Hello Nodecraft, I am looking to test out new server hosts to make sure they can handle our mod pack and plugins before moving off and officially becoming a part of their community. Is there a money back guarantee for a specific time frame after purchasing? I would hate, like any other person, to have problems with my service and be out of pocket for a plan I can't use. Lastly, I went to select a plan to learn more about your servers and what you have to offer. I noticed that you list '3' nodes per plan type, but you don't like where those nodes are located and you can not select your nodes location at checkout. May I know more about this?
We do absolutely offer a money back guarantee for exact situations such as the aforementioned! If during the first 72 hours, you feel unsatisfied with the service, we'll offer a complete refund, and only ask that you let us know how we can improve our services in the future. You can read further details about our guarantee at https://nodecraft.com/about/guarantee#guarantee
Regarding our node locations and any server configuration, this all happens after the order process. We've made the order process extremely simple, but after purchase, you'll have a choice of our three locations for deployment; https://nodecraft.com/about/network
Let us know if you have any further questions and we'll be happy to assist!
Unfortunately due to uncontrollable and unforeseen events the node for which your service was hosted suffered catastrophic failure for the SSD for all services on this device. The data corruption is unrecoverable and your server's data is lost.
We understand the magnitude of an issue like this and wish to offer you a full refund for the current month of service you have paid for. This can be a refund to your payment method or as credit for your next invoice. We also want to extend additional backup space free for your account when the backup space addition is launched for customer use.
As you may or may not have been aware our offsite backup solution was launched yesterday. Creating backups into this solution is the best way to guarantee your server files are kept in an event such as this one.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you in this matter.
We're terribly sorry that you're disappointed with our service. We did indeed have a catastrophic failure on one of our devices, less than 24 hours after we deployed our new backup system, which is absolutely terrible timing unfortunately.
The notice we sent does clearly offer what we feel ample compensation - a full refund of your last invoice via your payment method. A refund has already been issued on your request, and your service will still be active until the end of your current billing period, at no charge.
As per our terms of service section XII, you have agreed to take your own backups of your service for situations exactly like these, and although this is an extremely unfortunate event, there is very little that we can do further here. Please do let us know if there is anything else we can do.
Thanks for your help... I did have it up and running and logged in...
But now once again the server is offline and will not come back online.
We're very happy to assist you with any issues Justin should you contact us via our website. With a brief look though, your server has about 2 hours of flawless uptime, and 3 players currently playing as we speak.
We're very excited to announce the newest feature addition to NodePanel; Backups!
Our new backup system offers our customers an offsite backup solution, and the peace of mind that their data is safe. We’ve designed our backup system to offer two forms of backup; “smart” and “full”. A “smart” backup will backup only absolutely important data (world, configs, etc) and ignore jars, mods, SQLite DBs, etc which will produce a much smaller backup, whereas a full backup will backup absolutely everything in your server and will of course be much larger.
Our current backup quotas sit at 5GB of backup space per 1GB of RAM. We will be offering the ability to increase this quota in the future, so please do contact us and let us know if you require any more space! When you create a new backup, our system will automatically clear the oldest backup(s) to make room for your new one, to ensure you stay within your limits. If there is a particular backup you do not want deleted, you can “lock” this backup, but do note that this may prevent any future backups from being created, if your “locked” backups exceed your backup limits.
Backups can be downloaded straight to your local computer, removed and “uploaded” to your server directory, so you can use our file manager to unzip them.
