#1 we've finished even more, stats are mostly done. We're now tackling 'resources' which will be Stamina and Mana (Melee and rangers will use Stamina, Mages will use mana), then tying that into the abilities we're working on! I'll post a screenshot of me destroying our programmer in pvp when we got some abilities properly finished off ;D
#2 we're starting a 'WOH' Terraria server with a few mods on it that add a bunch of content, and atm, have 12 or so of us in a group vs group vs group 'conflict' coming up. if you guys want to play, hurry up and tell me in pm! We're about 2 days off from starting this with a fresh world, fresh characters, etc.

Denied, you did not follow the instructions to apply for staff.
All apps listed here are handled in private, as such, you apply with them via pm. A public application will be rejected. Application Pm's are sent to Sabbykat, who will handle them herself, or by someone qualified to handle a particular app.
I'd argue far to the opposite. In fact, we're quite busy working away on a few very major systems for the mod which is why the classes/combat changes aren't finished! Specifically, we've been polishing off anti-cheating, which atm, has negated all speed/damage/ability hacks, including the ability for 'injector' hacks to function. As well, x-raying is now impossible from a mod/texturepack POV, WITHOUT annoying fake ores!
As well, we've been working on 'anti lag' tech. Which means GENERALLY SPEAKING, you shouldn't see 'stuttering' if your latency is terrible, and the game should compensate a lot of your game play (movement, attacks, etc) around your averaged out lag, meaning people with crap connections/long distances, should have MUCH less trouble playing on servers.
Now, the bigger question of this post...
Would you guys prefer we release the game 'in pieces' or as a whole?
What do I mean? Quite simple. If we release it in pieces - When 3 classes are 'finished and polished', the combat changes are done, and all the mobs of minecraft are... 'improved' to meet a challenge needed for the classes... would you like us to start a minecraft server with ONLY the new combat/class systems? Then, add more system as we finish/polish them?
Or would you prefer we wait until all of the new content is done? (Gonna be a while...)

Atm, I'm leaning towards releasing it in 'stages' myself. It feels best, to help us slowly build up anticipation and let the players watch as the game evolves and grows into its final state. As well, it lets us have many more testers to help find quirks/issues that may have been missed, and fixed.
'But, it will just be a toss away world - won't it?!' *tiny smile* Not quite. I had plans for this all along. But the 'world' we would play on will be... *strokes beard* important. Call it the prequel to the main story, how you, the players, in lore got to this world without losing who you were. Yes, that sounds confusing - meant to be. But needless to say, the 'world' we would be using, would be playing out a part of story for the game you won't realize until it's too late. >=)...
So yes! give me some input, you lot! Fairly certain I know what people will agree upon, but I always like to get views from others.
I have no ETA for when this will happen, if we do it. Depends entirely on how things go... but I'll keep you all up to date as I get news to report!

I havent played minecraft since this server went offline. It was the only server I ever really liked. And I just want to mention that I do visit here from time to time to see how its going. Sorry I cant afford to donate to your cause but I do want you to know I am still hoping for War of Hante to return.

We COULD return at anytime I wished it. But I want our return, to be the beginnings of the new game - not just 'minecraft server #1223421'. On that front, we're almost workign on internal testing with two classes, and smashed out the skill system backend (which was a lot of the work lately, but makes adding actual skills simple as some numbers and calls, assuming it doesn't apply a special effect).
I won't give ETA's, but sooner rather than later, we'll be back...
It is. Unless you guys know some skilled programmers - we can't speed up the process. Without something to show (phase 1 material) - other programmers won't give us the light of day, hence, it's a 1 person job atm and why we're not trucking along. As well, we're doing it right, rather than fast, so that further delays it in the short term, but will pay off long term.
Every time I come here to check if the servers up and running so I can play it's just been shut down :*(
Anyway I got a few weeks off before I ger back to my normal software engineering so if you need any help whether it be server management, building, plugin config, or donations to get it back up drop me a PM Sabby. I hope to one day get back into the world of Hante.
We're not down due to admins, money (though that would be an issue if I wanted to bring it up RIGHT NOW!). We're working on the actual mod itself, and I don't want to bring up a old, typical world - I want the next time people play, to have classes, new combat, etc all done up (a good bit of which is done!). Unless you can send us programmers - it won't get back any faster.

To be clear, I've been trucking away on this. Professions, Combat, Traps, sieges, classes, you name it - I've been working on it in design. Just finished our new biome list - at 72 unique biomes, discounting some 'exotic' biomes which would push us near 90 biomes. That doesn't count simple sub-types, such as different color sand in deserts (we don't classify red-sand deserts as a unique biome - it's a sand desert, period).
Yes. 72+ biomes. I kid you not. I'm a busy bee! Just waiting to get out of phase 1, get a team going, and then we can finally start hauling ass on this whole damn thing! >.>!
Only way to speed up this matter, is...
#1 find us talented individuals who would like to join the project now.
#2 donate enough to pay for our programmer to live without a job and focus entirely on this.
Both are very unlikely, and thus, we're stuck for now! Still working away, but when you work 40+ hours a week kind of detracts the productivity of what we could be doing, ya know?

We're planning maybe sorta, possibly, to bring a minecraft server back up. Would you be interested? The world will be saved (once we stabilize it and the damn issues >.> I got my old ore ratings and such so I won't be spending weeks perfecting it again), and the world might (if no major issues) be used for the mod and it's testing phases, so it would be beneficial.
Before the mod, we'll again be using various mods and custom terrain and matters, which I haven't decided what we will do yet for them - I need to ponder on it and see what has changed in the mod scene (probably nothing... ugh.)
IF we do this, the server will be made a lot less hand-held, aka, we'll be arguably leaning more Anarchy server in style (not entirely), with a more defined purpose, with town creation being decided by admins and not players (expansion and such of towns will be controlled by them), so we can funnel players to work together objectively. yes, many players will use and abuse you, and backstab you - but on such a brutal world where you'll lose all your friends if you do so, you'll need to be careful in how you act socially lest you want to be hunted into the ends of the wilderness, and everything you own, obliterated...
By Anarchy, to clarify, I mean prior we 'hand held' when PVP could happen. This is gone. If you see a player, your actions are your own to decide. If you die from a bug that we didn't cause - that's your problem. We WILL have rules, and WILL NOT allow Hacks/exploits, and will violently punish offenders of these types. But rules will be setup to be very lax and uncontrolled to let players, police themselves so to say within reason. If someones a douche, you'll know to kill him on sight for example without mercy. You'll need to fear for your well being, you'll need to actually play hard to survive and get a foot hold in this world, and if you're a good, friendly player - you'll fnd allies who will protect you and work with you, which will inevitably lead to violent wars against your opposing towns, and attempts to OBLITERATE them all, and rule this world...
I'm being vague as I haven't hammered out anything yet. One thing that is clear, I will be having staff members taking care of various avenues, contacting admins will be done by pre-set channels and no longer will I respond in chat and spend my time catering to players. I will in fact, be playing as a player the majority of my time unless experimenting with a new plugin, or fixing a severe issue that requires me to be an admin. Other wise, the server will be setup so staff have extremely limited power, only enough to remedy problems that arise for their section - nothing more.
If you guys want to play, tell me. if we get 20+ of the old members responding here, and will play, I'll even ponder about keeping the server closed off to old members and their friends only, and not dealing with the hassle of white list so we can form a proper, tight knit community in the game as it should be... so I can come and shatter it

We've seen some MAJOR changes to multiplayer in mods since I left, we can now add a lot of really good single player mods, to multiplayer!
Like Mo' creatures which adds what? 30+ new animals, and like 15+ new mobs, discounting variable types, including horses you can mount and ride?
I'm having a mod-gasm here, and trying to plan out what we should add, shouldn't add, etc etc, so I can give a coincice list... but holy damn. I'm gonna have some FUN here. >=) And no, not 'aww, a cute harmless kitty' but 'OH GOD, THE KITTY IS EATING MY FACE, AHHH!!' fun. I wonder if there's a mod that revamps combat...? hm...
