Small Preview of Custom Generator from Vyta Plugin
The idea: The server only uses one plugin called Vyta being developed by our developer team. The main goal of the server is to add eight strongholds each holding a unique ore to mine from. The ores will help you craft unique armor, weapons, tools and materials used for building bases. You will start off either somewhat close or in the first stronghold. Venturing to other strongholds will be difficult as the custom mobs difficulty will be based on the distance from the first stronghold. Other obstacles may arise as for e.g. water may poison you on touch and long exposure to the sun will give you wither effects. Depending on your class that you choose you may neglect these effects but doing so with arise other problems.
Old Idea (to be implemented into new idea description eventually)
Setting
All vanilla recipes, mob drops, block drops, xp drops will be wiped. Breaking / placing blocks will be blocked. There will be a broken down stronghold surrounded by custom generated apocalyptic terrain. Players will start off with nothing. Before I can tell you anything further, I must explain how the mobs will work.
Mobs
The farther away the player is from the stronghold, the tougher the mobs are. Some mobs will split on death depending on their given level. For e.g. a mob would split into 2 weaker mobs and than those 2 mobs would split into 4 or 3 based on chance and light levels, etc. Mobs will also drop special items for custom recipes needed towards player research and class development.
Setting
So these mobs will be spawned all around the world at night making it very difficult for the player to venture from the stronghold at night. To make things even more fun, the sun will hurt the player with the wither, nausea, and weakness effects. There will also be rivers that the player will need to cross and the water will poison the player, and special mobs will spawn in the river making it even more difficult to cross. Why would the player need to venture out from the stronghold? Well, in the stronghold the player will have a way of obtaining a pickaxe from by means of mob loot or finding treasure around the world. With this pick the player will be able to mine lapiz to get light blue dye (Ythe ore) and when burned in a furnace produces prismarine shard (Ythe Ingot). With the Ythe ingot the player will have options to get Ythe tools, weapons and armor. The Ythe Ingot can be broken down into Prismarine Crystals (the games currency) which will be used throughout the whole players adventure.
Passive vs Hostile Strongholds
Passive Strongholds: As the player ventures out they will find other strongholds, each having their own unique ore used to craft armors, weapons and tools. The farther the stronghold the better the loot. Each stronghold will have a mine, a merchant and a room with beds for players to set their spawn point if they so wish.
Hostile Strongholds: These strongholds separate from the main area and will be accessible via a player GUI. You will need to be a set level before you can engage in these strongholds. The strongholds will be guarded with very powerful mobs and you will surely die the first time but the loot will be worth it.
Crafting
Crafting will be a pain and very time consuming but worth it. A typical tier I bow or sword will take about 5 minutes to craft. The mobs you kill will drop loot which will aid in crafting making life alot easier when crafting useful items. There will be a GUI to view all recipe craftables and researchables as well as a place for choosing classes.
Classes
Depending on your class, you could for e.g. regenerate life when in the presence of dark lighting / moon light or during the day. Another e.g. would be gaining the strength buff when below 20% health or after taking a hit of damage greater than 5. There will be three classes to choose from, the shadow (archer), the scythe (sword) and the forgotten (mixed).
Player Freedom
If the player travels 3000 blocks from any stronghold or the main path, they will be able to build. There will be ways to block the effects of the deadly sun. If they want to get back to the main area, they will have to die. Building blocks will be a pain to craft as it will require alot of resources just to build 1 slab. This is why its better to research technology before you venture out and make your own path. When building materials are placed, you're instantly putting yourself at a high risk at night as deadly mobs will spawn near you when your near your base. If you were to place something advanced as a crafting table (end game item) your asking for even more trouble.
A little info about me: I'm a developer willing to help people who have no Java coding experience what so ever and show them how to make minecraft plugins from scratch. Minecraft is a game where you can destroy or place blocks, craft recipes and hit mobs, but it can be so much more if you have the ability to edit it to how you wish it to be. I'm asking you to come on a journey with me and learn how to make plugins and supposedly in return you can help me with my servers development if you so wish. Please join the discord here http://discord.gg/FdHzkgy.
The application format: Before you may become a developer for my server I require you to reply with these set of questions listed below. If you do not want to be a developer but would rather be a co-owner, admin, moderator, builder or helper than adjust the app below by omitting all developer questions. I will be checking this thread every 2 minutes for replies. I will be on both the server, this thread and the discord if you need me.
The server IP is 206.45.199.56:7777 I will be on the server waiting for your app submissions. The plugin is currently loaded on the server, right now all it does is give gravity to trees, gravity to ladders, crafting tables, +15 other blocks on place, ores soften up with falling cobblestone around the ore, custom mobs spawn on mounted horses, custom terrain is generated throughout world, trees and grass and chests and all ore types spawn throughout world, players spawn on a mount on join and death respawn. That is all that is on the server right now, you should not except anything more than this at the moment. You may build in creative on join if you so wish.
Create a scenario about a player breaking the rules. Now resolve the situation:
