1GB RAM, but you also get a dedicated IP ( ex: "18.104.22.168" instead of "22.214.171.124:25837" ), a custom subdomain ( ex: failftw.mcnode.net ), Solid State Drives (SSDs), speedy CPUs, huge bandwidth, DDoS protection, a free mySQL database, and super awesome service! Other hosts might give you a GB of RAM for something like $7, but charge you an extra $2 for a dedicated IP, and hit you with extra fees for the little things that NodeCraft include in their price!
So, in the end, what I'm saying is that I am completely satisfied with the service that NodeCraft provides and I would recommend them to anybody that was thinking of purchasing a server!
~~ Will Happy customer of NodeCraft Owner of MGGSurvival mc.failftw.info Though it may look strange because of all the details and jargon, I was at no point asked to write a positive review by anyone. I just like to explain things I say.. a lot. These are all my honest opinions.
I got a feedback email from NodeCraft so I thought I'd post a quick note here. I've got two (20 and 30 slot) servers running on Node and it's been perfect so far. The one click mod-pack is great. One vanilla MC and one running Voltz. Support tickets are answered within the hour. I had one issue with a server taking a few days to permission, but under another user name, so prob my fault.
I can't really comment on lag as I see none, but I am running a Mac Pro with 32Gb and a fiber connection. MC handle is griffin*****.
I've been out of the Minecraft scene for over a year now but I decided to give it another go after so many updates. After a lot of searching and looking for a solid host I settled on Nodecraft since their pricing hits a sweet spot for me right in the middle between the highest priced and the lowest priced.
So far, so good. I haven't had any lag or downtime whatsoever. Running a 1GB server for $10 a month with Bukkit and about 7 plugins without a hiccup. I had a really dumb question when I first got my server about setting up FTP access so I opened a ticket at 12 AM EST thinking I wouldn't get a response until the next day and got a really quick response within 10 mins.
I haven't been there a month yet but so far it looks really a rock solid host. Its perfect for a casual server you plan on enjoying with a couple of friends and maybe a few randoms here and there.
Its a shame I got my server about a week too early before I could enjoy the promo code above but even then its been worth the $10 so far.
Disclaimer: I have not pushed the server to its limits yet so I have no idea how it'll run at cap (20 players for 1 GB).
Hello everyone my name is Chris,
I'm currently hosting my own server, and my host is NodeCraft.
I'm not here to advertise, I'm here to let everyone know.
I highly reccomend useing them as your server host.
There is absolutely 100% No lagg once so ever.
The couple people that are on my server, seem to enjoy it very much
The prices are beyond worth it. Not to high, Not to low. And the deals and offers
Very friendly people for the Live-Support chats. And I just want to appreciate everything
they have done for me, I really really really! Appreciate it, and just Thank you so much.
NodeCraft is a very professional and capable server hosting service which will provide you with an easy-access web interface as well as ftp connection instructions (useful for quickly transferring files back and forth). In case something were to go wrong they have a fast ticket system through which they will get back to you in a matter of hours (or even earlier).
NodeCraft will always shine in my eyes because they stand for creativity, productivity and supporting independent development which makes them stand out!
Hey guys, just wanted to drop by and say that your service is above excellent. The host I tried before Nodecraft was pretty hands-off and a little hard to communicate with as far as support goes. Also your prices are very competitive and worth it, when adding in the value of your service, promptness, and professionalism. I did cancel for a few months due to friends taking a break (I only run it for about 5-10 people) but I had zero qualms about coming back since I felt very comfortable with your system. There were a few hiccups but nothing worthy of note and nothing that wasn't fixed in a flash by your professional and quick support team. All in all 10/10 service and will stick with you as long as you're up and running.
