Though it grieves me to say it, spartanHalo, there are a few reasons I can't accept your whitelist application. First, you didn't read the rules, which makes any good admin very sad. Secondly, your backstory has no discernible storyline to it, which complicates things. Lastly, you don't fit our age group. Sorry to kick you out, but perhaps you can try again later. Thanks for showing interest in my server!

Roleplay Name:Thayl Wirth
Age (In Real Life):15
Age (Ingame):24
Reason to play:Need a new, but small based community that is more rp based
Character Story:
Thayl Wirth began his life in a trade port. His birth parents being a small couple working for a fishing company. Thayl's parents were not as close to him with only meeting them on meal times and the occasional late night. His parents constantly worked to pay off the new expenses of a child and still have enough for themselves. So Thayl was a bit of shut-in, he rarely went outside, but was constantly battered with the loud sounds of sailors, merchants, and guards. Thayl lived on with these same conditions until he came of the age of 13.
Thayl, now a 13-year old, was now allowed to venture out beyond the hovel of his home. Thayl was at first baffled at these new sites. He had heard of most of the commotion but up close it was different. Everyone bustled about, either keeping to themselves or trying to attract attention. Thayl tried to manuver through the crowd to look at merchants' wares, but was quickly taken by the flow of people. Thayl was very confused to see himself end up at the shipyard. While he didn't know where he was, he looked around to be puzzled at all the large frames and partial ships. He began to attract attention, being a poor, suspicious, teen tends to have that effect. A man asked him 'What are you doing here?', Thayl only replied with the simple shrug indicating 'He had no idea either'. While many other weren't trustworthy, the man who had questioned him only shrugged also, asking 'Do you know where your headed?'. Thayl thought for a moment, answering 'Trade'. Again the group seemed baffled, while the inquisitor questioned more 'Do you even have coin?'. Thayl looked at the man and asked 'What's coin?'. While the group argued over 'Is this boy dumb?', the man just offered a preposition. 'Work for me and you get coin to trade'. The man put up a hand in which Thayl looked at. Thayl thought, 'I need coin to trade, so I can get coin from from him if I do work'. Thayl copied the man's gesture only to be surprised by the hold of his hand, then shaken violently. So had come Thayl's first job.
Thayl continued to work with the shipyard men, and earned decent coin. He had attempted to trade only to be stolen from, conned, or extorted. While many sympathies came from many, no one offered to teach him how to handle his coin. Although he was one of the easiest targets on the port, his work ethic was not affected. He remained to be vigilant in doing whatever was required while only being physical chores. Some of his co-workers had tried to teach him some skills to help in his endeavors but only managed to help him speak better and know his name. Around this time, his parents decided to kick him out of their house, telling him 'You're old enough to provide for yourself'. He was not happy nor sad, but only puzzled at where to live now. The shipyard provided a small barracks for some workers, so he continued to live there.
A few years later, a ship came into port seeking repairs. Thayl was assigned to work on the ship. He had heard that most of the damage comes from passage to Montvonde. Not knowing of such a place, Thayl asked around. He had learned that the place was well a new land, ripe for civilization and development. Many go to seek either their own fortune or escape. While not paying much heed to the rumors, he continued to work the ship. When the ship was repaired, the ship's captain asked for one of the shipyard's men to come, to help with repairs if needed. The payment for the job was a bit extravagant but the damage done to the ship was disheartening. While most of the men thought of the dangers, Thayl thought of more coin. Thayl volunteered for the voyage. Most of the workers were amazed while some only worried for Thayl. So in a few weeks, Thayl was off with the ship.
During the voyage, the ship encountered many hostilities. Pirates and storms, food shortage and scurvy, all of this lead to the eventual mutiny. But Thayl was very little discouraged by all the calamities, and only kept focus on the job. When the mutiny started, Thayl was sleeping among the ship's cargo. The fighting was short due to most of the crew being helpers and not fighters. The captain gave the control over to his former crew. And so the former crew changed course. But with all the noise and smoke produced from the fighting, it attracted a pirates to the ship. When the crew knew of this, they wanted to go faster. So to reduce the weight of the ship, they started throwing over their cargo in hopes of both leading the pirates away and to run away faster. Unfortunately, Thayl was also thrown off ship. So the accidental cast-away now brought to the shores of Montvonde, And Thayl's 'To Montvonde, I come' adventure.
This looks like a great server, but before I decide to apply, I have some questions.
First, could someone please explain the "Lore friendly" part of the rules to me? I get the idea, mostly, and I've read the lore several times now. However I'd like to know what exactly this entails. (To be honest, I may just be over thinking things, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.)
Also, is there a restriction on character species (within reason)? I have a character that is thought out, and has some backstory already, but is a reptilian species.

Dracknorin, I apologize it took me so long to reply. This link is not managed very often, which you can surely tell. On the topic of lore-friendly names, I basically can't have any factions like McDonalds or players named things like HappyCat123. All the names should fit in a fantasy novel, to put it simply.
There is a very light restriction to species. If it's humanoid, it works. If your player happens to be reptilian, just get a reptilian skin. That'll work.
(Don't worry about taking ages to reply. I can wait.)

Roleplay Name: Aura Arrowscale (I'm bad at names .-.)
Age (In Real Life): 18
Age (Ingame): 26
Reason to play: I've been looking for a role play server that doesn't have copious amounts of restrictions as far as characters go. As a D&D player, such restrictions can be maddening. To Montvonde I come.
Character Story: Aura's people come from the depths of the tropical rainforests, where they lived in peaceful tribes. They were wary when the first humans wandered into their jungle home, watching from their canopy villages with arrow at the ready. But it was not the humans that they were to fear, but the plague of night creatures that followed. The tribes were not prepared when the dead stood up, nor could they fight against them with only ranged weapons and spears. The tribes were decimated, those remaining fled into the surrounding jungle, desperate to escape the very darkness which was once their only defence.
Aura was one of the youngest to escape. She made it out of the jungle, followed the retreating humans to a safer place. To save her own life, Aura chose to stay among the humans. She soon learned of other races that had banded together to fight off the darkness.
Having learned to use and forge swords, as well as the bows which were her people's favored weapons, Aura is now well equipped to fend off the beasts that darkness brings. She wanders from place to place, working where she can. Sometimes she stays in one village for harvest season, working as a farmhand. Other times, she aids one group or the other as a mercenary. Of all the night-beasts that she has encountered, Aura retains great respect for, as she calls them, "the Children of the End" whom her arrows cannot touch. To her, ender pearls are more precious than diamonds.
To Aura Arrowscale, Montvonde is just another island. But there are many who seek haven at its shores, and that is opportunity. She owes no allegiance, and does not plan to give that up.
