Hello,
I have a minecraft spigot 1.15 server with a 8 core cpu and 8 GB of dedicated ram.
We play on this server in 2 and built a village with many villagers.
In the area of the village the mobs are jerky, while if I move away everything works properly.
I use about 12% of the CPU and 3 GB of the 8 GB dedicated to the sever.
Is the problem due to the fact that the server uses only one core?
How can I increase the cores used by the server or solve my problem?
Hey There!
Minecraft Java Servers are single threaded and therefore, only uses 1 core.
However, some operations are multi-threaded in Minecraft 1.14+.
This is a hardcoded limit and there is no way around it (from what I know of).
It is also recommended to post all server related questions here in the future! https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/server-support-and
Best of luck!
