I created a small town with a few members. Fixed the tp problem for Wade and I. I need some name ideas. Some building ideas. Anything town related will help.
The town is slowly but surely coming along. We have a farm, town hall, beacon, storage area, and a mine. I'm almost done putting in dirt. Wade and Queever have been instrumental in the town building. Oh! And we are now a part of a nation! Woo! We need new players to help build my town bc none of our other residents have even stepped foot in the town. Thinking about kicking some.
I'm designing a new system now of potion mixing via cauldrons. The tl;dr explanation is 3 minute speed + 3 minute strength => 2x (1.5 minute speed & strength)
No ETA yet, haven't even laid down the first lines of code for it, but it will probably be fun!
I need to get some more screenshots of that artificial island. It now has a stone wall down to the ocean floor around the border and something like 2000 more dirt lol

Instead of charging per town rank , towns will be charged based on claimed plots. This is a more fair way of doing pricing, and doesn't punish towns for adding new members.
- Town upkeep per plot will be 50r
- Towns will be able to claim 4 plots per player in town
- Maximum bonus plots will be reduced to 40
- Outposts will be disabled
Survival - QuestWorld update!
QuestWorld has been changed to add Repeating quests
These refresh immediately after completion, and this is the new setting for all Trade quests!
There's also been a number of bug fixes that shouldn't affect you, but make our lives easier as staff.
Survival - TownyTweaks permission update!
TownyTweaks, our lovely homebrew towny hacking plugin, now assigns permissions to players based on their town rank.
What does this mean? In the future, we'll be able to create perks for being part of a large town, which will further incentivize maintaining good towns!
Survival - Fools gold
Mesa gold is incredibly common. Economy breaking-ly common. Now all of the "extra" gold generated in mesas will drop "Fools Gold", which is a renamed iron nugget .
If you don't like this change, don't fear! We'll be removing that extra gold generation in the future and you'll never have to deal with this again
Survival - Modified /wild
The /wild command has been very helpful in getting players into new areas. Sadly, it destroyed the need to explore . The cooldown was meant to help, but the fundamental problem is still there.
So what did we do? The command can only reach half of the terrain in any given world. The outer edges cannot be reached without exploration, which we think is a good compromise.
Survival - /warp for towns
Small tweak after seeing a number of failed attempts to /warp townname. Now /warp townname actually works, assuming there are no warps that share the towns name .
Web - Updated player stats page w/ warps and economy
Our stats page (both the old and new version) are once again able to pull data from our economy and warp plugins!
Web - Updated server resource ips
The server resource pages now have the correct server ips. Yay!
Web - Upgraded Wiki to 1.28.2
The wiki was upgraded. It was a pain, but now it should work for the next 6 years
Why is this page listed under Shade Crest's votes if posting a message is not rewarded. I am just curious. If you want people to visit this page and see all that you do, why not set it up as one of those gray-texted advertisements that pop up in chat every so often? Or post a thread to it?
Anyways, sorry I have not been on or voting. I was at home and thus sharing an IP address with Taylor, which meant that only one of us could vote. I decided to give her the opportunity since I know I cannot beat Mietm.

Portals from the towny world now link to the mining nether as we prepare to remove the persistent nether. If you somehow reach the persistent nether, portals from there take you to the mining world, rather than towny.

PvP Changes
Global pvp (with town toggle) is now in effect! If you somehow missed the thread right before this one in news, first of what are you doing with your life, and secondly go read it!
Town price
New towns have been "reduced" from 10k to 6k. The actual town price is
the same (5k), but the initial town balance has changed from 5k to 1k.
This only affects the bar to entry for players creating a new town.
Wood tools
Wood tools now have a purpose, see this thread!
The plan is to enhance stone and gold tools as well, but I don't have
many ideas. If you have clever ideas, post in that thread!
Cauldrons
Did you accidentally end up with a pink bed that you REALLY don't want?
Use a cauldron to remove the color! This now works on beds and wool.
Also, you can empty a wet sponge into a cauldron to dry it faster than baking it in a furnace.

Finally got around to fixing a bunch of web stuff, now both the old player stats page and the brand new one are fully functional!

I really need to get that OP updated... Now on 1.12.2! We're allowing 1.12.x clients to connect, but we recommend using the latest version.
