Character Information
Name: Lister L’new.
Age: 68.
Race: Human.
Class: Herbalist.
Physical description: Life’s been pretty tough on Lister. For instance, his clothes, which were once constantly clean and tidy, and ragged and covered in dirt. However, the rest of him is still relatively clean. His dark brown eyes tend to look at you hard, and are framed by his receding hair, which is slowly turning from black to grey. His face is weathered and a pale sort of color, and you can see age setting in on him.
Biography (Minimum 400 words. Cannot include loved ones being killed, kidnapped, tortured, or the like, unless you can do it in a non-cliche manner.):
"serif">Lister growing up to be a healer was a surprise to no one. He was from a long line of medics and healers, so from a very young age he was surrounded by books and plants for healing. His mother and father were fairly rich, after all, there was always some fool who managed to hurt himself or someone else. He was groomed to be the perfect doctor, learning of newer techniques from his father, and old-fashioned, reliable herbal medicines from his mother.
"serif">Literacy was of key importance in his childhood, and using advanced medical terms was the norm for him in his youth. He was no genius in ANYTHING else; he actually fell behind a bit because of all the time he had to read about bodies and science. Unfortunately, the books that they had were very old, and would often fall apart, or be illegible.
"serif">Lister’s childhood, otherwise, was very normal. He played, he worked, and he lived. He was only a young man when he first went underground, looking for fungi. Nothing much happened, but it did prepare him for getting used to being underground later in life. For now, however, Lister was the perfect child. Later, in his teen years, he ignored the dumb flings that several of the teens had with each other.
"serif">Solitary was the word that described him for the next few decades. He never fell in love and didn’t believe in that love at first sight balderdash. Besides, he’s “too old to love now” according to him. He’s been making a very comfortable living as a healer, trying to remain mysterious to the townsfolk, and failing miserably. His parents died a few years back, there was a big show about it, a lot of people were really grateful to them. First it was his mother, then his father. He got over their deaths, they DID die of old age, but he was living in total squalor until then. It was a time he doesn’t want to remember.
"serif">What is your character's main goal? (Motivation): He wishes to simply help anyone who needs help. After all, his entire life has been dedicated to healing people.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): He has a VERY strong personality, and will do tons of things to get his way. After all, he has to be tough to keep reckless patients in bed. While he isn’t very useful in combat, he knows how to heal people afterwards, so is useful to have around.
Weaknesses (Both physical and personality): He had sworn to heal, not hurt, so he can’t defend himself well, also because of his age. He tries to stay hardened, but he can get too easily attached to people.
Will your character likely join an existing faction? If so, which? If not, why not?: No, as he is against violence, and prefers his own company.
Does your character have any connections to currently-existing characters or characters yet to be accepted? If so, which? (See "Character Linking Aid". Please post a link to the topic.): Nope.
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation.)
Walking down the streets of the Undercity, you encounter a pair of heavily armed and armoured men harassing a young girl.
"serif">Lister’s eyes widened as he saw the men harassing the girl. Quietly, he turned around, and did what any rational person would do. He ran to the nearest guard, and quietly but quickly explained, “Sir, PLEASE, come with me! There are some men harassing a young girl down an alleyway over there!” The guard didn’t believe him at first, but after persisting, he humored the old man and followed him, if only to get him off his back. Lister turned the corner to the alleyway at a run, and saw they were still there! He shouted, “Hey!” One of the men turned, feeling a twinge of worry. Then he saw the old guy, and laughed. Then, the guard and one of his companions stepped into the alleyway. The man’s laugh turned to a frown. “Uh…”
You've been lost in the tunnels for nearly a week without food, and come across a small independent settlement.
"serif">Lister staggered into town, ignored by the residents. To them, he was just another old beggar here for food. He moved to the market, a busy place. The crowd jostled him around, but he made it to a stall with food. He looked at the owner with calm, but hungry eyes. “I like as much food as you can give me.” He reached into his pouch, each movement painful. The merchant, unused to a big request, just waited for the coins. He examined them when they came out, and they seemed to be genuine. Suspiciously, he handed the food to Lister, who took it greedily. Lister walked away, devouring everything in his hands.
You pass an old man lying on the side of the street, begging for food.
"serif">Lister’s eyes widened when he saw the man. “Oh dear…” He muttered, and bent down on his knee. The beggars eyes widened. “D-do you have food for me?” Lister saw he was caked in mud and other filthy things, and extended his hand. “Sir, come with me. You can hardly be out here and starving. I shall take you someplace warm.” The beggar took his hand, and struggled up. “But do you have FOOD?” Lister sighed.
In a tavern, a slightly inebriated fellow insults your mother.
"serif">Lister, who didn’t like alcohol or even drunk people of any kind, grunted at the fellow. He put his hands in his pockets, and tried to walk out. The man persisted however, and stumbled a bit after Lister. He made another wisecrack, which Lister ignored again. Finally, the man realized he was too far away from alcohol of any kind, so he went back to the bar, laughing all the way.
You take a liking to a beautiful necklace a passing woman wears.
"serif">Lister looks at the necklaces, and his head trails after the woman. Then he shook his head. This was why people couldn’t have nice things. While he WAS interested in the necklace the woman had, it wasn’t like she was going to give it to him, and he most DEFINITELY couldn’t afford it. He sighed, and continued on with his business. Well, maybe one day, if he saw it again.
Do you have any questions about the server or our lore? No.
Other notes: Well, that's about it! I noticed a lot of people chose the class of Herbalist, so I would be more than happy to make another character.

We were quite pleased with your app, your backstory was not overdone, and your character seems original. Also, it is good to have more healers! Haha I was worried we might have too many artificers XD anyhoo, thank you for the awesome app and I hope to see you on the server!
Deffered Your application lacked certain important qualities. You are invited to repost your application with any neccessary revisions, explained here.

Rejected Your application, upon several resubmissions, failed to meet expectations- or you broke the rules in some way (explained here). You cannot reapply. We wish you luck in finding a new server.
Above ground building is going fairly well. I hope you guys are pumped for release later this month. We've been working and partying pretty hard for the server and it's going to be a blast to RP with you all.
Do you have a Skype? If so, what is your Skype Name? (This is by no means required and holds no weight on your acceptance. We just use Skype a lot): Yeah I finally got around to making one for this. Cookiesown1523
Have you read all of the rules, agree to abide by them, and by the decisions of our staff?: Yeah. I just read them as if I was narrating a video. While using several different voices and taking Happy-Wheels breaks.
What is the definition of "Powergaming"?: Making your character almighty powerful in any aspect without consent of others. In example: ‘Steve thrusts his short blade at Herobrine.’ ‘Herobrine steps out of the way, and continues to frontflip over steve and elbows his kidney. Which shut down and fail, making steve’s feet explode twice.’
What is the definition of "Metagaming"?: Using knowledge you may know out of character while playing your character.
What is the definition of "Roleplay"?: Assuming the role of a fictional character in a fictional world.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: Nobody.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: When you are given permission by the player, or to my understanding, when given a powergame move from an Undergod. However, Im not sure if those are allowed to kill.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?: Any time, as long as there are parenthesis around it. However I prefer to keep it to a minimum.
Have you read the primary server lore of our server and agree to roleplay in accordance with it?: Yeah. If I recall, I used the ‘Serbian crowd-speaker’ voice on all of them.
Who is allowed to use magic?: Humans may start with magic, but their application must be wonderful.
How did the Humans come to be in the Caves?: They flee from an apocalypse while taking refuge at. Roland’s Basin
What are the Shrines?: Shrines where Undergods hoard supplies.
What previous roleplay experience have you had, if any?: Well I played loads of Silver age, and then a bit of BoH.
If you have played on other RP servers, please say which and why you left: Silver Age became BoH, which suffered an error causing it to close down.
Character Information
Name: Thonnir Slyfoot
Age: 26
Race: Human
Class: Thief
Physical description: Some could consider Thonnir small, while others consider him stocky. He is 5’9, slim and fit, and he wears his hair shaggy, although mostly under a hood, and a full black beard. He dons green eyes, and makes an attempt to wear darker clothing that he can move swiftly in. He stores his items in a small knapsack on his back.
Screen capture of your skin: http://www.planetmin...-thief-1164378/
Something like that. Im actually going to edit that to have you know, A black beard and a three dimensional hood when I get onto the computer I’ll be playing on.
Biography (Minimum 400 words. Cannot include loved ones being killed, kidnapped, tortured, or the like, unless you can do it in a non-cliche manner.):
Thonnir was too young to remember anything when his parents put him in the orphanage and took off. They didn’t tell anyone where they were going or why. But the orphanage was good to him as he grew up. Atleast the adults were. Other children, not so much. Perhaps it was the fact that he was a suck-up to the matron and other workers that the children gave him such a hard time. As he got older, it got worse. Often they would beat him up, and make fun of him for several hours. He was a simple playtoy to them. He ran when he could, which was a lot of the free time the orphans had. He grew quick and agile. When he was old enough to go out of the orphanage on his own, about 15, he explored the large city he lived in in the forests of pine. He would get onto rooftops and practice jumping around, ledge to ledge, roof to roof. He also met many people of all kinds. Vagrants, drunks, warriors and merchants. And Refugees. Refugees of Khazi’Un, who told tales of bandits, and pirates and brigands. One particular man, Vhazra’Dun, enthralled the young boy with all of his stories of pilfery, heists, and other thievery.
The orphanage was becoming unbearable. A day hadnt gone by when Thonnir hadn’t found a new bruise, or welt on him. This set him thinking. Why did his parents leave him to thes? Would he ever find them? Why had they done this to him? He didn’t care enough to go on a righteous quest to find them. He just thought those questions should be justified. He and Vhazra had begun to stay around eachother quite a bit more. Some nights he even stayed with Vhazra. It wasn’t until he was twenty-one that he officially decided to live with the man. That may be because he was able to do so. But that didn’t matter. What else did he have? It was one night when Vhazra told the boy that he was still in the thieving business, and he got personal contracts from people he personally sold out to in secrecy .He would deal out of dead drops- nobody ever knew who he was. Over the next few years, he would take him on Jobs, and they together would terrorize the city with their cut-pursing and burgurlary. Then came the big job. Thonnir was 25 at the time. Apparently one of the men Thonnir had grown up with had made it big. A huge merchant who, was much more charismatic toward the children and the orphanage owners. And it was their job to put him out of business. He lived in a large, well guarded house. The contract asked for Vhazra and Thonnir to frame the man for a crime. Which they accepted. They went into town and stole from several different stalls. Food, Gems, Arms, and armor they took. A noticable amount, too. They made their way to the mansion, and begun to dig up a hole on the side of the house. They threw their pilfered goods in the hole, and then covered it up. Loud, clanking footsteps were heard as thonnir was walking away. They stopped for a split second, and then a grunt and thud was heard. Thonnir rushed back to Vhazra to see him under a guard, who was spewing not only commands, but spit in his face. Thonnir ran.
Vhazra was a changed man. In Jail, there were only three men in his cell. He, A religious man who Vhazra claimed would always speak of the apocalyplse, and another large stocky man. Over the next year, Vhazra told Thonnir the things the religious man would speak of. It spooked him. Even Vhazra was beginning to believe it. When the third man mysteriously died, the Religious man supposedly flipped. He drove Vhazra to madness, and whenever Thonnir would visit, Vhazra would scream at Thonnir to leave the city and go south to Roland’s Basin. Terrified and confused, Thonnir believed his once-human mentor, and left.
(680)
What is your character's main goal? (Motivation): Thonnir wishes to establish an organization dedicated to feeding the poor and giving people a second chance. Be that legally or not.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Thonnir is quick. He had much experience hiding and running from the many bullies in the orphanage. But with hiding, comes shyness. He doesn’t like to be around people he isn’t comfortable with.
Weaknesses (Both physical and personality): With hiding, comes shyness. He doesn’t like to be around people he isn’t comfortable with.
Will your character likely join an existing faction? If so, which? If not, why not?: Perhaps if there are some I become interested in.
Does your character have any connections to currently-existing characters or characters yet to be accepted? If so, which? (See "Character Linking Aid". Please post a link to the topic.): No.
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation.)
Walking down the streets of the Undercity, you encounter a pair of heavily armed and armoured men harassing a young girl. Listen in on what the men are saying. Perhaps there is a justifiable reason to why they are harrassing her. Maybe she owes them money, or maybe they’re just a bit cheeky. When I find out it is not justifiable, I make haste to find another person who is more able to combat the situation.
You've been lost in the tunnels for nearly a week without food, and come across a small independent settlement. I creep up to the settlement and observe. There are a group of people listening to a preacher. I make my way around the settlement’s homes, and scavenge what food I can hoard and move away from the settlement.
You pass an old man lying on the side of the street, begging for food. Sit and chat with the man for a while. After discovering he is honorable and did not drink himself into this abyss, I provide him with the several extra rations I managed to pilfer from the settlement in the tunnels. Talk with the man and let him know where the food came from, and notify the man that the food was stolen and he should be wary of that.
In a tavern, a slightly inebriated fellow insults your mother. Thonnir never knew his mother. But he would take the man’s mug and knock him over the head with it for being a fool. This sets thonnir onto thinking about his orphanage and his non-existant and his old life. He decides to take a drink, which sets him slightly inebriated. He probable insults someone’s mother at some point.
You take a liking to a beautiful necklace a passing woman wears. Keep to the side alleys and keep focused on the woman, easily avoiding her attention. When she gets to her home, I look sort through her windows and find an openable one. I stake out the house and wait until the woman sleeps. When she is halfway through her first R.E.M, I slip through and find the necklace at her stationary.
Do you have any questions about the server or our lore? Nopes.
Other notes: Cant wait to RP with everyone again!
Also a note. I forgot to put this in the story, but Thonnir uses Slyfoot, a nickname given to him by Vhazra, as his last name instead of his previous one from his old family. He does not wish to be labeled under a broken family.

Hey there. I'm not an official whitelister or anything, so please don't mind me if this is against the rules for me to say anything. Just for clarification, your powergaming definition was decent, but it had two different sets of powergaming in it. One, was the first part where 'Steve' stabbed 'Herobrine', (He didn't deserve that, shame on Steve.) and the other would be where Herobrine did some kind internal body explosion attacks. I just wanted to make sure you knew that both of those attacks were powergaming. And the second thing I saw (I only checked the first section above the back story, sorry.) was that no, I don't believe the Powergaming attacks allowed by an Undergod are allowed to kill. You'd still need the other characters consent to do so. Anyway, I hope to see you around the server!

Actually, I'm pretty sure Undergods CAN give powergamed attacks, however, this apprently happens only VERY rarely. And if it really seems reasonable and logical. And probably if it would make a REALLY cool, epic RP death scene. Oh, and you need the Undergods favor I think.
And no, it isn't against the rules to "unofficially" tell the people whats wrong. I actually think it helps, since the person could change the bad part and get accepted.

While you sorta made the same mistake as I did with the magic users (While you were right, the magic fades as the character enters the Undercity, unless they are an Undergod or a sage to an Undergod), I'll let that slide as I really liked the rest of your app. As far as I know, we don't really have any "noble" thief characters, just the...You know...Regular kind. I also liked how your character found other ways to deal with the ICR problems while staying in character; I.E. Not rushing the two heavily armed thugs harrassing the poor, poor girl (Will she ever catch a break? I think not.). Your definition of power-gaming made me chuckle and you refrained from making your character too overpowered as a thief (I.E. No one can detect him when he is hiding behind a lamp). Welcome to the server.

It's fine. It was pretty funny to read how Herobrine utterly destroyed Steve, anyway.
Oh wait, you were talking about Rolands Basin..
*derp*

This 'tis my first time whitelisting, so any mistakes I made can be blamed on me, which will then be blamed on Sir_Chompy. Nah, I kid.
