I'm planning on hosting again for me and my friends, but currently the PC I want to use is across the room from my router. There is nothing obstructing the view so bandwidth/latency should be fine through the wireless network card it has currently
I was just wondering if there is any inherent down side to using a wireless connection between the router and the server instead of using a hardwired set up. There is also a microwave nearby if that matters.

Hey @that_sandwitch
Well, in *theory* it should be fine, switching to wired setup simplifies things just a bit.
If you are talking about a few friends, should be fine either way, but if you do have problems, definitely it on a wired setup and see if that helps.
Good luck, and hope you all have fun!
