The story of our plight-our struggle, our being-began 40 years ago in the lands of Skyrim. The dragons had been unleashed and Alduin, their leader, was readying his plot. But one hope remained. The Dovahkiin, the Dragonborn. A figure of uncertain race, gender, or appearance, and no clear abilities or past aside from his command of the Voice. The Dovahkiin had been preparing, and was now ready, to take on Alduin as the dragon sought to devour the souls of Sovngarde. He was equipped with the mighty shout Dragonrend. We had a chance! The Dovahkiin entered Sovngarde, located Alduin...
Then he failed. He drew too far into the mist, and he too was devoured by Alduin. Our last hope to stop the Alduin Incident failed. Not to long afterwards, Alduin ruled the land and sky of Skyrim, demolishing anything he could get his claws on. Men, mer, and beast sought for survival and escape, both the current generation and all future generations to come. The Imperial Legion, under the orchestration of a man by the name of Duke Derevan, led an Evacuation Operation in which the citizens of Skyrim who survived were taken aboard a Legion vessel called The Durc and transported to the distant island of Solstheim. The mighty ship had destroyed any fleeing ship of Ulfric Stormcloak earlier, earning its honor to play its part in the exodus.
But that was almost 50 years ago. Since then, things have gone both uphill and very, very, downhill. Solstheim was eventually targeted by the Daedra, eyed by a corrupt Imperial Legion, and brutally attacked by the former and relentlessly occupied by the latter. With nowhere to run and divines know nowhere to hide, we were all but vanquished, fighting ultimately in vain to re-secure the island...then we were given a ray of hope.
The Divine Mara instructed us to sail to Atmora, which according to her was made habitable as a safe haven for us so both the Divines could engage the Daedra directly on Solstheim, and so we could have a safe place to reside until the Legion's conquest and pursuit of us died down. Either way, most recent reports claim Soltheim was razed clean of anything living after we, the "Remnant of Solstheim", left the island.
What happened after that has remained shady at best. The Legion lessened their devotion of resources to hunting after our heads, and likewise most of the bounty hunters seeking us gave up their chase. We spent about a year on Atmora, continuing our lives and even meeting new allies as if nothing was wrong. Using the term "nothing" very loosely, of course. Aside from that, though, the past five years, for most of us, seem to have gone by in a flash. During these five years, starting around 4E 246, we left Atmora, being called by Mara instead to travel to a recently-popularized landmass somewhere to the west of Tamriel. What was the name again? Even after these five years I have trouble remembering it...
Ah yes, how on Nirn could I forget? Solterkardi.
~Anonymous Writer, 15th of Morning Star, 4E 251
--------
Solterkardi: Chaos of Transfigured Corruption
Still mysterious since its initial discovery in 4E 241 by a crew of Nordic explorers and Orismer pioneers, the strange land mass dubbed "Solterkardi" by one of the crewmen (who claimed to have felt the name "calling to his soul") lies a couple miles off the Northwestern coast of Tamriel, and seems to have more-or-less appeared out of thin air some time during this era.
Solterkardi's climate is almost unnatural despite its Northwestern geographic location. The majority of the land is composed of temperate plains which are mostly surrounded by high mountain ranges that block general mobility aside from a network of conveniently-placed tunnels. There are other regions scattered among the mountainous land containing more varied landscapes, but are either completely inaccessible or require a timely trek through the tunnels that oddly enough stretch for miles, but feel as if they take a few minutes to wander through. Stranger so, this never seemed to bother the pioneers. Nor did it bother their families. Nor did it bother the first settlers, nor the first town, nor the residents of the first city on Solterkardi: Sol'Civith, established 4E 244. Over the next two years after that, Solterkardi almost instantaneously acquired Tamreilic notability, and trade routes and ferry systems were established on a rapid scale, and a seamless independent government was established without question or opposition.
Among those who came were the Remnant of Solstheim themselves in 4E 246, some of whom claimed they were "sent" there by a Divine. Most people just treat them as any other common rambler, and some claim their stories are merely fictitious tales trying to boast their "prowess", primarily due to their claims of settling Atmora, a land many still assumed was an inhospitable arctic wasteland, and especially the claims of interacting directly with Divines (specifically Mara) and other supernatural beings on both Atmora and Solstheim.
By 4E 250, a year prior to the current date, Solterkardi became a fully-developed independent land mass. Word and rumors spread wildly through Tamriel, describing it as a "splendorous land ripe with culture". Some who have decided to visit the land claim to have been drawn by different circumstances, a common factor being the usage of the words "calling" or "siren" or other such "tug-on-the-soul", but unlike the Remnant of Solstheim's alleged "sending", these people do not attach this to any deity, even those who affiliate strongly with Divines or even Daedra, rather being drawn by some other entity; drawn by the promise of a major land-grab, a secluded paradise away from the chaos of the rest of the world, or another unknown presence enticing them.
However, something is clearly amiss. While the land sounds like a utopia in the rumors, little do people realize until they see for themselves that the land is as corrupt as any Tamrielic province; bandits prowl in camps in the wilds, monstrous creatures stalk in the night, and rumors are circulating of a cult of sorts secretly conspiring somewhere away from the public eye. To top it all off, Lord Gunjar, the current ruler of the land, has reportedly become corrupt, defiling the land with a very bizarre behavior; from "small" things like complete segregation of the elite "rich" and common "poor" in the central city of Sol'Civith and outlawing the practice of all magic, to longer-reaching circumstances like cutting off contact from the Empire and doing nothing about the chaos and distress occurring anywhere outside his own palace.
However, none of this has kept people from coming. In fact, despite this, most of those that come claim to never be leaving, stating the calling/siren is too strong for them to leave now after such-and-such time. The boats still come, and the people still remain (even the discriminated whose lives are a living hell in the land). If anything, the immigration rate has skyrocketed, with people coming in from all walks of life and all corners of Tamriel...and you are among them.
You have come seeking this land to experience what it has to offer you...and to determine what you can "offer" it. Your reasons are you own. Have you come to start a new life with a clean slate in a land set apart from the rest of the world? Have you come to end the corruption and bring order to the frontier? Are you simply among the vast majority who just feel "called" to come? Or are you here with a much more sinister objective? Are you here to seek power to control others through the twisted government? To pillage the cities of all they own? To escalate the corruption and chaos that plagues the land?
There's a world of possibilities, far too many to describe them all. A world of choices in a land of mystery and adventure. Your actions can potentially change the course of all life in this alienated land. The actions of all will either uncover the truth of this land and end the corruption, or condemn it to Oblivion to share a similar fate as Solstheim...

Great server.Great Staff and great role playing elements. Its great to have a server where you have staff that you can trust and help you out with most problems(losing your stuff aside) and its great how they manage punishments and white listing,so good job.The role play on the server is also amazing and how the players role play is also amazing and while minecraft is minecraft and there's not much you can do in the way of real life actions such as simple things like folding your arms or hoping over a counter to not so simple things like tackling someone but the players manage to pull that off anyway and will always have a good story going.
So over all a great server and I hope it will never cease to entertain me.

I love you guys... And this server. One thing I have to say is this is the longest, and most certainly the funnest, server Ive ever played on.I love the people here and the staff. Most of all the RP is the best, and by far the greatest Ive seen in a loooooong time. Hopefully it wont end up crashing for a long time like it has. Hopefully. And even if it does I shall be one to sit and wait untill its back on. Yes. Its this good. Most important thing you guys should know is that, as a 12 year old, who if gotten caught would get her stuff taken away for a month, is posting to her hearts content about this particular server because its just that good! Peace and love for this server -Stasiarose
Yeah were just that good.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And guys since this is a Fresh Page i would love to say a little of a story for players that think of leaving and new players I joined this server during the days of TAW. It was at the time with only three towns and no Winterhold. The staff were far between since some were a** holes and others were awesome. When i joined i was so confused i was ready to rage (lol) , But then i wandered into a new town called Bristol bay and i got to meet the Jarl (Mas0n) and he gave me a chance to start the Story of Derivan. At the time i was a new player to both RP and minecraft but the server was so supportive, especially Labargoth and HOORAH (Both of which are no longer here, one Traitor the other sadly demoted) I was actually temp banned two times for the stupidest things and i can say who. One was Colbinile (He hated me for a while, we made up though) and Darkjames. Then i did my first RP war that killed Derivan, and it had Staff that would do /back non Stop. It was during a time when there was a lot of bad staff and some good RP. Then we lost the map to corrupt files and we Went to Solstheim. I waited so long to go their and was on the Temp server just to talk to people. Colbinile was so nice enough to let me and a few other people see the un-finished Server. It was only for an hour but it was so cool. The excitment of seeing Astora was my favorite. Then we had to wait a while longer until they were done. When it re-opened it was so hellish with RP that people would Rage Quite. It got better with those that really wanted it to work, while others were lost. We also had a lot of Trial Mods that were insulted and beat down by Moderators (Especially Ghost) . During the time i became a whitelister and every morning at 6 I would go on the forum and read 5-10 apps a day. Near the end of that era of Solstheim Colb came online with most staff on and Actually said "The Only Two people actually doing their job are *someone* and Greeno" I was so proud But then we had a month long crash, so many players left and staff that "Loved" this server quit. The feeling i felt was more sad than angry, and i would post for people to Rally behind Lordran and prove they love it. When Insane said for People to PM him since they needed more staff i came to him and asked to be a moderator, and only because i wanted to help new players, and he made me Head Admin. To this day i am still Extremely Proud of this position. Now for Current events We have had a decline in people, some saying that they dont care and it hurts me to see they dont understand how much fun this server is. I have staff that are newer to being it, but over time they have become better and better and it brings me joy to see them so good. I have gotten an Admin i can trust and does his job faithfully. I wish Stas did not lose her spot, she really wanted to prove she cared, and i know she still does. So many people on this server i have met and not one is rude to me or the staff. I truly thank you all for it. There are newer people like Maz who, even though we dont have a huge player base, want to make this server better. But what really saddens me is when old staff come on and beg for their position. After Alt betrayed us and demoed a town with some hack, i have refused it. My two predecesors have re-joined and have not once asked for their old position (And for that i thank you 541 and Solo). And i have seen players insult this server and it gets so difficult. But to the moral of the story, if you stick around to a server that you care for, it will get better. Just last night we had 13 people on and were RPing alot. So i hope people will read this and join and stick around or go to their favorite server and not leave them. But i have noticed i am too nice to those that have broken rules. I have been known to be a D****e to staff that use Creative so they dont get hurt (Cave and Death know this). But overall i am too soft. I ask of you guys to give a man time to get used to this job, for i have had it for around 2-3 months and i am not an expert. I love it when people PM me with issues or ideas on what to do, and i read them faithfully. So keep them up. Just please understand i am not the biggest on Punishment but more on Forgiveness. Thank you for Reading this Sincerely, Kevin Greeno96 [former] Head Admin for [TES: Era of the Vanguard)]

Backstory (1-2 LONG paragraphs): Demenus' life was not a bad one, not bad at all. He was quite a happy boy, even during the worst of times he tried to see the best of things. Demenus was not a theif as many others of his kind were, but assumptions were often made when he would leave for an hour, and come home with a full stomach. Demenus would make these trips daily, when the sun was at its highest, and leave for an hour to an hour and a half. He would come home without a care in the world, as if the whole time he had been napping, but he never told anyone where he went.
After these trips had been going on for about a year, his parents started to inquire very aggressively about them. Every 10 minutes there would be a new question to get it out of him, but it never got out. It never got out that he was getting his meals himself. The young khajiit would leave when mudcrabs were under rocks and mud, and catch fish in a river near his home. These trips were very routine for him, and only one thing had ever gone wrong. As he was fishing, a sabrecat decided it wanted more than his fish. It jumped on top of him and attempted to maul him. Its claws left a large mark across his face, but he had never thought of his life ending and he wasn't going to let the sabrecat end it before he had even thought about himself, even if it meant he was just a head and torso. He started to claw the cat back, the sabrecat refused to lose its will, when Demenus had finally accepted that there was no way to fight it, he layed back and waited for the sabrecat to finish him, until he heard a whistle, and when he opened his eyes, the cat was gone. He saw 2 figures in the distance, both holding bows. He ran towards them, screaming, "Thank you sirs! Thank you!" Before he ran out of breath and passed out, he realized that he had only seen one person, and was seeing double. When he awoke, he was in his bed, his wound bandaged, his mother by his side, his father just outside. That night, he left a letter, "Dear Mother and Father, I realize now that my life is not infinite. My life has been put in jeopardy today, and I have never even thought about such a thing. I have left to contemplate my life, and how quickly it can be ended. I love you both. -Demenus"

-Demenus"

Still not convinced?(Click the spoilers, quotes from real players!)
