Only four major powers remain in the world today. The American Empire, still struggling to end the Revolutionary War begun nearly 90 years prior, has met with our navies overseas and our armies in the Andes Mountains and along the Canadian border. The Ottomans, forced to sign a peace agreement 45 years ago, have become our closest allies in the world today. The Japanese, an ascending power, has caused some trouble in the Eastern Asian colonies, but nothing our world empire cannot handle. And then, of course, there is our own empire; the Brits have never had much to fear in the darkness, for the sun shall never set upon our empire!
Yet in the darkness, things creep and howl in their silent war. Werewolves and Vampires vie for control of the city while Hunters, Humans invigorated with magics and potions, seek to eliminate these supernatural races. All the while, the regular human goes about his daily life, blissfully unaware of the ongoing war within city streets and alleyways. If one is smart, they keep their head down; whispers are silenced in the night without a scream, and the body disappears leaving no clue to the rest of the ignorant population.
The year is 1860. The place is the city of Rigenhelm, located on the coast of England, facing the Atlantic. The future is in the balance. The hand of destiny is you.

In order to join, you must fill out an application on the character you will be roleplaying as and await acceptance by one of the whitelisters. They will look over applications once a day, so please be patient. If you are denied, you are not disqualified forever; they just want to ensure you have a decent character to roleplay as, one that won’t ruin the experience for others and is developed enough to give you a good story to work through.
The staff will not be responsible for creating the roleplay. That falls to the community, and with many servers of experience, there are many who know how to inspire their own events. What can you bring to the city of Rigenhelm?
The build team spent many months constructing the server for you, and the lore team spent months writing background stories, books, and other literature for you to embellish the experience. Below, you’ll find a little of the lore (enough to write your application) and, at the very bottom, the application. You can attempt to fill it out without reading everything else below, but that would be foolhardy to the extreme. Good luck, and we hope to see you in Rigenhelm!
First and foremost are the humans. This is the race all applicants are by default, and you may not choose to become another. Humans are the main inhabitants of the world, and believe they are the only sentient being left. Humans come in many types and many nationalities, and most are accepted within the British Empire. The Brits have gotten used to people with differences, for their Empire stretches across the known world, covering Europe and parts of Africa, India, Asia, and the Americas. Because of this wide spread, humans are also suited to complete almost any task, as each has been able to specialize in the training of certain professions. And so they scurry about with their own whims and goals, whether that be to attain a noble position, accrue lots of money, or simply to buy the local tavern so you don’t have to pay for drinks. The world is your oyster.
Human Classes
Humans are the only race capable of having different classes. Each human must choose a class, but that does not dictate your profession. Classes will decide what blocks you can break and place, what items you can use, and what armor you can wear.
Gatherer – The gatherer is trained in digging rock and cutting wood. They are not capable of producing anything of value, but rather getting the materials necessary to create anything. However, this class can also place those blocks, things such as wood. This class is best used alongside professions like miner, woodsman, or any construction job: shipbuilding, interior decorating, construction worker, etc. There are always stories of noblemen who made their careers in the navy, working on ships.
Farmer – A man of the earth, this class is important in the production of food for the entire city. The fertile land means food is almost always in abundance, and so occasionally the farmer gets the short end of the stick when prices for food collapse and he is left with little income. However, if a single man were to control the food market, he could be rich beyond his wildest dreams. Planatation owners are seen strutting around the noble district, boasting of their lifetime successes.
Merchant – The craftsmen, this class demonstrates one who has trained in the finer arts of metalworking, woodworking, and other crafts. They buy the raw materials from gatherers and can sell finished products to the general population. Their artwork is well respected by much of the population, especially when it also functions as a unique or effective tool.
Soldier – A man of the gun, this class is suited for those with previous military service or future hopes of engagement. This class cannot produce anything on its own, and must be at the whims of their employers. But with war continuing across the sea, Rigenhelm would be the first hit by an enemy attack, and with the Royal Naval Academy located in the city harbor, soldiers are a common sight throughout the city. Capable of wielding weapons and armor, the soldier is a man of the Empire through and through.
Vampires
Creatures of the night, Vampires originally held sway across the Earth before humans even rose into the Bronze Age. However, their influence declined until it was believed that the race went extinct after the Crusades. Vampires are creatures of the night, and are harmed by direct sunlight. They also feel pain to silver weapons. In compensation of this, Vampires can move faster, jump higher, and take more pain than regular humans. Vampires have used their intelligence to blend in with the native human population, so that they live amongst them peacefully; or rather, as peacefully as you can while you drink their blood secretly. A Vampire’s bite will not turn a human into a Vampire; it requires a special transformation.
Werewolves
Guardians of the Earth, these fantastic hybrids are at a constant war with Vampires, all unbeknownst to the regular human population. These creatures held sway in the Roman Empire, and were the dominant race throughout that time period. However, with the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 C.E, the werewolves were driven underground. Humans believed the last Werewolf died to Spanish Inquisitors in the 15th century. Werewolves are stronger than Vampires, and able to take more hits, but are not as agile. Werewolves blend in with the humans by shifting out of their werewolf form. A human can only become a werewolf through the rites chanted by werewolves at a full moon, along with their own ceremony.
Hunters
The Hunters were born normal humans. However, starting at birth, they were given many complex potions that enhanced their growth, strength, intelligence, and agility. There are also rumors of magic involved in this transformation, although nothing has been proven. Either way, after years of physical tests and steroids, these humans have transformed themselves into the ultimate defenders of humanity. Though they used to be respected by humans at large, the order has fallen under harsh criticism since the end of the Inquisition as a derelict organization that is no longer needed.
Rigenhelm is an ancient city. Originally a Vampiric stronghold, the original city was destroyed by Werewolf Forces long before humans ever developed tools on their own. Cro Magnon men eventually made habitual returns to the destroyed ruins, and slowly built up civilization. Rigenhelm was a small hamlet for many years, eventually falling under the jurisdiction of the Saxon Kings. When William of Normandy landed in 1066, Rigenhelm was made a base of operations for future military gains throughout the rest of the British Isles.
Rigenhelm's population exploded in the late 12th century. Though there had been a settlement at Rigenhelm for thousands of years, including an old military outpost for the Romans, its true growth happened all within the last 600 years. The harbor, though a ruin of its former glory, was quickly rebuilt. The present day Palace was constructed as a castle to protect the rapidly expanding village, and, with the accumulating population growth, a subsequent prison system was developed on the hill overlooking the bay. From there, troops could be easily deployed to defend the city while also watching over convicts, without straining troop numbers too badly.
With each new expansion of immigrants to the British mainland as the empire expanded, new sections were continually built in the city. A fire in the 1300’s helped reorganize the city, and different districts for noblemen, traders, and workers were developed. Walls separated each of these districts, demonstrating the continued expansion of the city limits. With the discovery of the New World in 1492, the King moved his naval academy to Rigenhelm, for easy access to shipping across the wider oceanic empire. This would prove to be an invaluable decision come time for the American Revolutionary War, as ships could be designed, developed, and deployed in a few weeks time with a well trained crew, without a need to constantly revamp city plans or transport workers and materials.
Which leaves us at the present day; with another recent expansion of city population, the current slums were built. Due to mass migrations of people after the Gold Union of 1815 ending the conflict with the Ottoman Empire, many people made their course for Britannia. And many stopped at their first port of call: Rigenhelm. However, among the slums are not just the poor newcomers, but also the poor descendents of poor drunken lads, who, like their forefathers, were unable to find their niche in the city.

Your Character’s Biography:
Ignacio Costa, a young man of Italian heritage, and the half-brother of the leader of Le Troupe, is fresh off the boat from from his home country. He was born into an Italian family, an only child, as his father had already had children in his previous marriage. Being a metal merchant, his father taught Ignacio all he knew, and he even worked in his father’s shop arms business during his teen years. While in his father’s arms business, he traveled all across Europe, and even some parts of Asia, going aboard ships and delivering guns to other merchants. With every country he went, he took a little bit of its culture with him. He learned how to enjoy life in Spain, learned to dance in India, learned to be a comedian in france, and best of all, how to act in England. By the time he was 18, he had traveled to over seven countries.
He was an international young man, but of all the places he went, he loved England the most. They were at the height of the world at the time, and best of all, he had learned how to act there. He loved acting, putting himself in another’s person’s role was one of his favorite things to do, especially in the home country of many famous playwrights. As he grew into his late teens, Ignacio realised that his passion was in acting and comedy, but when he told his dad this, he refused to accept it. This angered Ignacio, so at the age of 20, he left Italy hidden aboard a cargo ship, with one suitcase, and he left a note behind in his father’s study.
Dear Papa,
I have decided to move to England, against your wishes, to pursue my career in acting. I know that you completely disagree with my decision , but this is my life, and I shall do what i think I need with it. This is all I can say, as I don’t know where my future will take me. If you need to contact me, I will be living in the capital city of London, with a friend that I made while working for you. If you need to contact me, mail a letter to 1345 ammar street, London, England.
Your son, Ignacio.
He arrived at his friend's house later that month, and immediately started looking for jobs as an actor, but realised that there weren’t that many openings. He became a comedian for a local tavern instead, making little money, but people still loved him. After a year, he had finally become a big hit, and was paid to perform at many other started accumulating lots of wealth, and two years later, he was offered an acting job. He only occupied this job for a couple months though, as his father sent him a letter, with bad news.
The letter explained that he was falling ill, and wanted to be with Ignacio to be there when he died. After reading the letter, he bought an expensive ticket for a ship to Italy, which was scheduled to leave two week later. The ship actually ended up leaving a month later, and it ended up taking a week to get to Italy, as it was storm season at sea. When he arrived home, it was to late, and his father was dead. His father had left him a letter, which his maid said he wrote a day before he died. The letter included money for a ship to spain, and the address of his half sister’s house. Ignacio’s father’s maid told him that his father wished Ignacio to go tell his previous family about his death. Out of respect, two days later he hopped aboard a ship to Spain.
When he reached spain, it took him a week to get to the house of his father’s previous family, but when he got to the house, the only family member that lived there was the oldest son of the family, Torque. When Ignacio told his half-brother the news, he invited Ignacio to stay with them. They talked, and Ignacio found out that his half sister, Aeiry, had recently written to Torque, and he found out that she was now living in Rigenhelm, a city in England. She was part of a troupe of actors and entertainers. Ignacio seemed interested in the Idea of moving back to England, and he wanted to perform with his half sister. He sent her a letter, saying he was coming, and soon enough, three months later, he found himself in the not so small city of Rigenhelm.
Currently, he is new to Rigenhelm, and has actually only been there for a couple days. He is helping his half-sister with her Troupe, and is hoping to open up a metal merchant shop in honor of his dad, and to make some extra money.
IGN: Kuloko Timezone: EST (Eastern Standard time) Your Age: 15 Your roleplay name: Gamyr Torvar (Pronounced GU-Mar To-rvar) Your character’s age: 27 Your race: Human Your class: Soldier Your Characters Nationality: Irish Your characters goals: To find out more about his heritage and what it means to him. Your characters profession: Unemployed. Your characters fears: That he will be forever caught into the trap of poverty. Characters Backstory: Gamyr grew up in the wild forests of Ireland. His father hunted whilst his mother stayed home and cooked. Gamyr had little contact with the outside world, he learned to hunt from his father using a handmade longbow inscribed with their family crest. For the first 7 years of Gamyr’s life he hunted alongside his father, watching and learning how to use a bow. By the age of 9 Gamyr was already hunting small deer, rabbits, and other small rodents. His mother was a talented cook when it came to soup and stew. They ate in quiet peace at their home in the woods. At the age of 11 Gamyr’s father succumb to a very bad cold. He was forced to stay in bed for 6 months before finally passing on. Gamyr’s mother, filled with grief for her lost husband quickly fell into a great depression that threatened to kill her. Gamyr hunted what wild game he could find and he tried to keep his mother sane. At the age of 14, Gamyr was holding his mother, trying to calm her down after another crying fit when she started to choke violently. His mother died that moment, choked to death by the very tears of which she was mourning the loss of her husband. Now, with little money and food Gamyr was forced to venture from his secluded forest into the world of which he has never seen. The nearest town of Belmark was a quiet town, one that he could make a start in any form he could. He ended up hunting game for a friendly merchant who seemed quite interested in Gamyr. It was not until later that he heard of the great port city of Rigenheim. Gamyr made it his goal to make it to that city, and hopefully make a living any way he could. While working for the merchant he was told stories of distant lands, and savage creatures. He heard tale of Werewolves who haunt the nights, and Vampires who drink the blood of their enemies. When he was 17 years old he has finally made enough money to buy a ticket on a boat to Rigenheim. The boatride there was horendous. Rats and lice crowded the boat, and there was little to no food to eat. When they finally docked into the port of Rigenheim, the sight Gamyr saw amazed him. A very large city that extended farther than he could see, along with thousands of people busling up and down the streets. The first thought going through his head was “work”, so he set off to find a small job. He checked thousands of stores and business’s and it seemed none could use him, so when he was resting in the back of an inn he saw a small flyer on the ground. It read “Join the Rigenheim army! Help secure the city from the evils of the night!” He knew this was his only chance at work. Prior to seeing this flyer Gamyr had stared drinking heavily, it turned him into a violent man. He would get angry easily, he would rage unpredictabally. This made his time in the army difficult. When he joined he was sent to the barracks with all the other new recruits. He found he had nothing to connect to with the recruits so he made little friends among them. After finally finishing training he was introduced to the weapons he would be using. He was given a rusted shortsword and a terrbile bow. He discarded the bow immediately and pulled out his bow given to him by his father. He found using a sword awkward and barbaric, he prefered the deadliness of a bow. Out on the training course he showed what he could truly do with a bow in hand, he it every target right in the bullseye. After training he was put onto the town guard and he had the night shift. Everynight from Dusk to dawn he would patrol the streets of Rigenheim. One evening he had been drinking before he went onto patrol, he came across a young couple that were scuffling over trivial matters. With being drunk already he lost his temper at the young civilians and accidently injured one of them. After his senior in command heard about, this he was immediately discharged from the military, his sword, armor and only source of shelter and food taken away from him. Having no work he went to one of the inns in a lonely part of town, he had a quick convorsation with the innkeeper and they decided he could stay there until his situation turned around. Now Gamyr is 27 years old and he has nothing except his bow, his skills and his mead.
Your Character's Goals: To build an Empire worthy of Temnen’s memory
Your Character's Fears: Spiders, closed spaces, and cats
Your Character’s Biography:
Conal was born in Dugort, a protestant missionary town where his father and mother both worked. As a child he had enough food to never go hungry, and enough things to occupy his mind, he never suffered hunger, he never suffered boredom. Conal’s family wasn’t poor, but they weren’t rich either, they were what some call, middle class. Conal sat all day watching his father read the bible to people, and his mother decorate the church. Conal had never met a poor person, or seen a crime commited, he was “pure”.
The world of this young boy changed one day when he and some other children from the town went on an “adventure”. Conal and these boys traveled outside the town towards the closest side of the island, and what they found was something different. They walked through a valley up to the top of a cliff and discovered a slum of dilapidated cottages. As the boys explored they realized it was another town on the island, full of dirty looking people. The sun began to set and the boys headed home, all except for Conal who had gotten lost in the town. Conal had gone into a small alley for shelter, it was dark and cold and Conal began to cry.
Conal sat there bawling until a strong hand gripped his shoulder. When the boy looked up he saw a grimy face smiling at him.
The face belonged to a man named Temnen, and this man took care of Conal in this dark hour. Conal never returned to the missionary, he stayed in the slums and lived with Temnen. As it turned out Temnen was a thief, he stole from the poor and gave to himself, that’s what he always said. Conal learned with his years all of Temnen’s tricks, and soon he began to steal as well. Conal was a thief by the age of twelve, but he graduated from such petty thievery very quickly. Soon Conal was doing parlor games in the streets to trick people out of their money. His tricks turned into huge scams which were turning Conal and Temnen into rich men in the slums. Soon the two of them had enough money to charter a boat and leave Durgot for good, and from there they headed for England. He never even thought of the two people who had raised him at birth, sitting in their home, wondering where their child had gone.
For the next 10 years Conal and Temnen roamed the coast cities of England, scamming people out of their money, and stealing when they had to. Conal’s mind became quick and sharp, he was more of the brains of the whole operation, Temnen, at this point he was just along for the ride. At the age of 18 Conal and Temnen had amassed so much wealth that they settled down in a large port city. The two of them bought a manor and started a trading business, with some shady backdoor deals of course. Their small business quickly turned into a huge import export company, with a lot of thigns leaving and coming that shouldn’t have been so. They were living the good life, until someone caught on.
A guard named Aidan was inspecting a few crates of one of their ships and found some substances that didn’t belong. He confronted Conal and Temnen, demanding compensation for his silence, and for a while he got it. After a year Conal began growing tired of bribing the guard and cut off payments to him, but Aidan didn’t want to stop living the good life. Aidan and a few other guards ransacked Conal and Temnen’s manor, but Conal held strong and refused to pay the guard another cent. Aidan decided he was done playing games, but he may have taken things to an extreme.
In the night the guard snuck into the manor, he crept into Temnen’s bedroom, and with one of Conal’s kitchen knives Aidan killed Temnen in his sleep. The next morning when Temnen did not come down for breakfast Conal was worried he may be sick and went to go check on him. When Conal found Temnen’s corpse covered in blood he was horrified, he crumpled to his knees and wept. He wept for longer than he can remember, until there was a sudden knock on his door. A glance out the second floor window showed the captain of the guards was below, as well as that scum Aidan. There was nothing Conal could do but run. He grabbed a few sacks of gold and fled through the backdoor of the manor, he fled from that town, and began his life on the run.
For seven years Conal ran, hounded by Aidan, for seven years he could never rest. He ran from town to town, hiding in the shadows, stealing from the rich and giving to himself. He would keep the hatred and sorrow bottled up inside of him, for seven years it brewed, waiting to be unleashed. Finally he was done running, he was done hiding from this law man, and he would finish this today.
He knew Aidan was still following him, so he waited at the gates of the town, he waited there with the knife that had been sticking out of Temnen’s chest all those years ago. He sat there motionless for a day before he saw the white guard horse at a distance. He arose and hid behind the wall of the front gates. As the horse entered Conal leapt forward and pulled the man off his horse, he looked into the man’s eyes and knew it was Aidan. He let out a cry and drove the knife straight through the man’s heart, watching the life drain from Aidan’s eyes. Conal left his body there to rot, he took Aidan’s horse and rode on, still looking for a home.
Conal has stopped running, he needs to stop, he has to stop. He has decided on his new home, Rigenhelm. Rigenhelm, the perfect place for crime, dark alleys and crowded streets make up the port city. He has decided to build a new empire there, one to honor Temnen’s death, one he would be proud of. Beware all rich of Rigenhelm, Conal is prowling the streets at night, the moon as his guidance.

His two younger brothers, Erchar and Andir, had always respected him and tried to be like him. When he was 15 he found out how his family had gotten all of their money, by robbing the nobles from Milan when they had lived there and starting a criminal syndicate in Palermo. Their family had always been close to the leadership of the town, so the law had never been a problem for the family, but now his mother was being taken to the gallows to be hanged for murdering a rival in broad daylight. She was offered a pardon in exchange for one thing, the names and locations of all of the members of the group. His mother quickly took the deal and fled the country fearing retaliation from any of the men she had turned over to the government. His family to a boat from Sicily to Greece and then traveled. All the while Nezinot’s father had been teaching his sons the family business, but when the family reached Spain a group of men being hired by the British to fight in the war in America were recruiting and Nezinot took this opportunity to branch out and make some money while he was at it. Nezinot boarded a boat headed for the British city of Rigenhelm and almost instantly fell in love with the city, not because of its looks or the kindness of its people, but because he saw so many opportunities to make a profit there. Unfortunately for him he had already agreed to be shipped out the next day and he did not want to break his promise.
Nezinot’s group started to work with the 33rd infantry regiment as soon as they landed in America. AS they served he quickly developed a friendship with Gerard Wolfgang Crowley, a member of the British military. During one siege of a American town their commander sent the entire regiment on a suicide attack. Enraged by the command Gerard took his sidearm and shot their commander. The entire regiment was soon under the command of Gerard, who during the battle suffered what should have been a fatal wound. Nezinot dropped what he was doing to help his dying friend. Using what his father had taught him, Nezinot saved Crowley and after the battle was won took him to the medics. After Crowley was shipped back to Rigenhelm Nezinot was awarded full British citizenship and honorable discharge from a military he never actually served in. Once again in Rigenhelm and having not heard from his family in years, Nezinot did the only thing he could think of, set up shop and continue the family business.

Your Character’s Biography:
Born into an Irish farming community by a Irish father and a Norwegian mother, a descendant of the Vikings that colonized it during the viking invasions during the 10th century. He hated the life as a farmer and often went down to the pub to brawl or explore the ruins of castles. He did not like attending school and often skipped classes to run off into the mountains and draw the scenery with a piece of coal. As time went by and he got increasingly bored with the life as a farmer, he grabbed his few possessions and travelled to Dublin. He quickly found out about their thriving underworld and started gathering information on the various gangs fighting for control. He joined one of the richest ones, but ran afoul with the members after a rape attempt on a young lady. He grabbed their money from their little "Clubhouse" and took a boat to England, where he wanted to redeem himself. Believing in balance, you take a little and give a little, he joined the army and was shipped off to serve in the American Revolution.
He served in the 33rd Infantry regiment along with Nezinot Zertor, a civilian contractor. They became good friends and had a tendency to get awfully drunk along with the regiment when they raided an American supply base and kept the booze for themself. Fighting for years, losing friends everyday due to the incompetence of their commanding officers, one day it snapped for him. It was during the attack on an American town, his commander, a fat ******* panicked and sent them on a suicide charge. He himself was going to "Stay back and observe". His cowardice was too much to handle, he grabbed his sidearm and executed him stating: "If you will not serve in combat, you will serve in front of a firing squad." He rallied the men, no one objected and left half of their men as a diversion while they snuck through the sewers and attacked them from behind. On the verge of victory, a stray bullet hit him in the shoulder and he passed out. He woke a couple of days later, the battle was won and their commanding officer had "Died at the hands of rebels". The medics on the front did not have the equipment needed to heal him, so he was shipped to Rigenhelm, to rehabilitate in the Naval academy. While he was there he noticed the corruption that plagued the higher tiers of the military. They cared more for money and power instead of serving the Empire. He felt sick to the stomach and left the military after he was done recovering. Taking matters into his own hands, he started fighting outlaws and highwayman his own way...death by hanging...

Your Character’s Biography: Xiù Sawyer is your average person who doesn't stick out in the crowd. In his youth he had many quarrels with his younger sister: Lindi. His sister was always more artistic than he, but he has his own way of art. Shoes. For some strange reason in Xiù's life he had a love for making shoes. He could not stop measuring feet and making shoes out of old leather that would always break after the first walk in them. When he was around the age of 12 his father sent him to apprentice at a local Cobbler's shop. He learned the art of Cobbling and became a very skilled Cobbler. Xiù was glad to see him leave and for him to regain his customers and have all the things he needed for life, beside a family, and continued this way for now. At the age of 25 Xiù seemed more childish than before and did strange things for amusement. Such as: pulling pranks, giving rude comments and so on. Around the age of 28 he became more aware and understood that his childlike ways are passed him now and will become serious in his profession and soon seek out someone he could be happy with for the rest of his life. Your Character’s Biography: As a young child, Aeiry Lived with her father in Italy. Her father had a divorce from his mother and she had taken most of his wealth. As a merchant he used some of his contacts to get them a ship to Italy. Here is where her father remarried and had a son. Aeiry got along quite well with her brother and they were always doing things together never seen apart. One summer right after the last of the snow melted, they received a letter from Aeiry’s mother telling his father that she was to come home. With the money enclosed for her trip home. She left on the next available ship with her father's extreme urging. 2 years later
Every time she was teased by other girls for not having a father. Every time she got mad her eyes would grow dark with rage, this happend until it seemed that her eyes were always dark with rage. Having a religious and very suspicious mother, they went to the church to have them perform a song for her. The monk who tried to do it left with a blank face saying that he must be sent to the mainland for help, that the demon was too strong.
Aeiry knowing full well that there was nothing wrong with her decided to flee from her town leaving her family (who he never really got along with anyway) and other villagers behind. As he wandered the roads the days had gotten colder and shorter, left with little choice he was forced to find shelter in a farmer’s barn. Careful to not let him know of her presence he stole food from his pigs, barely surviving the winter. As spring drew near and merchants began to move passed the farmers barn, he snuck into his house and stole some of his daughters clothing, allowing her to again resume her wanderings.
A few weeks later he chanced apon a traveling troupe of performers, most of whom had similar wanderings to Aeiry, were all very quick to invite her to join their troupe. Reluctant at first he agreed only to travel a short while with them. But days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and soon winter rolled around once more. As a traveling troupe they were welcome in any town to stay the winter, for entertaining the town of course. The winter rolled by without much eventful happening, except for that alien invasion. Years went by and Aeiry grew into a man, learn from her teenage years how to act, he was often courted by many of the young noblemen that they performed for. When someone left the caravan it was always a sad event, tears and crying, because they were all very close. Aeiry by this time had made some very strong bonds with the other troopers. So as the long lived troupe leader decided to settle down in the next town they passed (as is the way of the troupe). Aeiry who was always very attached to him, thinking of him as a father who he could trust and love (he had forgotten her family by now). In the few moments before he would leave the troupe forever, he sang a song.... Like the sunshine in the morning
Soft is your glow,
I find myself yearning,
I wish to forego
My heart is crying
Why must you go.
*sob* nigh is your departing
Leaving me in throne
I hope you’ll live happily
evermore without a care
and i’m crying quite sillily
holding back my tears,
because I-
Breaking down into tears, and leaving the troupe speechless, he ran into the nearby woods and cried herself to sleep.
The next morning was awkward for everyone, Aeiry who had always been silent and held back showed some of her feelings which surprised everyone. A few tried to talk to her, but every time he changed the topic to something else, not letting anyone hold a conversation with her. Weeks went by and things returned to normal. A couple days out, from a small town they had just performed in, they ran across a man lying in the ditch. Hurriedly they scrambled to get him warm inside one of the wagons. Not having much to do Aeiry wandered around collecting herbs for the man. As night began to fall the caravan began to give up hope that he would wake up before dawn and started out. Aeiry volunteered to watch him as they traveled for any sign of stirring. Absent mindedly he began to sing to herself as they traveled. Unaware that he had woken up he continued to sing until the trolls came to a step in a small town and saw hthey looking at here, silent and unblinking. Startled, he simply stood there standing. Startled out of her stupor by someone knocking on the wagon door. He turned around and headed out the door.
That night when he went back to the wagon, it was apparent that he had been walking around but he was not in the room. Checking the outside he noticed some footprints in the dirt but lost them as they lead into the grass. Unwilling to look for him farther he went back to the wagon.
And this is where our story begins....

Your Character’s Name: Geoffrey "The Colonel" Gouldrick
Your Character’s Class: Retired Soldier (Very rusty)
Your Character's Nationality: English
Your Character’s Age: 51 (born in 1809)
Your Character’s Profession: Treasure Hunter / Grave Robber
Your Character's Goals/Obsessions: To find treasure! He is eager...
Your Character's Fears: Remembering his worst day or being stopped from reaching his goal. His madness is his weakness in his strength, he knows in his sane moments, but fears now that he will hurt the people that he has so far came to love.
When he isn't (feeling) quite right, he almost fears nothing, and does everything out of impulse in a (though strangely and only minimally) organized manner. However, he is not reasonable these times, and if he gets bad enough he may do something amazing that someone sane would never do, or something so utterly stupid that could get him killed. There's no control, but there is strength. (These moments will be based off of me rolling dice in real life to determine whether he's sane or not)
Your Character's Religion: Very un-strict Christianity, his parents never took him to church every Sunday, only on holidays some years.
Your Character’s Biography:
Born into a military family, Geoffrey was a spastic and energetic young boy. Living in the middle class he didn't have to worry much about working at a young age, but he could learn the art of warfare at his own pace. His parents weren't neccessarily strict, maybe they could even be considered neglectful, but Geoffrey was content to do things on his own until they cared enough to send him to the academy. He would wander around the city of London, getting lost many a time, but eventually finding his way back to home safely by the dead of night. He didn't seem to care about getting attention from his parents, he could do things by himself just fine. However, he never got a sense of social relationships, and was awkward; he much preferred doing things on his own and only speaking when absolutely neccessary.
When he reached the age of 11 he was sent to the academy, these years now being only the furthest extent of old Geoffrey's memory. There he was successful, and was able to go attend 4 years and leave when he was 15 without making any friends. He joined the army, pretending he was 18, and was sent to Egypt to help guard the Ottoman Empire, an act of kindness of his home country. He stayed there for three years, and noticably got along with and actually talked to the Ottomans more than he did his own kind.
Every night, he would have a recurring dream about finding treasure. Out in the dunes, he would be walking when he wound find a partially buried entrance to some sort of temple. It only took him minutes of digging in with his hands to reach the entrance. It would be a clear night, and as soon as he stepped inside there would be a passageway leading down. Inside there was a huge treasure trove, unfathomable riches awaiting him, and the temple was only so far out of the town! How far, he didn't even know... Every night in his waking from the dream he would run out into the dunes, and, in the middle of his trek he would stop himself and go back to sleep. Luckily he would never wake and of the Ottomans or and of the Englishman stationed there. This happened twice before he was convinced that it was real. He convinced three of his trusted friends, Ottomans, to come with him out into the dunes on a walk, no matter how silly the notion is to walk in the middle of the desert for leisure. On the walk, he would really try to find what he had seen in his dream without making the Ottomans think him foolish. On the walk, he found the exact same structure that he had seen in the dream! They quickly dug in and saw the treasure inside. Geoffrey started cackling with happiness, almost driven mad by excitement. He started almost bathing in the treasure when he realized his friends were not there. He rubbed his eyes and realized that his hands were covered in... blood! He turned around and saw their bodies lying there, with the blood of them on his hands! He had felt strong pain just then. Was he even in a treasure trove? Was it a mirage? He knew he was in a passage, but he ran outside and passed out from the sheer anxiety at the entrance. When he woke, it was the dead of night. He was no longer near the passage, he was in his cot back in the barracks. The group he brought was not there... did he kill them in madness? They were announced Missing-In-Action the next day, and were dismissed as just disappearing in the night and never coming back. Throughout the years, he would be haunted by his by his memory. However, he was able to fight bravely in the military for a few more years and be promoted to a colonel with his quick wits in battle and force in fighting. He was honorably discharged at age 21 after he was wounded when fighting over in the Americas in the Revolutionary War. There, he developed an obsession for precious objects. On the battlefield, he would steal anything of value from soldiers he killed when nobody looked. He would take crosses off of the peoples' necks and sell them, and he would even resort to breaking into the mausoleums of the rich to steal precious jewelry from the tombs. He would ask around local pubs back in England, long after we was discharged, if they knew of any local legends of treasure (he never found any). He would do profiling of wealthy families and learn of their ancestries and where those ancestors were buried. At this time, he was more emotionally unstable than ever and was half-insane really. He was making just enough money to support himself when he just gave up at age thirty. After a year, he took to larceny until he was 36, which hurt him too much to defile the living. The dead didn't care what he did to them, they were up in heaven, right? 4 more years of graverobbing and he was 40. He had long since become tired of life and wanted to commit suicide right then on his 40th birthday. However, the thought struck him that he could work as a guard for the town he lived in with the history in the military he had. He joined the town guard until he turned 50, when he decided to retire from any jobs. He resorted to begging on the streets when he travelled around when he found the burial place of his parents whom he had long since abandoned. He did not dig up their graves, that would cross his nearly invisible line of morality...
He eventually ended up in Rigenhelm where he had met the Society of Adventurers who took him in from the streets. He had made it clear to them that he wanted treasure (if not more than they did), but never told them of the dream of the chamber that still plagued him every night. All of this had made him prematurely grey-haired. The poor old man was driven mad by greed, thinking he had found treasure. Was the brief happiness of thinking he had fulfilled his dream all of those years ago worth the loss and the madness that it brought him?

Your Character’s Name: Lucien "Whisper" Bachelli
Your Character’s Class: Gatherer
Your Character's Nationality: Italian
Your Character’s Age: 20
Your Character’s Profession: General Laborer (with a penchant towards thievery)
Your Character's Goals: Lucien yearns for independence, but can easily fall victim to a stronger will. He wants people to care about him, or even look upon him kindly. At war with that desire, however, is his simultaneous desire to be left alone. Above all, he just wants to survive.
Your Character's Fears: Lucien is almost deathly afraid of people touching/striking his throat. He is also afraid of loud noises (minor), people raising their voices in anger at him (especially if drunk), prolonged eye contact, and being bound.
Your Character’s Biography:
Lucien was born to a loving family in a remote fishing village. Each day was another peaceful, routine, happy day for the villagers. While his brother and family were content with their lives, Lucien craved adventure and irregularity. When he came of age at sixteen, he packed his things and quickly left, saying short goodbyes to his family. Armed with his mighty spirit and yearning for excitement, he set off into the unknown.
The world, however, had more sinister plans for him. He learned how difficult it was to survive on one's own two legs quickly. He begged from settlement to settlement, barely earning enough to eat. In his desperation, he came under the wing of a traveling conman by the name of Akoro. Enticed by the thought of earning gold, Lucien followed the man wherever he want, helping him to trick people out of their money.
Akoro, however, was not a benevolent being. He did not wish to help Lucien, but to use him as his silent servant. The conman never lost an opportunity to abuse the poor boy. Each time Lucien would speak, the man would strike the boy in the throat. If Lucien ever made eye contact with the man, Akoro would slap him. For two years the abuse continued, until Lucien was an obedient, resigned, and mute servant. Still not trusting the boy to stay with him, however, Akoro would chain Lucien to a tree each time they stopped to make camp.
One night, after a successful con, Akoro celebrated the usual way: with alcohol. He passed out after the routine drunken beating of Lucien...but he left the young man unchained. Lucien sat there for an hour, staring at the conman...until a realization finally crept over him: he was free. Giddy with excitement, Lucien ran. Silent as his voice, he ran, and ran, and ran until he couldn't even remember which way he had left Akoro. He would have laughed if he could have remembered how.
He didn't know how long he had kept running until he finally collapsed in a ditch from exhaustion. The stars spun above him until they finally went black.
He awoke inside of a wagon, to a woman singing. As quietly as he could, he sat up, slipping the hood of his purple cloak over his head. He could do nothing but stare at the woman before him. Questions flew into his mind. Who was she? Had Akoro found him again? No...Lucien wasn't bound...but where was he?
The woman must have noticed he was awake, because she stopped singing and stared back at him, obviously startled. He quickly averted his eyes and pulled his hood lower, almost falling into himself. He prepared himself for the beating that always followed if he looked Akoro in the face...but it didn't come. Instead, there came a knock at the door, and the woman left.
Lucien sat, terrified, until he was sure no-one was around. Quickly and silently as his voice, he left the wagon and walked towards the woods. He was about to break into a sprint when a thought occurred to them...these people...weren't Akoro. He remembered falling into a ditch, cold and exhausted...and woke up warm and safe. He slowly turned back to the group of people. Not knowing who they were, or what they were, he slowly walked back. He knew he wouldn't last long alone...so he stayed. Easily ignored, he melted into the background. People pushed him out of their minds, and he wasn't surprised when, at night, the woman checked the wagon again, not realizing he'd left.
Perhaps these people would be a good lot to fall in with. He wouldn't need to beg anymore...or maybe he wouldn't get hurt.
His lips curled into a smile, and he whispered the first words he'd ever uttered in over a year.

Your Character’s Name: Samuel Cardan
Your Character’s Class: Soldier
Your Character's Nationality: English
Your Character’s Age: 27
Your Character’s Profession: Private Investigator
Your Character's Goals: Don’t die young…
Your Character's Fears: He is cripplingly afraid of heights, and is claustrophobic.
Your Character’s Biography:
Samuel (Sam) Cardan grew up middle class in London; he had a fairly regular life and a loving family. When he turned 18, Sam decided it was time to do something more in life. Using inheritance money from his grandfather, he became a private investigator and had cases regularly. Crime isn’t really something you go into unprepared so he trained to use weapons, and exercised regularly. The cases grew more difficult, and he grew more intelligent and dangerous. He married Miranda Tully, and had two kids, Katelyn and Arthur.
The money he made from the cases he solved was more than enough to supply his wife, children, and even parents if need be. Needless to say, he was wealthy. He earned his money fair and square and no one could say otherwise for it would be a lie. Sam had a solid group of friends who he would get drinks with every week.
Quite a few bad men went down because of Sam, and none of them like it too much. Even away from work he had to make sure he wasn’t being tailed or cased. He began to fear for his family and his fear only worsened when he got the letter. The letter… a 6 inch piece of parchment that changed his life. Written on plain white paper was
“Two Options: Leave London/Turn yourself over to us or your family will see the worst of it. Nothing can save you from us. Wherever you go we will find you and we will kill you.”
This of course was the last straw for him, he sent his wife and kids away to stay at his parents, and told them he would see them in a week. He knew that would never happen. Immediately, he packed his bags and went to a (mostly) peaceful place where he would never be discovered… Rigenhelm, where he will stay until he can return to London or they catch up to him.
Your In Game Name (IGN): Crimsonorigin Your Time Zone (GMT): USA Central Your Character’s Name: Gale Ryder Your Character’s Class: Soldier Your Character's Nationality: American Your Character’s Age: 26 Your Character’s Profession: Mercenary/Explorer Your Character's Goals: Navigate the world, Become an individual, Be young forever (at least in the heart), Fame and glory, Become an intellectual, Uncover the mysteries in the world and mankind, Live an thrilling life. Your Character's Fears:Becoming old, Being forgotten, Conspiracies, Death itself and anything that may cause death.
Your Character’s Biography:
The Ryder family is recognized in North America as a legacy filled with war heroes. With Timothy Ryder’s self-sacrifice for a squadron in battle and his son’s, Jefferson Ryder, impressive and well known medical expertise in the military, Gale Ryder had to continue the legacy his grandfather and father had left behind. So when Gale was born in 1834, his father immediately began taking his newly born to local military forts along the east coast of North America. The young Gale grew up in an environment surrounded by ocean, weapons, and casualties while being constantly ordered to expand his experience in military and naval strategies by his father. Many spoke of Jefferson’s poor parenting skills as he allowed his son to grow up in such a harsh atmosphere but time and time again, he would reply boasting about the future results. Jefferson knew that his son was not an ordinary child. The young Gale slept soundly through the gunshots and wandering smoke the practicing soldiers would perform, often enjoying running around camps and the coastline ignorant of the constant dangers, and would always place himself with the adult soldiers while observing their drunkard ways and horrible slander. The life of the military never phased Gale, in fact, it did not change him the way his very own father had wanted.
By 1851, his father retired and passed the torch to Gale unknown of the future for his own son. At this time, Gale Ryder was seventeen and as immature as a teen could get. He would constantly flirt, sneak out, and join local brawls for entertainment. It was this reason why Jefferson, while starting his retirement, sent Gale into the Naval academy in hopes to create the perfect military captain. Gale performed incredibly well, with little surprise from those who knew his past. Regardless, the young man was kicked out of the program two years later for his mischievous and carefree mind. Instead, Gale traversed along the coast expanding his knowledge of the worlds across the sea and secrets it held, something that was always an interest. At year 20, Jefferson was declared deceased and left the family earnings to his only son, Gale Ryder. This sudden death had an ever changing effect on the young man. He became determined to continue the family legacy of glory and fame.
While Gale attempted to re-join the naval academy, he was turned down because of his past failures three years ago. His burning desire to claim any form of glory overwhelmed him to the point of signing up with rogue mercenaries named the “Crimsons.” The band of rouges were infamous in North America for their activities that highly resembled pirates along with their influence in the Atlantic seas. With Gale’s natural military talent, mischievousness, and expanding book knowledge, he became highly regarded in the “Crimsons.” But, while he was respected in the mercenary group, he did not find the fame and fortune he felt obligated to achieve. To satisfy the Ryder legacy, he waited six years before leaving his mercenary group and set sail one more time on the longest adventure he has yet overcome; to England.
Characteristics:
- Often acts much younger than he should.
- Intrigued by exploration.
- Always curious.
- Often mischievous.
- Has high respect for those “higher ranked" than him.
- Almost always tries to be kind.
- Continuously carefree.
- Often acts on emotion.
- Can be selfish in some areas.
- Demands to expand his personal knowledge.
- Often open minded on a plethora of situations.
- Will do anything to accomplish his goals.
Character Concept:
Purpose: Encourage Exploration, Curiosity, and mischievousness. Shows the imperfection in humans, the consequences of emotion, the ability to be youthful, the actions of kindness, the mistakes of trust, and represent the brilliant and dark secrets within the mind.
I want this character to mainly be a foil toward the many overly mature characters people tend to make. This character is the definition of being an adult yet, still holding on to young qualities. He is also suppose to represent imperfection, often diving into his younger characteristics. For example, he may be witty, but his arrogance can get him into trouble or that he is an caring person yet can act solely on emotions (including jealousy, anger, the whole jar).

The Races
Humans
Werewolves
History of Rigenhelm

Your son,
Ignacio.
He-He.... I win!

Your class: Soldier
Your Characters Nationality: Irish
Your characters goals: To find out more about his heritage and what it means to him.

Your Character’s Name: Conal Rurin
Your Character’s Class: Merchant
Your Character's Nationality: Irish
Your Character’s Age: 28
Your Character’s Profession: Thief
Still CRAZY excited for the server, can't wait to get started!

Your Character's Fears: Death, losing money, failure, and losing the respect of his brothers.
Your Character’s Biography: Nezinot was born in to a rich family in Milan, Italy. When his second brother was born, his family moved to Palermo.

Lolz, good luck with that me.

"Maybe this is home."
But long bios are cooooooool D:! Lol.

Your Character’s Name: Gale Ryder
Your Character’s Class: Soldier
Your Character's Nationality: American
Your Character’s Age: 26
Your Character’s Profession: Mercenary/Explorer
Your Character's Goals: Navigate the world, Become an individual, Be young forever (at least in the heart), Fame and glory, Become an intellectual, Uncover the mysteries in the world and mankind, Live an thrilling life.
Your Character's Fears: Becoming old, Being forgotten, Conspiracies, Death itself and anything that may cause death.
I will not follow any king! Only lead my own ambitions."
"The only place I wanna go; that's forward. Going back is a waste."
"Go back there, it's the only place people like you belong."
"Just don't come back."
