Hello all! Dickenson_Mcgee here, this introduction is to get you on track here on Fallout: The Lone Star State. As from the name, this server takes place in the wastelands of Texas. While the Fallout Series touched up on the state with their game Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, we decided that lore was too restrictive for a player to fully enjoy. So, in turn we decided to create our own lore regarding the Lone Star State. Follow us on a story taking place in 2250 amidst a war between the Midwestern Chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave Patriots, where civilization is beginning to organize once again, and where the desert contains secrets buried in the sands. We hope you’ll enjoy your stay here in the Lone Star State, where war...war never changes...

Lore:
(Lore is still subject to change)
2075: Construction of the Vault-Tec Secret Vault is now complete outside the small port of Los Ybanez. Vault-Tec, knowing that many other vaults are doomed, have created this off-the-books vault to house their top officials and scientists for when the bombs fall.
2077: January: Gas prices sky rocket with the regular gas price being $7450.99 per gallon and $8500.99 per gallon for premium.
March: Prepared for a nuclear or biological attack from China, the President and the Enclave retreat to the Poseidon oil rig and make contingency plans for continuing the war. A small division of the Enclave is dispatched to Texas to ride out the storm on an abandoned Poseidon Energy Oil Rig in the Gulf of Mexico. The leader of the contingent there is the Speaker of the House Roger Davidson, followed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. They wait for the orders of the President, who is on the Oil Rig in California.
October 23: The Great War had begun and ended in a two-hour global nuclear exchange. Citizens are caught horribly off-guard after too many drills created a “cried-wolf” mentality. All vaults are sealed. Devastation is far worse than ever anticipated. The North American continent’s fault lines are rearranged; mountains shoot up through the ground, whole areas submerged in water, and violent earthquakes decimating urban centers.
One nuke directly hits Austin, Texas. Austin is demolished in seconds. Remaining survivors are disfigured into ghouls, however, the extreme radioactive exposure from the bomb turns these new ghouls feral.
To make matters worse, an old warehouse filled with surplus sentry bots is damaged. The surplus sentry bots activate with corrupted programming chips due to radiation. All individuals are viewed as communists under the damaged programming. Sentry bots run towards the “hostile force” and detonate their remaining ammunition. Many fall prey to the false security of a pre-war sentry bot and are immediately mutilated.
November 16: Radio contact is disrupted permanently. Survivors have no idea of the destruction in different parts of Texas. Many assume that other cities have been completely destroyed and that they are the few who live on.
2078: An unanticipated event occurs in which the mainland radio station the Texas Enclave is using to connect with other channels is destroyed when an office building collapses on it. The Enclave is unaware of the event.
2079: January 1: Texas Enclave still receives no orders from the President. Fear starts to envelop the rig after efforts to contact the mainland are unsuccessful. All of the Joint Chiefs, except for the General of the Army Henry Hallow, commit suicide out of guilt of destroying the country they loved dear. The Speaker of the House decides to enact the chain of succession in thought that he was the next in line for the presidency. General Hallow then becomes Vice-President. Effective immediately, the Enclave are to begin preparing for a movement to the mainland.
2080: The first effects of radiation are seen in the survivors. Widespread mutations occur with animals and humans alike. Those that survive the effects of the mutations are permanently changed. New species are created almost overnight. In Texas specifically, the brown recluse spider have grown larger and is extremely aggressive.
2082: Five years after the Great War, some aspects of the world begin to calm down. Radiation and poison levels are still too high for a normal human to survive. Survivors outside of the vaults are desperately trying to survive in the wake of starvation and contaminated water.
2085: The ruins of Abilene, Texas becomes the small town of Lone Star. Surviving citizens soon begin rebuilding the lost city into a small settlement. Reports of civilization reforming brings in refugees from surrounding towns.
2088: Refugee farmers revive the town of Carbon from the ruins of its former self. Rubble is cleared from empty fields in order to attempt growing crops in the barren soil. As farmers find this land to be suitable for farming, they then began to corral brahmin. Now that they had a steady source of food, they began to renovate the buildings in the town to make them hospitable.
After 11 yrs. of waiting, Vault-Tec decides to investigate the surface by sending eyebots out into the wastes. They discover that the United States as a whole is in shambles. After a unanimous vote, the denizens of the Secret Vault decide to not go outside and re-colonize. Vault-Tec decides to bide its time away from society.
2090: As people begin to communicate more, many rumors about the city of Austin arise. They say that in that city are numerous pre-war technologies. Many decide to go and scavenge the city only to find a brutal death. The city is infested with rampant feral ghouls and mutated creatures. Wastelanders start avoiding Austin altogether and becomes referred to as the City of the Dead.
2092: A group of 5 people, led by Jeremiah Takoma, get together at Lone Star and decide to start a trading company so they could have a stable source of income and in hopes of reigniting capitalism. They called it Lone Star Trading Co. They begin by going from town to town to establish a trading line.
2100: February 9: The Texas Enclave, using Vertibirds, send scouts to the damaged port town of Los Ybanez. Initial reportings from the scouts displayed moderate levels of radiation in the water and food, something that was to be expected. However, scouts are surprised to find animals and people living a distance away. Scouts immediately report that the mainland is alive.
February 20-26: Edward Lance, the 8th elected President of the Texas Enclave, authorizes colonization of the mainland by Enclave Soldiers. Wastelanders in Los Ybanez retaliate to the unknown force, resulting in the Enclave Soldiers to eliminate the “squatters”
2101: Lone Star Trading has grown to be the most successful merchant company in Texas. Through wise financial contracts and special deals, Lone Star crushed or integrated opposition in their territory.Vault-Tec discovers Enclave presence in Los Ybanez. The older employees of Vault-Tec fear the Enclave will discover the vault. The Department Head assures the denizens that if they stay quiet, they won’t be discovered. However, The Department Head also orders that the research department start developing weapons technology and armor capabilities.
The Enclave discover a prototype vault in Los Ybanez that had never been opened before. The Prototype Vault is then transformed into a terrestrial base of operations. The Texas Enclave begin expanding in Los Ybanez and soon establish the town as their own.
2113: May: After years of transporting supplies, re-building structures, and re-populating the town, the Enclave are ready to set out to reclaim the United States in the name of democracy.
June: Enclave technicians discover the site of the destroyed radio antenna. They find that the last transmission date was in 2078. This confirms to the Enclave that the rest of the United States is still intact and that there may be more of their forces somewhere else. The President is wary of this knowledge and executes the technicians as traitors. The data is wiped and new technicians are assigned to restore the antenna.
2120: Settlements begin reporting strange soldiers clad in black armor. However, these rumors are dismissed. Wastelanders continue on with the daily challenges of survival.
Enclave debates about recruiting wastelanders.
Radio antenna is back online. The Enclave search the airwaves for its own forces, but cannot reach long distances. However, a radio broadcast is sent to all who may listen stating that the United States Government has returned. Many ignore the broadcast as a prank.
2128: May 21: After many bloody years of constant territorial warfare between the Viper Gang and the Jackal Gang, a pact was formed between the two rivals. The Vipers and The Jackals would integrate with each other in order to control more power.
May 23: The Jackals leader, Chompsky, murders the Viper leader in cold blood and devours his heart. Chompsky then declares himself the leader of the conjoined gang. The raiders follow blindly to Chompsky’s command.
2130: The gang under Chompsky’s command arrives at an old naval base. The base was called Corpus Christi. Chompsky felt that his new band of men need a new name. He took inspiration off of the name of the facility and changed the group’s name to the Corpus Gang. They begin terrorizing and pillaging areas nearby. The group grows extremely ferocious and unpredictable.
2132: In response of the growing threat of The Corpus Gang, Carbon makes a militia known as the Lawmen to hold off any attacks on their town.
2135: The Lawmen grow to be more than just a militia, and becomes a group of kind hearted samaritans that wander the wasteland to kill any that do evil acts. The Lawmen become well known and many raiders are careful to approach one.
2140: The Corpus Gang send a small party of raiders out to Carbon. The raiders, expecting the city to have very little opposition, didn’t arm themselves as they should have. When the raiders arrived they were slaughtered.
September: When the raiders sent to raid Carbon fail to come back, their leader thinks the worst and sends out a scouting party to look for them.
September 10: The scouting party fails to report back. The leader now has a hatred for this town and decides to make an attack on it.
October: At night, when the guards are in small numbers, the Corpus Gang attacks Carbon by surprise killing many. The Lawmen finally gather and drive the gang out of Carbon. Their hatred for each other ensues.
2155: The Texas Enclave begins enacting a propaganda campaign to spread its ideology across the wastes. Wastelanders, already used to a non-ruled state of mind, are reluctant to embrace their “government”. Enclave also begins experimenting on raiders to research blood and radioactive effects. Many test subjects are killed off.
Vault-Tec develops a synthetic energy fuel source that can be replicated in a lab. It uses the base qualities of coal, but it has now become liquified and placed inside batteries. Laser technology is also improved upon into machine guns. Armor research was in development, however, due to a lack of strong enough metals, the program was shut down. Vault-Tec continues to create more technological advances, but has no way to field test them underground. Votes to open the door still remain low.
2162: The Master is defeated. Brotherhood of Steel members need new recruits, but elders refuse to let outsiders in the faction. They told the minority, that wished to share their technology, to go on a mission across the wastes by heading East.
March-May: The Brotherhood constructs airships, with experimental nuclear engines, to go East. Scribes and Knights take countless hours to create such vehicles.
June: As they traveled over the mountains a great storm broke the main airship and flung it far from its course. The mighty airship was badly damaged, and many of the expedition leaders were lost to the winds. Many of the other airships were thrown off course and many of them crashed into the city of San Antonio detonating their nuclear engines, causing mass destruction of downtown San Antonio. Sand and dust was blown over the city making it almost completely invisible. The fraction of the crew that still survived, struggled to keep their ship aloft before finally crashing on the outskirts of the ruins of San Antonio. Survivors eventually formed a new organization, which diverged greatly from the ideals of the old Brotherhood.
2164: After 2 years of walking and sleeping what was left of the Brotherhood finally make it to the Alamo. They had small bases here and there but never wanted to stay put in them due to lack of defensive capabilities. When they arrived at the Alamo they found it a great place to set up base camp. The Alamo was left almost completely untouched by the bombs so they began to make it operational.
December: The Alamo it completely operational. The group decided that since they are cut off from the Brotherhood back west, they could create their own chapter with their own ideology. They formed the Council of Four which included the Commander, the Paladin Commander, the Knight Commander, and the Head Scribe.
2165: After various meeting the Council of Four had made their own ideology on how to run this chapter. They agreed on not having an Elder but having a Commander instead. They made a new rank system and overall took a more militaristic approach however, they did something that no other chapter has ever done, they agreed on letting outsiders join the Brotherhood.
July: Enclave takes Fort Worth as an outpost. Re-construction begins and only a small force is dedicated to the area. It is also planned that the 16th Texas Enclave President is scheduled to visit in August.
August 30: Now with growing ranks, the Brotherhood decided to create an outpost near Dallas so they could easily get to Carbon or Lone Star. They sent out a platoon of 30 to go take Fort Worth however, when they arrived they found that the Enclave was already there. At the time, the Brotherhood did not know who they were but because it looked like they had pre-war technology, they decided to attack. With preparations, they attacked and killed half of the Enclave’s force while the other half was forced to retreat. Among these deaths was the Enclave’s president, Jonathan Peterson. Now the Brotherhood controls Fort Worth.
September 1: News of the President’s death stun the Enclave. The Texas Enclave has not ever encountered such advance technology in the hands of wastelanders before. Research soon reveals the perpetrators of the attack called themselves “The Brotherhood of Steel”. The Vice-President of the Texas Enclave takes command of the Presidency. He officially declares war on the Brotherhood. The citizens of the Enclave are vengeful and ready to fight.
2166-2210: The Enclave and Brotherhood continue to have skirmishes across Texas. Many small towns are destroyed during these battles. Other factions in the area begin to take notice at the power each side exhibits. Lone Star Trading decides to capitalize on the war and starts supplying each side with munitions. The Lawmen and The Corpus Gang continue to battle amongst each other, however, the Lawmen are split on who to support. Both sides take casualties however, the Brotherhood did not have as many soldiers compared to the Enclave leaving them at a disadvantage. Just at a same disadvantage, the Enclave did not have as much technology as the Brotherhood, leaving both sides almost at a standstill.
March: A few Brotherhood scouts that were sent west get in contact with the original West Coast Brotherhood, but they do not want to join them. They agreed that they would trade supplies between each other but they would not integrate due to different beliefs.
2211: The Commander of the Brotherhood now realizes that the Enclave has more soldiers compared to them and repurposes the Knights. The Knights are now tasked with both offensive and defensive roles unlike before, where they were tasked to build the scribe’s inventions. The scribes are now in charge of the designing and building of their own technologies. The Commander told the scribes that they needed something to get an edge of the Enclave and to begin research immediately. He also decided to reach out to the West Coast Chapter and see if they could offer help. They sent over supplies along with anyone who believed in their ideology. Finally the Commander also started to send out Paladin teams to look for anything that could help them such as: schematics, weapons, ammo, etc.
August: Urban Squad, an information gathering unit of the Brotherhood, found a schematic of a weapon strange weapon. They brought this to the scribes who then began to work on building it. They dubbed the weapon “The Compliance Regulator” because it immobilized enemy combatants.
2212: March: The 21st President of the Texas Enclave officially resigns after the unsuccessful war between their forces and the Brotherhood. The General of the Enclave Armed Forces takes command of the entire Texas Enclave. The General, Ronald Marshall, initiated a recovery program to revitalize power and morale. The project is code-named “Rising Eagle”.
2213: Under the General’s order, Enclave scientists begin to work on an upgraded version of power armor. Many prototypes are developed and tested. Eventually, a more durable and reliable form of power armor is designed while keeping the same design of the T-51B version.
2215: After over 100 years of hiding underground, The Department Head of Vault-Tec called for the annual vote to leave the vault. Unlike the years before, the majority of the denizens in the Secret Vault decide upon opening the door to the outside. The dwellers of the Secret Vault begin to explore the new world that they have hidden from. Vault-Tec was elated to come outside for it now had a testing ground and a “gullible” market. However, seeing as the Enclave has taken over Los Ybanez, The Department Head keeps the headquarters of Vault-Tec in the Secret Vault.
2220: With the aid of Operation: Rising Eagle, The Texas Enclave were able to enhance the signal broadcaster of their radio antenna. Soon after the signal was enhanced, a broadcast was being played by someone claiming to be Enclave. The signal was pursued by Texas Enclave radio operators, but the signal disappeared.
2223: Vault-Tec allows individuals of high intelligence to join their midst. Those who joined had access to a treasure trove of technology, however, any advancements were closely monitored by Vault-Tec.
2227: Faint claimed “Enclave” signal reappears. Radio operators discover the location of the signal is coming off an oil rig in the Pacific. General Marshall opens up an old government back channel and sends a message to see if anyone responds back. A message confirming the existence of the main force of the Enclave is in the Pacific is received. The two Enclave forces begin communicating and planning out re-expansion of the mainland. The West Coast Enclave exchanges resources and men for intelligence of mainland conditions.
2230:
The Lawmen decide to stay away from other factions. The Lawmen show no sides, targeting Enclave and Brotherhood both if either one decides to endanger the innocent.
The Corpus Gang increases attacks upon Lone Star caravans. Lone Star offers a large sum of caps in return for safe passage through areas. The Corpus Gang declines the offer out of pure spite. Lone Star retaliates by hiring mercenaries to eliminate The Corpus Gang.
2034: Due to the severity of the mercenaries attacks, The Corpus Gang backs off on attacking Lone Star caravans, but continues to prey on small settlements.
2242: The West Coast Oil Rig is reported to be destroyed by an explosion perpetrated by the West Coast Brotherhood. President Richardson of the Enclave is killed in the blast. General Marshall has a heart attack in wake of the news. His son Colonel Ronald Marshall Jr. takes command of the Texas Enclave as reigning General. He regretfully informs the Enclave Citizens of the tragedy. Feeling they are the only remainder of the United States Government once again, he renames the Texas contingent, The Enclave Patriots. Ronald Jr. begins an extreme patriotic propaganda campaign against anyone who opposes them. He also announces retaliation against the Brotherhood for their heinous act.
2244: The Enclave Patriots retaliate against the Brotherhood by laying siege on the Alamo. For 10 straight days, the two sides fight. The Alamo takes significant damage and the Brotherhood begins to break, however, for some unknown reason, the Enclave Patriots retreat from the fight. Victory laid for the Brotherhood, but at a serious cost of men and the Alamo. Reconstruction builds the following day.
2250: Enclave Patriots begin prepping for expansion and the re-indoctrination of wastelanders. The Enclave is ready to revamp their efforts in hopes of restoring the U.S. to its former glory.
The Brotherhood continues on helping wastelanders by sharing technology and supporting small communities. However, the Enclave presses concern now more than ever. The Brotherhood is preparing to defend the wasteland from Enclave control.
The Lawmen have spread their influence all over Texas. Wastelanders are unsure if they support them due to the violence they bring along with them.Feuds still arise against the Corpus Gang, but recently, things have calmed down.
The tide of history depends on the decisions of every individual. You could be the one to reshape history. The power of choice is the strongest of all. That’s because war...war never changes.

Alright guys! We're going to accept apps within the next few days. The map will also then be available to work on. In the mean time, write your apps or post any questions you have on here. Thanks!
What are the requirements for a player faction to be made in the application?
For the moment, we will not be accepting player-made faction applications. When we are further down the line, we will consider allowing them. Thank you for asking! Also, on another note, we are almost done working on our map of Texas. Soon the server will be up and we will get ready to roll!

2101:
Lone Star Trading has grown to be the most successful merchant company in Texas.
2113:
May: After years of transporting supplies, re-building structures, and re-populating the town, the Enclave are ready to set out to reclaim the United States in the name of democracy.
2120:
Settlements begin reporting strange soldiers clad in black armor.
2128:
May 21: After many bloody years of constant territorial warfare between the Viper Gang and the Jackal Gang, a pact was formed between the two rivals. The Vipers and The Jackals would integrate with each other in order to control more power.
May 23:
The Jackals leader, Chompsky, murders the Viper leader in cold blood and devours his heart. Chompsky then declares himself the leader of the conjoined gang. The raiders follow blindly to Chompsky’s command.
2130:
The gang under Chompsky’s command arrives at an old naval base. The base was called Corpus Christi. Chompsky felt that his new band of men need a new name. He took inspiration off of the name of the facility and changed the group’s name to the Corpus Gang. They begin terrorizing and pillaging areas nearby. The group grows extremely ferocious and unpredictable.
2132:
In response of the growing threat of The Corpus Gang, Carbon makes a militia known as the Lawmen to hold off any attacks on their town.
2135:
The Lawmen grow to be more than just a militia, and becomes a group of kind hearted samaritans that wander the wasteland to kill any that do evil acts. The Lawmen become well known and many raiders are careful to approach one.
2140:
The Corpus Gang send a small party of raiders out to Carbon.
2155:
The Texas Enclave begins enacting a propaganda campaign to spread its ideology across the wastes.
2162:
The Master is defeated.
2164:
After 2 years of walking and sleeping what was left of the Brotherhood finally make it to the Alamo.
2165:
After various meeting the Council of Four had made their own ideology on how to run this chapter.
2166-2210:
The Enclave and Brotherhood continue to have skirmishes across Texas.
2211:
The Commander of the Brotherhood now realizes that the Enclave has more soldiers compared to them and repurposes the Knights.
2212:
March: The 21st President of the Texas Enclave officially resigns after the unsuccessful war between their forces and the Brotherhood. The General of the Enclave Armed Forces takes command of the entire Texas Enclave. The General, Ronald Marshall, initiated a recovery program to revitalize power and morale. The project is code-named “Rising Eagle”.
2213:
Under the General’s order, Enclave scientists begin to work on an upgraded version of power armor. Many prototypes are developed and tested. Eventually, a more durable and reliable form of power armor is designed while keeping the same design of the T-51B version.
2215:
After over 100 years of hiding underground, The Department Head of Vault-Tec called for the annual vote to leave the vault.
2220:
With the aid of Operation: Rising Eagle, The Texas Enclave were able to enhance the signal broadcaster of their radio antenna. Soon after the signal was enhanced, a broadcast was being played by someone claiming to be Enclave. The signal was pursued by Texas Enclave radio operators, but the signal disappeared.
2223:
Vault-Tec allows individuals of high intelligence to join their midst. Those who joined had access to a treasure trove of technology, however, any advancements were closely monitored by Vault-Tec.
2227:
Faint claimed “Enclave” signal reappears.
2034:
Due to the severity of the mercenaries attacks, The Corpus Gang backs off on attacking Lone Star caravans, but continues to prey on small settlements.
2242:
The West Coast Oil Rig is reported to be destroyed by an explosion perpetrated by the West Coast Brotherhood.
2244:
The Enclave Patriots retaliate against the Brotherhood by laying siege on the Alamo.
2250:
Enclave Patriots begin prepping for expansion and the re-indoctrination of wastelanders.
Wastelanders are unsure if they support them due to the violence they bring along with them. Feuds still arise against the Corpus Gang, but recently, things have calmed down.
The tide of history depends on the decisions of every individual. You could be the one to reshape history. The power of choice is the strongest of all. That’s because war...war never changes.

For the moment, we will not be accepting player-made faction applications. When we are further down the line, we will consider allowing them. Thank you for asking! Also, on another note, we are almost done working on our map of Texas. Soon the server will be up and we will get ready to roll!
