Physical description: Taron is, by many descriptions, a stockly built man. He looks like a soldier with his bulky shoulders, nearly wire frame, and toned legs. Yet his ocean blue eyes show a different sign- that of a man tending to his equipment and raising his cattle and crop, with his brown hair being brushed back as though he thought himself a nobleman. He stands, by many accounts, at 5.11, and on occasion is seen writing in a journal of his life, his business transactions, and anything else he does.

Biography: Taron grew up in a very small village, one that supplied the port city of Vaerdezzia- though his family was not Guyerese in origin. They hailed from the Mountain Clans, and had been learning how to farm for generations. The village, however, was but minutia among the hundreds of others, lesser yet compared to the behemoth of a city that resided nearby. At the age of 10, Taron began to work with his father- however he did not primarily learn how to farm. Mostly, the young man had learned the trade of repairing tools, forging, and the like. By the age of 16, he was a somewhat skilled blacksmith, and had the basic knowledge of livestock husbandry as well as crop tending. He was, in effect, self-sufficient. At the age of 19, the farm was not in the best of shape- livestock had died over the winter from malnutrition, and the meat that had been edible from their carcasses was as nutritious as raw hide. In short, the family was starving. Their options limited, the land was sold off to other families in exchange for a cut of their harvest, in this, the family was able to survive by the skin of it’s teeth. Seeing this rapid change, Taron decided to leave the family farm for good- heading east towards Vaerdezzia to work his hand at a forge. There was a lot of pain in leaving, his father had shouted at him the night before leaving as Taron packed, and in the morning all the young man got was cursing and a death wish. The boy that once repaired tools would soon learn, out of necessity, to forge blades and shields. For about 5 years, he honed his skills at forging and smithing weaponry, tools, crafts, the like. He was even contracted to make a small sculpture out of iron for a wealthy merchant guild which agreed to, in exchange, pay for his trip to Braxia. Forging was his escape, his way to make ends meet. Nobody, not even Taron, expected that it would become an important part of his life. Both for good, and for bad.
At the age of 25, 1 year into his independent work as a contract blacksmith, Taron experienced an accident at the forge. When he was casting a sword and hammering out the metal, which had been cooled earlier, he had accidentally stuck his left hand into the iron. The pain was indescribable, because even at the temperature recommended for a sword to be hammered a blacksmith needs the metal to at least be hot enough to still move- and the way Taron crafted swords, he used liquified iron ore in layers, each hotter than the last before making a final product. What this lead to, his left hand being stuck in a batch of the warm (240F) iron, was not ideal. His left arm was burned to the third degree even after being soaked in water- so now he has to wear a bandage and apply ointment almost every night. His hand, thankfully, was mostly saved from the burns.
It’s become normal, though. After three years of living with the pain, he has figured out that even if it’s only a light coating of iron, he can- due to the complete loss of nerve endings in his left hand, create a weapon that can literally fit like a glove, he sees it as the only real weapon he can rely on due to his bad skills at normal swordplay. In essence, it’s a gauntlet with an attached shortsword- two prongs, like a skewer. The thing fits like a glove and the blades can be modified from their shortest at 2 inches to their longest (for stability and durability reasons) at 10inches.
Despite his obvious disability losing the nerves in his left arm Taron is still able to move his fingers and thus do work- he has movement, but not full control. HIs mother had learned about the news, and had sent Taron a small gift of homemade sweets, as well as some local cheeses. There were also jams, which Taron gave to the poor children in the slums of Vaerdezzio during the winter months after he gave them all tiny trinkets he’d make.
What is your character’s main goal?: To live and survive in his new homeland, and to hopefully become a great scholar one day if not a renowned blacksmith.
Strengths: Taron, despite growing up on a farm with little access to books, has a very strong mind. He is, in many ways, an inventor. In terms of personality, he knows how to take rejection, and haggle for prices to go in his favor. He is also a skilled blacksmith, and while not being able to forge “anything”, he’s considered one of the more exquisite smith’s- often contracted due to his attention to detail and aesthetics.
Weaknesses: Physically speaking, Talon is not the best at combat- despite forging blades and shields, as well as forging sculptures, he has little to no combat experience, though he is still able to hold and wield a sword. In terms of personality, the young man is very arrogant with his ideas, and attempts to get his way in many situations.
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation. Your ICRs will be used to see how well you can RP. Please post them as if in IC chat. An example can be found after this form.)
Due a recent accident, you wander the dark quiet streets of the town with a broken ankle trying to make your way home: Taron, not having any materials to make a splint, walks along the street and decides to put salt over the wound and rest by the river for the night- eventually slumping into the side of the farmhouse building that would provide shade from the sun should he stay the night.
In a tavern, a stranger threatens you to fight him/her: “Hey you! You’re a horrible smith!” The drunkard yelled across the hall, noting Taron’s marking on the brass-lined flagon. “Really?” Taron retorts with a smile. “Really!” With that, the drunkard threw the flagon across the room. Taron- noting this, caught the flagon and put it back on the table beside him. He would then proceed to walk out without another word. The drunkard however, would not be brushed aside- running after Taron down the road and tackling the blacksmith. Wrestling the man off of him was no easy task, and Taron was lucky to have been coming back from the forge- without his hammer, the man probably never would have gone away. Swinging it to the side, Taron had bashed the man in the collar bone on the left side- making him crumble.

Lore Questions
List three causes for the fall of the Empiracle: - Mountain Clan Revolution - Infighting - Inability to secure internal revolts and provide security
Who is proposing an expedition to the western lands?: a Braxian nobleman/explorer named Robert Edwarding
Where is the expedition to be launched from?: Roland’s Field
Sorry to say, but your application has been rejected. Rejected means you cannot apply again.
- You missed an entire ICR question.
- Instead of really focusing on improving what you already have, you decided to spend twice as much words on trying to explain a new idea you wanted with your character. Instead of just writing down different ideas for your character - on your last attempt - you should have asked me for advice to see if that was a safe thing to do. Even if it did work, you also cut off the last part of your biography where you're supposed to explain why and how Taron went to Roland's Field. And after that, I would think something like that would be memorable enough to put it in the weakness and/or strength section.
- The class would fit Rogue more than Swordsman.
Again, we are very sorry to reject your application. We wish you good luck in finding another roleplay server.
- You must stay within the lore in your biography. You also need to flesh out your character. Tell me about some very important events in his life (while staying within the lore) to give him more depth.
- The punctuation is agonizing for my eyes. Please don't space out your punctuations.
- Saying he's weapon less without a sword isn't a weakness in any way. Give him a real physical detriment that will balance out your character's superb physique.
Caydense:
Everything was perfect except for the skin and class portion. Upload your image to imgur and post the link on the application. For your characters classes, read more on the class section on the OP and try again. Merchant is not a real class.
Darclow:
- Your class says farmer for really no reason. Choose two half classes that would fit your character best.
- You said your character knowing how to use a bow is a weakness. It's not. You need to give better explanation of how and when he learned to use a bow and arrows.
- You will need to write a VA for your character if you are accepted.
Biography (Minimum 300 words. No clichés such as loved one being killed by robbers or the like.): Aaron was born to a normal life. His parents owned an inn, he and his siblings helped out when they could. Jacob loved all the cool weapons and armour some adventurers brought in. Jacob always volunteered to clean them. He also liked the stories the guards told of slaying beasts or barbarians that got too close. Jacob had decided at age eleven that he wanted men to tell tales of the great Jacob McFarrelly. His parents where minorly skeptical at first but came around when they realized he would be helping people. He spent nights reading books on both blacksmithing and stories of knights. He was sad he could not be both and could not decide which one. He looked to the stars and asked himself, why dont I at least give smithing a try?
So Aaron went to his uncle, a smith by trade. He taught him basic things at first. Eventually growing to the harder things. Jacob liked this but he did not like the lack of action. He soon grew tired of the blacksmithing and the satisfaction of helping others. He finished up the year off blacksmithing and went off to see what being a guard was like.
When hewasnt at the inn, he was at the barracks across town. It was led by an old man named Jack. The old man was a couple years from retirement and decided to teach a youngling his ways. He taught him a bit. He was taught no matter how mad he grew, to always continue doing his job. Jacob always marveled at jacks prized sword, it was blue and almost looked glass like. Jack called this material, Diamond. So when hewas finally ready, he decided to go to another town and help them with their guard, perhaps become a captain. Though deep down he really ponders what would happen what would happen if he became a blacksmith instead.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation):He wants to be a great guard, one who people tell tales of.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):Aaron is quite smart, he loves helping people. But he is best with his sword, he feels calmest with it in hand.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.)He is afraid of small spaces and being buried alive. He is also allergic to Cats.
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation. Your ICRs will be used to see how well you can RP. Please post them as if in IC chat. An example can be found after this form.)
Due a recent accident, you wander the dark quiet streets of the town with a broken ankle trying to make your way home:
*I walk limping looking for something to prop myself up with. I lean up against a tree, chopping a branch off with my sword slowly, slowed by the pain. I then use this branch as a cane. I realize my armor is wearing me down so I stop to remove it thinking I will come back for it. I move faster without this armor trying to get home when I come up by it. I take my key out but then realize t was with my armor. I use my sword to slowly cop off the hinges and climb into my bed.*
In a tavern, a stranger threatens you to fight him/her:
"Im sorry friend but I cannot fight you. I feel that this is the alcohol talking. Why dont you calm down and I will buy you another drink?" *I ignore the insults and buy the man a drink. We then drink together for the rest of the night, as if old pals.*
Your superior asks for a favour you would have problem doing:
"Sir, I cant just go kill someone because a few people say they did wrong. We haven't evidence. For all we know the so called witnesses were the ones who commtied the crime." *I find the man and tell him of his wanting. I assure him that I wont hurt him and take him to his friends cabin in the mountains until there was proof on who had commited the crime. In which it turned out to be the witnesses.*

You application had several problems, however, nothing so terrible that you won't be able to fix it. Firstly, there's your grammar and spelling. It certainly isn't atrocious, but I noticed SEVERAL fairly distracting errors, especially in the ICRs. Please, go over your application and try to fix those, as that would greatly enhance your chances of being accepted.
Secondly, and this is VERY important, your character cannot start out as an alchemist. Alchemist is a scholar class, which means that you have to get it through roleplay on the server, by finding a teacher. While your character can have been exposed to the basics of alchemy as a child, perhaps picked up an interest in it, and start out with knowledge in the more mundane sciences, they cannot begin as a fully-fledged alchemist. Your bio was also missing your character's reasoning for going to the new world and the colonies, which is where the server is set.
For the miscellaneous mistakes, your ICRs, especially the second two, were VERY short, and fairly difficult to read. Additionally, your skin didn't post, and we NEED to see your skin before we can accept your. Last, but certainly not least, your answer to the second Lore question was too vague. Look back in the OP for PEOPLE proposing the expedition.
If you fix all these up, you should be good!
Nochytaco
Now, your app wasn't that bad, either. But there was one VERY large problem, and several other smaller ones, that you have to sort out.
To point out the obvious, your entire app should NOT be underlined. Seriously, just looking at your app gives me a headache. Please, PLEASE fix that, that should be your main priority. Secondly, your answers to the OOC questions were VERY short. Perhaps you should try to make them a tad deeper, or provide examples? Now, this problem with your app is going to be a bit trickier to fix. Your skin absolutely CANNOT have armor on it. If your character went around with armor 24/7, that would be extremely over-powered, and a bit ridiculous, since you'd still have to put armor over the armor on your skin. Now, we have several talented people on the enjin who can skin, so perhaps you should ask around there? However, if you want for them to make the skin how you'd like it, you MUST make the physical description far more detailed, it is far too bare-bones, right now.
Now, your strengths and weaknesses section seems a bit unbalanced. It seems that while your character is quite good at swordplay, there is no downside to this benefit. Perhaps you could give him a trade-off for this skill in the blade, for instance, he is a fast fighter, but not a hard hitter, or slower, but stronger.
Last, but not least, there are your ICRs. There were all fairly good, but they were all VERY short. I'd recommend giving your character's actions context. Show what the drunk was insulting you with, how you broke that ankle, or how your superior reacts! It'll make the ICRs longer, and flow better.
Other than those problems, this was a very good app. I hope to see if all fixed up. Best of luck!
If you want more information on upcoming events, changes in our custom plugins, or more info on the server in general, head over to our website, at http://silvergaming.enjin.com/
You told me there were few problems with my app, the list seems to be many. Im no longer sure this server is for me. I dont want the skin to change for it would interfere with my other roleplay server. Thank you for looking at my app. I may or may not fix it. You seem very picky.
Well, nochyotaco, that's your choice. Silver Gaming is an awesome RP community, and I thought that your app had quite a bit of potential, if you'd just fix it up, but at the end of the day, it is entirely up to you, as to whether or not you want to re-apply. And as I said, there are plenty of people both in our community and out on the interwebs who'd be happy to help you out with providing an edited version of your skin. But, if you still feel like not re-applying, we here at Silver Gaming wish you the best of luck in finding another RP server.
Do you wish to join our community Skype chat? If so, what is your Skype username? (This is optional) Yes but I prefer to not give my skype username out publicly. I can message one of you my skype username to be added.
Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server?: Yes I have read both the lore, up to recent, and the rules. Although my character will probably not be knowledgeable in this as I'll explain in the backstory, and I'd rather not use OOC information IG.
What is the definition of “Powergaming”?: Powergaming is when you magnify your character to be extremely powerful with little to no weaknesses. This can be anything from giving him unlimited life (Achille's heel type thing) or just being "so fast the axe chops your head off before you can react" situations.
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?: Using information you've learned by OOC or any other chat to influence/give to your character. If my character is from an outward town, then they should know little to none about the inner workings of a city they've never been to.
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?: Roleplaying is a term used for interactive stories that involve players taking up a role in which they immerse themselves into a realm that may or may not be realistic by normal standards. This can range from a simple roleplay about living in a house to being a dragon master on the moon.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: No one can, as they lag servers typically. The only people I would GUESS could would be the owners but I don't feel like they would.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: Only if the owner is okay with that situation or the roleplay has immersed itself enough to lead to that, in which a moderator or admin should step in to analyze the fight to see if death is a probable outcome.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?: in the OOC channel but if you are roleplaying and need to go do something really fast, you can use (( )) to show OOC talking.
Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere? A little on minecraft, been recently trying it out. But I've done it a lot on websites like Roleplayer.me,forum boards, skype, phone, facebook, BYOND games, etc.
Character Information
Name: Augustine Mars
Age: 23
Class: (I believe you pick two right?) Archer and Craftsman (If not two at the start, I'd like Craftsman as a starting class)
Physical description: Long red hair that goes down to her legs, wearing green leaf-made clothing to protect her body. She has green eyes and her skin is pale white, and a medium body type. She's only 5' tall, so she's relatively smaller than most for her age.
Biography (Minimum 300 words. No clichés such as loved one being killed by robbers or the like.): Augustine was an orphan when her parents abandoned her at the age of six, leaving her in the woods. Instead of dying, she learned the land and resources to survive. This caused her to become very isolated to the world, but at the same time smart to the land. She never got the hang of farming, but was able to forage from berries or steal food when needed. She always repaid them in some way, gifting items or tools in exchange for the objects she stole. Sadly her treehouse home was destroyed in a wildfire, causing her to become a nomad and travel the land. Augustine's journey took her out of the forests and into a city of unknown, the first time she was around other human being for almost 20 years. This causes her to become very socially awkward and do things that may seem..unusual, but her heart is in the right place..most of the time.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): Her motivation is simple: Survival. Her home was burned so she hopes to find a new home, but also explore and develop herself into something more than a hermit.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): She has a good memory and skin is physically stronger than most meaning she can lift more for her size. Is highly knowledgeable about crafting and resources, and nimble when climbing trees or cliffs.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): She hardly speaks, so communication is a big mountain for her to climb. She's relatively small so many people assume she's weaker than most and her skin bleeds easily from cuts or bruises. Augustine is also claustrophobic, meaning she'll rarely have a roof on her house or be in a small room to sleep/be in for more than a few minutes.
Augustine winced at the pain from her ankle, a large gash across her leg and the bone slightly sticking out. She knew climbing on top of that wild bull running crazily through the town was dangerous, but was a bit too cocky of her knowledge on animals to really think it was any threat. Her hands grip onto the wall of the old dusty buildings, slowly hopping on her good foot as some blood drips down from the cuts. She looks up into the sky, seeing the moon shine brightly above her signaling the everlasting night will only drag on slowly. Augustine sighed heavily, adjusting her weight before trying to jump across a puddle in the middle of the alleyway. She slipped, falling into it as her ankle twisted more-so and her body was covered in now thick muck from the dirty water.
In a tavern, a stranger threatens you to fight him/her:
Augustine looks at the man, raising an eyebrow. She sizes him up, seeing he was larger than her but not as fast, and shook off his threat. She quickly just put the coins on the tavern counter as payment for her drink, before grabbing her bag and heading towards the door. (Wanted to leave room for the stranger to attack)
Your superior asks for a favour you would have problem doing:
Her face turned into a scowl. "No." She quietly said, her voice barely above a whisper. Her body jerked back slightly, almost appalled at the offer. She straightened herself and her composure, before turning on her heel and starting to saunter away with a slightly agitated expression on her face.
Lore Questions
List three causes for the fall of the Empiracle: Southern nations began to oppose the Empiracle, refusing to be forced into the over-all nation's ruling. Then political disorder became rapid within the Empiracle, causing inner conflicts that weakened the control of the people. Vaerdezzio finally seperates and many wars commence, overall leading to the downfall of the united nation.
Who is proposing an expedition to the western lands?: Braxia explorer R.Ewarding
Where is the expedition to be launched from?: Roland's field to meet, then Rocky Cape to travel off to.
Questions or comments?: I hope this server is populated or active, I've seen many that sadly died off.
Your OOC questions were good, besides one thing;
"When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?"; You had a good answer, but normally one would need a VA (villian application that's been accepted) to kill another character. However, one could kill someone else, with permission of the characters owner, if it's in self defense.
I don't think Archer fits as a class, maybe expand on it in your bio so it fits her more? I can see how it'd work, but you have to type it out in the bio on how she learned to do it, etc.
Now onto the next problem, your biography is really short. It needs to be at least 300 words long. Your's is only 159 words. That's a little bit more than half. A way to fix this would be to just expand on what you already have. Think of your current bio as a summary and you just have to type it out more. How old was she when she was abandoned? What started the forest fire? How did she react to being around humans for the first time in her life? Also, why is she going on the expedition? How did she end up in the colonies? Answering these could help you get the desired length.
Strengths/Weaknesses;
You say, as a strength, that she has 'skin is physically stronger than most meaning she can lift more for her size.' now I see a couple things wrong with this. Her skin can lift things? I think you mean to say that she physically fit rather than having thick skin, because you went on to say in the weaknesses that; 'her skin bleeds easily from cuts or bruises.' Also, while we're on weaknesses, I wouldn't consider this; 'She's relatively small' a weakness.
So expand on your strengths a little, perhaps?
Your IC Questions. The first one was good. The second two? short. Please expand on them. Show her fighting the stranger, or taking a retreat from the fight. For the third one, just expand on what your superior asked you to do, maybe explain why she'd hate it?
If you need any help, contact me on here or on skype at Jay.Carnage
OK before I edit it and spend a lot of time, a few things I need to address:
The bio I can fix, I didn't use wordcount as it was late when I wrote it. The OOC question I can edit, yeah sure. The strength/weaknesses I can fix aswell.
The only issue I have is IC questions.. If I'm going to answer something truthfully, honestly, I will not go past that. I'm viewing them as if I got a situation or reply with that context, and are replying in such a manner. If you're looking for more details, I'd suggest expanding it than rather "You get an unwanted order" because most characters- like mine- would just grumble and walk off.. My character's personality would not initiate fights, and I don't fluff up my posts to make a long paragraph because its tacky and shows lacking of skills.
If you want me to write out a scenario to show my roleplaying skills, I'd need someone actively fighting me or more details than just "someone wants to fight you" because my character WILL walk away from the fight, or do the unwanted job because that's her personality. You haven't factored in not all characters will charge into fight or outwardly get into trouble.
Also a major concern: If you wish for me to edit my submission, I need to know.. Is the server active both OOC and IC. because I've gone through five servers and none of them are active enough for the effort to get INTO them.
Do you wish to join our community Skype chat? If so, what is your Skype username? (This is optional) clampylevi
Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server?: Yes
What is the definition of “Powergaming”?: “Powergaming is a style of interacting with games or game-like systems with the aim of maximising progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of other considerations such as storytelling, atmosphere and camaraderie.” – though I know you’re more concerned with the element of power-gaming (a.k.a. power-emoting) of forcing actions or effects upon another beyond their control.
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?: The use of OOC information IC or beyond what is reasonable for a character to know/understand.
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?: Playing a set role which differs from the players own personality and skillsets, in gaming it usually refers to playing a set character with their own strengths, weaknesses, goals and code of ethics.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: I would say no-one, but I’m sure if Notch or Jeb came on flying no-one would care.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: When they agree to it, generally plan (to an extent) this out before hand to make it more dramatic, otherwise let them choose to die. Afterall, people don’t kill people, guns kill people, and there aren’t any guns in Minecraft.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?: ((Hopefully at home and IRL, but on server I’ll stick to my double parentheses, but no smilies at the end (they look awkward) )) ((See?)).
Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere? Much. I’ve roleplayed for almost twenty years now, mostly pencil and paper (SR, FS, DnD, MERP etc.) as well as many computer games and several MC servers (most recently as staff on Kingdoms of Terra).
Character Information
Name: Diestro Hidalgo
Age: 37
Class: This man is all class. Oh, right, I mean Swordsman/Craftsman.
Physical description: Slim frame, 5’6” with jet-black hair. Maintains a well-kept and neat appearance. Wears (relatively) costly clothing to go with his arrogant but friendly demeanour.
Biography (Minimum 300 words. No clichés such as loved one being killed by robbers or the like.):
((I’m not sure how multi-cultural the world is meant to be, so I am taking a little leap here. Just let me know if it’s a bit far and I’ll pick a new character or adjust as needed. Sorry for the cliché too. I’m also taking a little liberty into the ethnicity of some of the world powers, specifically assuming Ombria is Spanish/Portugese (afterall Ombria IRL is in Portugal), Guyre being French (as ‘guerre’ is French for war) and Vaerdezzio being Italian (Venetian to be specific))).
Diestro Hidalgo is an (older than he cares to admit) young Ombrian who gets along well with his countrymen and is really overall an upstanding citizen… okay, not really. He has no problem with his fellow Ombrians, but they have problems with him. Diestro was part of a minor noble household, the Hidalgos, and was a well-respected member of society. He is noble in character, honourable to a fault and oozes charisma. The problem is, that when the priests took over, he wasn’t a big fan. As far as Diestro is concerned religion has no place in governance. The new government disagrees.
At first it was just a source of tension, Diestro would speak out against the pervasion of the clergy in governance believing that it corrupts both the government and the religion itself. The new councils lackeys would chastise him, but his noble heritage and strong family kept everything civil with little more than a few slaps on the wrist. When the growing zealotry among his fellow citizens turned xenophobic to the point of a lynch-mob threatening a Braxian merchant family, things went too far.
“Stand down my good men! These here people have caused you no harm nor ill will!” shouted Diestro as he lept in front of the flimsy door that was the only thing separating the mob from the foreigners.
“They’re Braxians! They’d kill us if they had the chance!” the mob rationalised.
“Yeah! Kill the foreigners while we can!” came another shout as the rationalisation became, well, less rational.
“But my good people, these are not soldiers, they are no invasion force. These are the same family that sold you your farming supplies. The very pitchforks you threaten them with came from these people!” came the pleas of Diestro, foolishly trying to use logic on an angry mob.
“Then they must be spies!” came the chants “Selling weapons! They must be invaders!” the family was still stuck here, but reason had clearly left.
“Be calm friends, they are not our enemies. Look, here comes my father, he will explain it to you.” His voice starting to waver until the timely appearance of his (well respected) father.
His father, El Hefe Hidalgo, was an aging man who had acted as mayor of the town for many years. His presence helped to ease tensions… for a while.
“Diestro, you must take this family far from here, help them out of the country while they can still make it. I will settle the crowd.” Whispered his father in the clear and demanding way that comes from years of leadership.
Diestro went inside and told the family to gather their things quickly, explaining the situation to them. As they sorted themselves out he could hear the voices of the mob getting angrier, he looked outside and saw why. A priest had arrived, further fanning the flames of hatred in the mob, turning them on not just the Braxians, but on Diestros father as well. Sensing an approaching climax, he hurried the family out the back and fled with them. The timing was apt, as it turned out the flimsy door and frail body of his father were no match for the hordes rage. As he left he turned to see both smashed and flat on the floor, as motionless as each other. His father had died to protect him and this family.
Diestro spent the next week helping smuggle the family out by taking them on hunting trails that only the nobles knew well, but when he returned things had managed to get even worse. Apparently the priest had convinced his family that his fathers death was his fault, and instead of being welcomed warmly when he approached the manor, he was chased by the guards. The same guards that he had grown up with, that protected him, that came with him on hunts. Diestro was truly a pariah now.
He managed to evade them and also fled Ombria, all of his friends and allies were against him now. He was an enemy of the state and a marked man by his own family. The only friends he had now were the Braxians he had helped escape. It took two months, two long hard months of poverty until he found them, but they could not offer him the salvation he needed. It was not safe to stay here while the threat of assassination funded by his own family stalked after him. Instead, the merchant family organised passage for him to the new lands, where he could be a colonist. It would be tough, it would be foreign and it would be dangerous. But, unlike where he was, at least the dangers in the colonies were not actively looking for him. This is the only advantage for poor Diestro, but all the advantage he needs to right his name and restore his honour.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): Diestro is a man of honour and respect. These have been taken from him, but he will do what he can to return that honour.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): The Hidalgos were nobles and while Diestro did receive martial training, his real strengths are in his mind and heart, not his arms. Diestro is a charismatic man who excels at attracting people to him. He is also dead-set gorgeous, that helps too.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Diestro is driven, a bit too driven by honour and reputation. This prevents him from treating others unfairly (in his eyes) even to his own disadvantage. Furthermore, he over-reacts to slights against his character and quickly loses his temper around zealots and those who pry too far into his family history.

Due a recent accident, you wander the dark quiet streets of the town with a broken ankle trying to make your way home:
(If you don’t mind I combined the first two to make them a bit more interesting).
“Why the frak did you do that Diestro!” he mumbles to himself “You’re a Hidalgo not a gymnast for goodness sake!”
The young Ombrian staggers down the alleyway, clinging to a wall which receives a kick with his good leg.
“Argh! Fraking frak-frak! Stupid wall.” He muttered, but he was really angry at himself. He knew he couldn’t climb, but his pride demanded it when the Braxian bet he couldn’t.
Suddenly a noise caught him out of his own self-loating enough to see two shady figures several meters ahead. He righted himself, trying to hide his injury and gauge the intent of these interlopers.
“’Ey you. Ombrian, give us ya cash.” Spat one of the would-be thieves, his words blunt, but their shining daggers sharp.
“Excuse me?” incensed by such rudeness and lack of honour expressed by this cut-throat. “Do you not know who I am?” He added, before looking to the mute thief of the pair “He must not know who I am.” As if this thief should know, or more to the point, care.
They look at each other oddly, clearly and understandably confused before the first one started to speak: “Huh? I don’ ca-“ before being cut off.
“I am veteran of more wars than you have teeth, I am the juggernaut of Ombria, and I am here to destroy lives and drink ale… and I’m all out of ale.” The rage in his voice turning sinister and foreboding. With the final line he draws his blade, like its master it is slim, but menacing in the dark.
“So come here little mice, take your gold, but it will cost you.”
The mute thief runs, clearly realising it’s not worth risking his life for some cash with the second thief joining him quickly. Which quite frankly is fortunate Diestro thinks, as even without his injury he probably wouldn’t stand a chance against two attackers. Bluff: 1, Brawn: 0.
Your superior asks for a favour you would have problem doing:
“Capture the escaped prisoner sire?” recounts Diestro, unpleased at his latest assignment.
“Yes, yes, can you not do this simple task?” the exasperated captain asks, with a tone of derision.
“Well, yes, of course, but, he was a soldier, I mean, he can fight pretty well from what I’ve heard.” Unsettled by the idea of fighting a very risky battle, not something that really excites Diestro.
“Oh come on, I thought you Ombrians were meant to be tough, or is this too much for you?” retorts the captain, starting to get annoyed.
“Hmm…” ponders Diestro as he hatches a clever idea, and thinks carefully on the wording of his next sentence; “Not a problem sire, the escaped prisoner will be captured.”
The captain looks at him suspiciously given the sudden change of heart, but lets it go.
“Right you two, you’re with me.” Says Diestro to two of the guards on break as he leaves the barracks.
“What? But we’re on break. You can’t tell us what to do!” the first one protests.
Diestro turns on the spot, stares him in the eyes and calmly but sternly says: “Captain Marshall just ordered us to capture the escaped prisoner. Now, I don’t want to do this any more than you, but they are our orders.”
“What? Shouldn’t you be doing that yourself?” The second one pipes up.
“Hey, if you don’t want to do it, feel free to go talk to the captain, but I warn you, he’s not in a good mood.” He adds menacingly before the three of them reluctantly march off. To be fair, while the captain didn’t say to get help, he also didn’t say not to, and if he wanted the job done, this was the best way to do it.

Who is proposing an expedition to the western lands?: The Mighty Mighty Bostones...err Braxians.
Where is the expedition to be launched from?: Plymouth!… err… I mean Rocky Cape!
Questions or comments?: I hope you got a laugh out of some of my answers, I know reading these can get tedious.
Audry, about the ICR questions, we don't just want your character's REACTION, we want to see the scenario as it applies to your character. Who's threatening your character, what is their boss asking which appalls them so much, what kind of request would cause them to leave their job? We left the ICRs vague so that you have the maximum amount of wiggle room to match the situation to your character. And, you're in luck on the activity front, as we're launching from the Stopgap to the main expedition, which means you'll see quite a few people!

This was a very good app, and you got quite a few chuckles out of me. While there were a few small problems, your answer to the second lore question was fairly vague, the rest of it MORE than picked up the slack, and made me overlook the tiny problems. Welcome to the server!

Character Information
Name: Klaus Dannjis
Age: 27
Class: Farmer
Physical description: Brown Wavy Hair, Sea Blue Eyes, Brown Eyebrows, Muscular Build, High Muscle Definition, Beige Pants, Bluish Grey Shirt, Grey/Brown boots, Big Build, 6' 1"
Biography (Minimum 300 words. No clichés such as loved one being killed by robbers or the like.):
Klaus grew up in the countryside, his family was a humble one. He helped out around their farm, and being an only child, his father and him had to manage the fields, tilling and plowing them and planting the seeds when spring came, and then picking the crops when fall came through, doing this with only 2 people was hard work, and try as they might his parents couldn't seem to make another child. Growing up like this, doing the majority of the hard labour in his household alongside his father was hard, but he grew used to it, and it shows in the muscular build he has today. In his spare time when he was young, he would run around with a small wooden sword and swing it around, he has some potential in the art of swordsmanship, but he has never ever held a real one. Due to Klaus being an only child, he had to make friends, and had an easier time doing it, he is friendly and courageous, and would put himself in harms way to help someone else. He is also a hydrophobic, and really doesn't like swimming, he despises every moment he has to wade through or even just be in water, although he will go through with it if he has no other choice.
Klaus is a more humble man then violent, he prefers to solve his problems with words than fists. He is also very protective, and will stand up for his friends and protect them when threatened. He loves adventure, and he likes to explore his surroundings, he knows the area around his house in a 2km radius like its the back of his hand, he knows all the nooks and crannys in the area due to his exploration. One day, Klaus seeks greater adventures then those around his house, and he would love to explore areas new to the world.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): Klaus' main goal is too become an explorer, and explore the uncharted regions of the world.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Klaus is strong both Physically and Mentally, he is strong physically due to the many years of hard work on the farm. He can wield a sword, but not with proper form. He is friendly and can make friends with ease.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Although Klaus's protective personality may seem good, a lot of people don't like others standing up for them as it may make them look weak, so he could lose their friendship, or make a rivalry worse. He also had broken a bone in his left leg when young, and it has a slight growth deformation, so his left leg is a bit weaker than the right.
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation. Your ICRs will be used to see how well you can RP. Please post them as if in IC chat. An example can be found after this form.)
Due a recent accident, you wander the dark quiet streets of the town with a broken ankle trying to make your way home: *Klaus limps around seeking help, and possibly refuge for the night.* Klaus yells: "Help me! Someone, anyone!" *A tall hooded man hears the cry for help and makes his way down the street.* The man says: "Ye' need help boy?" Klaus responds: "Yes, I broke my ankle after falling down a set of stairs, I need somewhere to stay." The man states: "It'll cost ye' a wee' amount of gold." Klaus retorts again: "I can work that out! Just help me please." *The hooded man wraps his arm around his shoulder and hoists him up to take some of his weight and guides him back to his home.*
In a tavern, a stranger threatens you to fight him/her: *A man, clearly in a drunken fit, turns to his right, looking at Klaus.* "You looking for a fight? You ungrateful kid!" *Klaus looks over, clearly confused, and raises his hands, showing he doesn't want one.* "No! Why would I- look, sit down and we can talk what you're angry about over a drink." *The man looks around, and slowly eases back to a normal state* "Alright.. I suppose that'd be alright."
Your superior asks for a favour you would have problem doing: *Klaus looks at the ground, somewhat embarrassed.* "What is it?" "It's just I don't think I have strength to do what you're asking of me right now." *Klaus' Superior looks around, clearly annoyed, and waves his hand in dismissal.*

This was a good app, and I came close to accepting it, but there were just enough problems that I simply couldn't let it slip by. The main problem, at least, is that since the server will be set in the expedition into the new lands, Klaus might need to leave his house to go on the expedition. The rest of your bio was fine, but you need to show how and why Klaus left his house to go and explore.
The only other problem is your final ICR. It was far, FAR too short. You don't just have to react, this is a fairly common misconception. Invent the specifics, characterize the boss, his request, SHOW what's going on that forced Klaus to so awkwardly decline his request!
I'm sure you'll get it next time, you've got plenty of time before launch tomorrow!

Character Information
Name: Taron Jaliier (Yal-i-eh)
Age: 29
Class: Swordsman Craftsmen
Physical description: Taron is, by many descriptions, a stockly built man. He looks like a soldier with his bulky shoulders, nearly wire frame, and toned legs. Yet his ocean blue eyes show a different sign- that of a man tending to his equipment and raising his cattle and crop, with his brown hair being brushed back as though he thought himself a nobleman. He stands, by many accounts, at 5.11, and on occasion is seen writing in a journal of his life, his business transactions, and anything else he does.
Screen capture of your skin:
Due a recent accident, you wander the dark quiet streets of the town with a broken ankle trying to make your way home:
Taron, not having any materials to make a splint, walks along the street and decides to put salt over the wound and rest by the river for the night- eventually slumping into the side of the farmhouse building that would provide shade from the sun should he stay the night.
In a tavern, a stranger threatens you to fight him/her:
“Hey you!

- Mountain Clan Revolution

Who is proposing an expedition to the western lands?:
a Braxian nobleman/explorer named Robert Edwarding
Where is the expedition to be launched from?:
Roland’s Field
Questions or comments?:
Briwolf2:
(totally not giving myself credit)
Deferred:
Harrycraig:

Screen capture of your skin: here
Biography (Minimum 300 words. No clichés such as loved one being killed by robbers or the like.):
Augustine was an orphan when her parents abandoned her at the age of six, leaving her in the woods.

Who is proposing an expedition to the western lands?: Braxia explorer R.Ewarding

Your OOC questions were good, besides one thing;
Strengths/Weaknesses;

Screen capture of your skin: http://s12.postimg.org/ovb98whr1/Diestro.png

Deferred:

Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server?: Yes.
What is the definition of “Powergaming”?: Powergaming is when you perform an action, but do not give someone else to react to the action, a good example of this would be: I opened my car door, and grab you and pull you in.
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?: Metagaming is the use of out of character information that you had heard, to affect your in character decisions.
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?: Roleplay is when you take on the role of a being, animal, or human, and pose as them, using their traits, personality and aspects to influence what you would say or actions you'd perform.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: Nobody.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: If both players agree to it, and under the correct circumstances.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?: On the OOC channel, and with the use of double brackets. (( ))
Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere? Yes! I roleplayed with you guys in TAC, and had a great time doing it, honestly the best role play experience I had ever had on any server, which is why I am here now!

I hope that wanderlust is a good enough reason to leave home!
