It would appear to be a 16x16 animated texture that belongs to the upcoming Sea Lantern
Yup, exactly correct.
All of the new Sea Monument textures appear to be animated to some extent. Sea Lanterns ripple and look magical, Prismarine blocks sort of fluctuate between green, blue, and brown.

I know I'm a server admin and us server admins can sometimes seem like the greedy bad guys but please listen to what we have to say. You can never fully understand how bad this EULA is until you have actually tried making a large server like this one. though a profit is nice as it is supposed to pay for an admin to continue to maintain and update a server after release. this is not about getting a profit, this is about the sheer survival of good servers Like Deadman Dungeons.
I agree that the money cow servers need to be controlled and removed if possible but as you guys know, we are far from a money cow server and we have spent 2 years of Beta work to perfect this experience for you guys. We have even spent hours trying to make sure the VIP benefits are fair even if they do provide donors with features like a bit more cell space and slightly better shop prices. But the way I see it is if you give us money for a small buff, you are helping the server stay online for others to enjoy, why shouldn't that be rewarded? Though I think changes to the EULA to prevent cash cow servers is fair, the changes they actually made are entirely one sided and are not considering how it effects the good servers that admins spend immanence amounts of sweat and tears into developing and maintaining.
When Deadman Dungeons is released, it will cost round $5000 a month on hosting, DDOS protection and staff living costs and full time maintenance just to keep it running. This was possible with our current donation benefits but the changes to the EULA will make it virtually impossible for servers like ours to make any money to pay for the expenses unless your server is already well known or backed by a famous youtuber for people to be ok with Pay to Play just to play. Unfortunately we are not one of those servers, we are nobodies with an amazing product that we developed for 2 years and are just about to release it. Nobody will pay to play our server because nobody will know about it and we wont have enough money to pay for advertising to compete with the huge servers who already just advertise with their youtube accounts because they have 1 mil subscribers.
If this EULA goes through, there is a good chance our server will not survive. Along with hundreds of other great servers that were made the right way.
Please sign the petition and help convince Mojang to re-think the changes to the EULA!
I thought deadman dungeons was allowed because you can get the full server experience without paying, and the benefits are non-vanilla, as in, you can get cheaper prices and such but you don't get sharpness 20 swords or something.
I haven't donated a single cent (I will, one day) to this server and I have never felt out or disadvantaged.

Guess who it is! So yes, I managed to aquire one of these accounts.
But on topic with the EULA I feel like all servers were cheated as most servers are so relying on donor income that I only seen one true non Pay2Win server out there. Sometimes I feel like I'm so excluded from the DD economy but it pays off when you find some obscure miraculous source pf profit. So this server ranks deep in my heart with subtle Pay2Win and I'm proud to be involved with this server.
Since the quest guilds will become quest hubs soon, where there won't be one quest like there is now but multiple ones. I have a suggestion.
I think there should be one main quest, a good one that everybody could complete with some effort since it has the rank-up key. I personally think that the ruins quest for example would be a bad main quest, because getting stuck there is really common due to the way the 'puzzles' are designed. Once you know them the quest instantly becomes a breeze, so it's either too hard or too easy, while it should have a consistent difficulty level, and it takes effort every time, but not too much.
The other quests wouldn't contain a rank-up key, but are optional side-quests.
These side-quests would be harder(the good kind of hard, not the kind of hard where you have to fight overpowered mobs, solve abstract riddles that can be interpreted in a thousand ways and parkouring on fences over lava) and also give better and more exclusive rewards. These could be locked by default(some would, others wouldn't) and they could have various prerequisites. These could be;
-Purchase: pay a one-time fee for permanent access to that quest
-Toll: pay every time you do the quest(probably more appropiate for quests that don't have a fixed reward, for example mob grinders)
-Unlock: gain access once you have a certain rank or have completed the main quest(I personally think the rank requirement would be interesting, so that late game players have incentive to go to low levels)
-Find: maybe there's a secret room somewhere(not in the quests itself and preferably not near the quest guild either) that grants you a special key for access to a side-quest. (just one key that you put in one item frame, multiple keys just for a quest is lame)
Thoughts? I personally wanted to implement the quest I was working on as a secret quest but you told me that they have to be in the quest guild unless they're more of a large secret room instead of a quest, so my idea was that you could find the key to my quest somewhere else, but the actual entrance would be in the quest guild.

If someone is reading this at the time of this post, in survival I was booted out of the game. I believe that crash was associated with the minecart I was riding on. Someone put the minecart out of commission so I can play! It resides in the lukasvile tunnel.
at the top of the gladiator tower, I spotted a hole in one of the fence walls. Mek and I went through, and learned that one can, if careful, can climb down the tower.
Proof of escapability:
and now, something for the entertainment starved:
I decided to go on a little adventure. I went around the area, and found some interesting things, like the old christmas event area, the donor mines, some sewers, ruins and donor areas, 2 versions of the Grand De'Rosa, an amazing statue of weasel and muffin sword fighting, and the castle visible from donor. That place is amazing. I found a poster shop buying and selling posters for huge amounts (up to 35K!) and hidden there I even found an openable chest containing an item frame! if you want to see all the screenshots of my adventure, go here
NOTICE: The Sorcerer plugin and all Sorcerer ranks have been removed. Players who were Sorcerers have been given the equivalent Player rank. So Sorcerer_1 is now Sewers rank, Sorcerer_2 is now Ruins rank, Sorcerer_3 is now Inferno rank, and Sorcerer_4 is now Gladiator rank.
If you were previously a Sorcerer, and feel that you should be compensated more, or if you wish to be promoted to Moderator position instead, please send _Galactic_Muffin or I a message explaining why you feel you should be compensated or promoted to Moderator.
Feel free to discuss these changes! We are always open to input and suggestions!
This worries me to be honest, because I always wanted PvP to be as minimal of an aspect as possible, and once the server goes out of beta there will be a lot more traffic.

Sorry I haven't been on the server much recently, but I've been having problems connecting. It lets me join but a few seconds later goes to the dirt-background screen and says "Connection Lost; Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly removed by the remote host". I can connect to other servers without any problems.
A moderator on the official Mojang bug tracker says that this can be fixed by changing the server setting "player-idle-timeout" to 0.
And on the note of removing Sorcerers... I'll miss the Featherfall IV boots that never break. :3 There weren't many active guards on the server anyways so it won't really change much about how the server plays, but it might become a bit of a problem when the official release rolls around and we have more players online.
Hey guys! Hope all is well, both with the server and your actual lives! I miss being on so much :\ Having no internet sucks. However, once I move into the apartment with my friend (my first apartment, exciting right?), I SHOULD be able to come on! Let's hope though. Can't wait to see all of the new stuff once I get back on!
So with guards removed the server will have lots more PvP. Personally, I think the best system would be where people can choose if they want to pvp or not, because the mayority wants the same amount of pvp as other prison servers but 40%, which is still a lot wants it differently. Removal of guards appeals to the more pvp crowd, and being a less pvp person myself, I have a suggestion for people like me so they can trade labor for safety.
Add a special key to the shop that grants access to pvp-free tunnels that can be used as a shortcut or for safety. One key per rank, with varying costs. For example, the sewers key would be 1k, ruins 5k and inferno 15k. Each rank would have multiple spots from which these tunnels can be accessed from, and they are opened by placing the key in an item frame. So for example the sewers key would allow you to travel between the crafting areas, questing guild, shop, tree farm, mines and bank.
