Character Information
Name: Kalios
Age: 93
Race: Elf
Physical description: A fairly strong 5 foot 5 inches man with pointy ears white hair and red eyes. He is left hand dominant, has pale skin and is 115 lbs.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Kalios was born and raised in the wild where he developed good life skills like how to cut down trees and how to hunt. His brother taught him much of that. When Kalios was training with his bow once, as he let go of the string it whacked him in his arm. Though he could never surpass his brother's strength, he did surpass his intelligence and aim. His brother was the muscle of his household because his father was too old, his mother was feeble, and his sister ran away. Gregavus (Kal's brother) was constantly at work hauling wood and cutting down trees for their log cabin in Atruran where they lived, Kalios helped his brother cut down trees but couldn't carry the logs back. So, during that time, up in the trees Kalios read books that his father had gotten him from his trips to the city and from his adventures in Enris and made the voices of the characters sound like the people from his life. His father was a soldier for Thaer and was one of the faithful. When Kal was hunting one night he thought he heard footsteps but he presumed he was just tired. Later that night, men came travelling out of the forest the forest where Kal's family lived, they were humans and were fairly well-armed and strong. They were here to burn down and kill the inhabitants of Kal's family's cabin. They didn't say a word they just walked towards Kal's family, drew their swords and charged at them. His father started fending them off as Kalios ran into the house and got his bow and quiver. He slung the quiver on his back and charged out the door. He drew his bow and as he looked down the arrow at the man he was about to kill, he hesitated... is it really worth taking a man's life to stop them from burning down the cabin? After a brief moment he decided yes, it was worth it. So he let the arrow fly. It hit precisely where he wanted it to. In between the man's eyes. First he saw the life drain from the man's now soulless eyes... unblinking, unmoving. Next the man's knees sank to the ground, then his torso. That was the first man Kalios had ever killed and from then on he only killed two more. Both in defense of his home that night. But they only prolonged the inevitable and their home was burned down with his mother still inside (I hope that's not too cliché). Kal and his family all split up that night and never met again...

What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To find his siblings and hunt down the people who burned down the house
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Kalios is a caring person to most and loves to read and hunt, he has gained strength and intelligence because of his experience and he has gone through things some might not even imagine.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Kal has many flaws. Whenever someone mentions a mother he gets frustrated and sad. People don't understand or relate to him so he is cast out from society a bit.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): Kalios now has a burning hate for most humans as he now thinks they are all evil and want to kill him.
Your traits MUST COINCIDE with your character in description and biography. Whitelisters can and will defer apps if your traits do not match your character. New characters begin with 7 trait points, but a final eighth point can be earned in character through training. Some traits such as alchemy and arcane magic can only be obtained in game. You can learn new traits through in-character training at the expense of replacing one of your previously known traits. Some traits cost more than one point, so please ask if you have any questions.

Rejected: mrmcbuttington
I'm sorry, but you have been rejected. Being rejected means you cannot apply to play as a character for the remainder of this server's lifespan. Reasons for rejection: Your character is overpowered, vaguely parodying Jesus. You have no screenshot of your skin, there are numerous continuity and grammer errors in your biography. I'm sorry, but this low level of work on your app does not meet our quality standards. Have a nice day.
Don't be discouraged! There's always the next server. Just take your time, and work on your writing. Make sure you read the lore of the server before applying to it.

What is the definition of “Powergaming”?:
Powergaming is any type of roleplay in which the offender takes control of another persons character, without the other characters consent and/or knowledge. Essentially, no player can ever define what a character is or isn't; a player has a right to determine how their character lives and acts within the world. The Staff is able to tell someone what there character is not, but they cannot define a character beyond limiting it. So no 10 foot tall monsters that deal a million damage.
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?:
Metagaming is using any unreasonable amount of outside knowledge to influence the RP when your character would otherwise not know. This includes using minecraft physics; building a mob farm is metagaming just as much as using knowledge about a plot your character could not possibly know about. It is generally discouraged if your character would have no feasible way of knowing it. If you have to pause and think about how your character could possibly know this, and in the end need to pull a very convoluted reason out of your ass, it is metagaming and you should not do that.
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?:
Roleplay is basically the word it stands by. A man or woman would pick a certain role, and act as that role to simulate a situation or point of view. People also use this both in real life and on the internet. The character sets a certain personality, social setup, or informational sheet on who their character is, and enters the play acting as that same character and using how he/she would react in a situation, say if someone was mean and grumpy,
Man:Hey, old person, I stole your hat!
Other player: You no good two timin' thief! Give it back!
And so on and so forth!
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?:
Nobodyyyy
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?:
Only when given permission by the other character's creator
When are you allowed to speak out of character?:

I've been with this community since Silver Ages and have been on every server since, I've also roleplayed on several other Minecraft servers, and even on World of Warcraft and some forums
Character Information
Name:
Apollo Cartwright
Age:
28
Race:
Human
Physical description:
A tall and slender man who seems to carry himself with every ounce of elegance he can. Apollo almost has a condescending aura about him, usually brought on by the way he acts around others. Once draped in some of the finest materials, all he wears now is the basic 'rags' of everyday villagers. He tries to look sophisticated with the way he perfectly combs his pale platinum hair to one side. Though a lock or two usually finds its way out of the strict style. Apollo is very hygienic and usually manages to keep himself clean at all times, usually going out of his way to avoid a mess.
Screen capture of your skin:
Biography:
Apollo was born into a rich, aristocratic family that never really had the time to care for a child. Since birth he'd been raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. Though as he grew older he began to realize that, while he still had everything he'd ever wanted, his parents never had much time for him. His father was an incredibly clever and lucky man, a deadly combination in the city of Concord where he was born. Usually gambling his riches and returning home with pockets full, he was gone so long that he never spent time with Apollo. His mother, on the other hand, was unfaithful. While his father was absent in the house, Apollo's mother would often have 'visitors' over to keep her close company. She was never caught, for the boy's father usually only ever returned too drunk to figure out what was going on. While they were both busy with their, let's say "hobbies." Apollo took to books. They owned a rather expansive library, so there was never any lack of scripture to flip through and fill his little mind with knowledge. This became his regular routine, and years later he'd grown into a rather intelligent young man. Much like his father, conniving, clever, and with a hell of a lot of luck. Like most children, he followed in his parent's footsteps... And began to gamble. There was nothing that was too morally low or too difficult for a man of his skill. And at a surprisingly young age he had amassed a fortune of his own. It wasn't much, compared to both his parents, and thus he was tempted to look into other means. Apollo began to write novels, tales of glory found only in fantasy. Eventually through a few significant bestsellers across the kingdom of Enris he'd become a well known author and one of the richest people in Concord. Though it wasn't to last, all luck runs out eventually. During one of his usual gamblings, a fighting pit, he'd bet on a beefy looking beast of a man against what could only be described as a quivering rat. To anyone, the bet looked like a sure fire win, so he bet nearly everything in a double or nothing effort. However, the rat man was swifter, dirtier, and smarter. In a shockingly vicious turn of events the smaller man had practically torn his bull of an opponent apart. Simultaneously leaving Apollo pennyless. He knew he wouldn't survive in the city without his riches, and had heard a few nights before that trade was frequent in Thaeron. With a new goal, to start earning an honest living solely through his writings instead of gambling, he headed out. Just barely managing to avoid the raiding undead by a few days time. Now he desires to spread his name even further, and earn back the riches he once lost by his former addiction.
What is your character’s main goal?:
To spread his name throughout the land with his novels and scripture.
Strengths:
Apollo is very persuasive, being as clever as he is. He knows how to discover a persons wants and needs and use them to his own advantage. He also happens to be a very swift writer and through years of studying several books on the other races he has a wide knowledge of their languages and culture. Apollo is also known to often keep a level head under most circumstances, and carries himself with respect and honor. Though he doesn't usually treat others the same. He is also a skilled and trained liar, not many people can see through him.
Weaknesses:
Apollo is very lacking in physical strength, he can't hold himself in a fight very well and given the choice he'd choose diplomacy or flight before an actual battle. Dirt and muck also unnerves him, and he will normally lose his temper quite swiftly if his complexion is muddled or ruined. He is also very condescending towards those he believes to be below him, which more often than not lands him in a lot of trouble. If money or cash is involved, he can also be very selfish and easy to bribe or manipulate.
What is your character's personality?:
Apollo is clever, intelligent, skilled, and selfish. While he has sworn to make an honest living through his books, he will do anything to get a quick buck. This includes spying, conning, betting, and any other smaller tasks. Overall, one could best describe him as a snake, as he still hasn't completely given up his old ways of lying and gambling.
Bonus Language:
Savage (Linguist -> Allani, Runic) (Scholar -> Wild Elven)
Character Traits:
Linguist - 1 (Through study)
Keen Hearing - 1 (When in Concord he learned to listen to anyone and everyone to possibly help him con or gamble)
Scholar - 2 (He's a writer, he's gotta have books man)
Savings II - 2 (So far he's salvaged what was left of his fortune)
Forgery - 1 (His way with a pen is skillful and precise, forgery is no challenge)

Name: Dash "The Dark" Lynn
Age: 25
Race: Drow
Physical description: He has dark hair, dark eyes, and grey skin. He is about 5'10" and roughly 140 lbs. He has a cold look to his face almost all the time. He is slightly muscular in stature. He is always seen wearing his red robes.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here): http://imgur.com/YaGfLk6
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Dash Lynn was born in Allan from Rainel Lynn and Thomas Lynn. His mother is a doctor while his father used to teach in a university before moving to Allan. While growing up, Dash was schooled by has parents. He was a quick learner and became very intelligent. Besides Caro and Allani, Dash was taught how to speak Wild Elven, Savage, and Artruan. When he reached 17, he was enlisted in to the military. He underwent basic training on sword play before his intelligence was recognized by the military. The military heads thought he was more useful as a tactician instead of a soldier due to his ability to formulate intricate plans quickly. He was given his nickname "Dash The Dark" since a lot of his plans were kind of unorthodox in a way. He'd come up with deception techniques and other plans which wouldn't only bring down numbers, but also morale. He served as a tactician until the age of 23 when they decided that Dash needed to be back on the front lines due to the fact that they were running low on men and Dash has occasionally come up with plans that were complete failures. Dash was displeased, but followed his orders. Two months after being on the front lines, Dash was given an order to kill a Savage prisoner from the forlorn lands. Dash would have followed through, but he was unable to take his life since he saw how scared the Savage was. He instead, killed his superior and helped the savage escape back to the Forlorn Lands. Dash learned that the name of the Savage was Horland. He helped Horland back to the Forlorn Lands, but Horland asked Dash to come travel with him, since he didn't want anything to do with his military either. During their travels, Dash and Horland got along very well. Dash was able to ditch his soldier uniform and obtained a set of red robes to hide the fact that he was a Drow. Dash helped Horland get the advantage on the enemies they faced throughout their travels since Horland was a skilled bowman and a better warrior than Dash. They travelled together for about a year all the way to the Mistlands. Along the way, Dash had to learn to be acrobatic since the terrain was harsh and he was travelling by foot. Eventually, Horland succumbed to an illness and perished. Dash continued. He decided to make his way to Enris, where hopefully his skills as a tactician would be acknowledged. Using his knowledge of sword play and strategic mind, he was able to defend himself well on the way. When Dash made his way to Enris, He tried to appeal to the king to become a tactician in the military, but was ultimately turned down since he was young and inexperienced. He now travels Enris, at age 25, trying to find a small military or a faction or anyone to let him be their tactician, logician, or strategic adversary.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To eventually become the head tactician, logician, or strategic advisor of Enris.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):
Dash is able to use a sword well. While he only knows the basics, he has mastered them over the years. He is also incredibly smart and is able to formulate plans in a matter of minutes. If he messes up, he takes failure and criticism well He is not easily manipulated and he is usually able to tell when someone is lying or not.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Although Dash is smart, he is somewhat arrogant. He believes his plans are what are the best and disregards any other plans made by someone else if he has one completed. Although his plans usually work, sometimes they end up a complete failure. Dash is also very detached. He doesn't trust anyone and doesn't make friends easily due to the fact that he comes off as rude and insulting, even though he is trying to be critical. Although he mastered basic swordplay, since that's all he knows, he is not the best in battle, despite being born in a militaristic nation.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): INTP. He is very logical, very inteligent, but very detached.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Allani, Wild Elven, Artuan, Savage

Character Information
Name: Galen Tork
Age: 29
Race: Half Human, Half Wild Elf
Physical description:
Galen is taller than average (6'3"), and has a somewhat muscular physique that is more lean than bulky. He has dark skin, most likely from his origins in the hot, humid lands of Mezenia. He has various tattoos running along both of his arms and the right side of his neck.
Skin:
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Galen was born in the land of Mezenia, to a wild elf named Maybelle Tork who lived in a poor, mostly human farming village on the borders of the country's jungles. Before she had Galen, Maybelle kept the company of many men and therefore he never knew who his father was. After giving birth, she changed her ways, and focused on raising her only son.
Galen grew up poor. The town's main economic activity was trading the food they grew with the wild elven tribes that would pass through it occasionally. For most of his childhood, farming was one of the only things he knew; when he wasn't working, he'd spend his time drawing people and trees. He picked up the wild elven language from his mother before he learned to speak Caro. As soon as he was old enough, Galen learned the basics of planting and tending to crops. When he was eleven, he began to trade crops with and regularly interact with a few of the wild elven tribes.
Although she made it her mission to be the best possible mother for her child, Maybelle began to drink a lot, possibly driven by their harsh and seemingly hopeless living circumstances. Galen saw this and tried to fight against it with her, but they both ultimately failed as she fell deeper into a life of alcoholism. When he turned thirteen, Galen decided that he wanted to build a life for he and his mother somewhere away from Mezenia. He left their farm and traveled to the sea, where he brought passage to Alann with nearly all of the coin he and his mother had saved up. It was in the capital of the country that he spent the formative years of his life, and learned to fight. He helped Maybelle fight her addiction by keeping a watchful eye over her. He brought her everywhere with him, whether it was to the barracks for swordsman training, or to the town square where he'd often play chess (or this world's equivalent)) with a few other regulars. The nature of Alanni society required that Maybelle serve in the military as well, and this helped revitalize her wild fighting spirit. Together, they began to prosper in their own special way in Alann, Galen growing proficient with both the sword and the axe as he grew through his teen years. ((This is where he learned to wear light armor, and use simple weapons))
It was when he was nineteen that Galen was contacted by a mercenary company based in Horizon. They were offering a nice amount of pay, enough that in a year's time, he might be able to buy a larger house for his mother and provide for her. He left Alann and traveled to Horizon to join the company, where he found that most of the members were orcs. At first, he was reluctant to join, thinking back to every terrible thing he'd ever heard about "savages" in his lifetime. However, he realized that the gold was too much to pass up, and so he joined the company. He wasn't the only human member, but they were definitely a minority.
During the first six months of his tenure with the company, he was mauled in nearly every single sparring session with his orc companions. The beatings threatened to break his spirit, as he had gone from a very proficient fighter in his mind, to a beginner again. Despite his height, Galen was thin, due to his wild elven blood. It was hard for him to gain weight if he did not make a conscious effort to eat and exercise even more than the average fighter had to. After cursing the gods for making his body the way they did, Galen began to change his diet and practicing regiments. He made his workouts more intense, and ate as much as he could every day. After a few months, he began to see differences. He knew that he would never gain enough bulk to match the strength of the orcs, but the extra weight that he put on helped him adapt his fighting style to utilize his own strength. When he was finally able to hold his own against one of his orcish lieutenants, he joined the company officially and received his first tattoo. ((As he practiced, he began to use medium armor and martial weapons. He also learned to make heavy use of quick counter attacks, in order to use his speed to his advantage as opposed to strength)).
In addition to making him a better fighter, Galen's work with the mercenary company gave him a better sense of self. It forced him to define what his moral limits were, and how far he was willing to go for gold. Perhaps it was because of his years of having to struggle daily that he decided that he was willing to go very far.
It paid off. Galen brought his mother a house in Alann when he was twenty-six, and the smile on her face was nothing compared to the smile on his as he saw how far she'd come from her alcoholic days. We've gone from nothing to this, using only our hard work and innate skills, he thought as he left her. She still lived alone, but Galen visited her as often as he could in between jobs. He had the mercenary company sent a fraction of his pay to her every time they finished a mission. His mother seemed happy, but he wasn't sure if it was because they finally lived comfortably, or because she'd defeated her own personal demons.
As he neared his thirties, Galen began to ask himself a similar question. Was he happy with his life? Would he ever be happy, living the life he was living? When he turned twenty-nine, Goraq, the current leader of the mercenary company and one of Galen's closest friends, sent him to the land of Enris to look for more recruits and perhaps set up a branch of the company to lead. It was only when he arrived in the Crownlands and was searching for passage across the sea that he heard tell of a new plight in Enris. Galen had never been one to fight for people that he did not know, especially for free. The only country that he felt any semblance of alegiance to was Alann, and that might have been only because that was where his mother lived. Still, he was curious, and perhaps there was opportunity to find something that had been missing from his life.
Although he'd become stronger by being a sellsword, and he'd made valuable friends and allies, life among the orcish mercenaries left him feeling alive while fighting and empty afterwards. He'd seen many friends seek out death in battle. Perhaps for the orcs, dying in battle was fulfilling. The more he thought about it, the more he realized that the same could not be said for him. Perhaps in Enris, Galen would find what others found in religion, or art, or magic: some type of deeper meaning or sense of accomplishment. I want to die knowing that I've accomplished something for myself, he thought as he brought himself passage upon the next ship to The Holy Land.
What is your character's main goal?:
If anybody were to ask him this, Galen would say that his goal is to die rich. However, on a more subconscious level, he's searching for some type of direction in his life; perhaps some stability. For example, he's fought and killed many people, and met many women, but he's never truly been in love. To put it shortly, his life as a mercenary has left him feeling as if he's missed out on a lot. He wants to experience moments that he will remember for the rest of his life, because of now, he doesn't have many.
Strengths:
Galen's a proficient fighter, using his mix of strength and quickness to his advantage. Because he's never been a hulking giant of a person, he's adapted his style to incorporate his height and reflexes to maximize his advantages. He has a good work ethic and is very disciplined, adn when he sets a goal for himself, he will see to it that happens. Although he might have a gruff/outright mean exterior, once he gets to know a person, he's generally amiable. This can be viewed as a weakness, but he's very honest. He speaks four languages because of his upbringing and travels, which can help with communication with other races. Finally, he began to draw when he was a child and never stopped. He's fairly talented now, and still occasionally spends his time drawing depictions of scenery and people.
Weaknesses:
Galen is naturally thin, meaning that if his general plan of avoiding attacks fails, he's in for a tough fight. He's not naturally charismatic (unless he's had a few drinks), and so making friends isn't his strong suit. While he is intelligent, he has a temper, and can be extremely irrational when he's angry (and sometimes when he's not). When he was 25, he broke his left leg during a mission. Although he got treatment for it, something never healed right. He does not walk with a limp, however, it's a weak spot and if he's forced to put too much weight on it, or suffers a blow to it, he will be greatly disadvantaged. It wouldn't take much for it to be broken again. He never learned to read Caro. He can read some Savage, Alanni, and most Wild Elven. Finally, he is deathly afraid of fire, although he would never admit it.
Peronality:
Galen is a fighter, both in the literal sense and in terms of his personality. He is not quick to give up, and is very resilient. He is definitely one to hold a grudge, and he has a quick temper. He is extremely unsympathetic to those who complain about hardships in their life. He is very independent and respects others who carry the same trait.
Bonus Language: Wild Elven
Traits:
1 - Light Armor
1 - Medium Armor
1 - Linquist (I'm giving this to him because in addition to Caro and Wild Elven, he's learned Alanni and Savage from his life in Alann and his work with the orcs)
1 - Simply Weapons Proficiency
1 - Martial Weapons Proficiency
1 - Counter 1
1 - Fast Healer
Talented Human Trait - Forgery (Some of his mercenary contracts required more subversive techniques. Galen found that his skill for drawing helped him learn to forge other people's signatures for the company's more stealthy members to plant).
So, first and foremost, you didn't actually list your IGN. I assume it's daash99, but when you repost your app, that'd be a good thing to add. Secondly, your biography needs a bit of work. Drow live to be ~120 naturally, so in terms of maturity relative to humanity, your character would be prepubescent. You wouldn't know this right now, as it's being detailed more in just a short while on the forum post, but if I were you I would age him up to about 25, which is around 17 in drow years. On that note, it's strange how your character's life played out. Normally, tacticians don't get sent BACK to the front lines if they're any good, and being so young AND male in a matriarchal society (more on that can be found here http://silvergaming.enjin.com/forum/m/5878146/viewthread/23415853-races-drow) would probably make him even less likely to get promoted in the first place. And he could have traveled with the Savage, however usually a lone person wouldn't benefit from a tactician/strategist. The weaknesses, too could use some work. "Sometimes fails" and "a loner" are the only things I would see as flaws there, and weak ones at that. Try making him a bit less competent, or have some kind of thing that REALLY makes him hard to work with. Finally, there was a typo in the Traits thread; Dodge III costs 3 points. You can have Dodge I or another trait that costs 1, but not 3 without some other rearranging. Scholar also allows you one more language in addition to the bonus one and the two from Linguist, so go ahead and choose another language. Good luck! EDIT: In the time it took me to post this, you fixed the Dodge, Martial Weapons and IGN problems. Sorry about that, you can ignore those.

Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server: Yes
What is the definition of Powergaming: Being too strong, too unreal, treating others as NPC’s in a way. A powergamer is usually stuck in the mindset that they are in a singleplayer game, and try to put themselves above others with their special snowflake status.
What is the definition of Metagaming: Using real or outside knowledge to benefit a cause in the fictitious game. An example in a server such as this would be reading through other characters apps, knowing their true intentions, strengths, and weaknesses and then exploiting these upon entering the server.
What is the definition of Roleplay: Simply put, playing a role other than yourself. Acting as your character would, making decisions not on what you would do, but what this character living in a land of fantasy and magic would do.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods: Noone.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character? There must be a roleplay reason, and consent on both sides. This character must agree, and it must start with RP, and then delve into physical PvP if needs be.
When are you allowed to speak out of character: When using double parenthesis, this is usually reserved for clarification of RP, not to start a conversation about how hyped you are for Fallout 4 in the middle of town square.
Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere: I played on both Silver Age and Book of Halegron. I both play and run tabletop RPG’s including Pathfinder, DND 5e, and a homebrew system.
Character Information
Name: Andrew Nelson
Age: 32
Race: Human
Physical description: Andrew stands at a modest 5’7” but looks slightly taller in his durable work boots. Years of work in the sun has aged his body, his flesh is tanned and his face already showing signs of someone much older than 30. One would expect a dirt covered face, but Andrew takes care to keep himself clean and healthy, his body is toned from years working to help others. He has dark brown eyes, matching his scraggly hair and trimmed beard. The first thing that others notice is a light, a kindness in his eyes. There is a safeness resting under his thick eyebrows, welcoming others to introduce themselves. He prefers to wear bright clothes with many pockets for storing all manner of miscellaneous trinkets.
Biography: What is your earliest memory? Is it your first step, your first friend, perhaps when you left to school all on your own for the first time? It’s alright if you can’t remember, life tends to blur together, a conglomerate of memories, both real and fictitious. I remember it clearly though, my first memory, the moment in life that stood out to me above the rest and defined who I was to become.
A brightness, a physical glow reflecting off the physical world and into your soul. A pure mist, overloading every sense as the crashing of water pours down around you. As high as I looked I saw water, careening down green cliffs, and beyond that the blue sky, and golden sun, peeking from above the walls of a lush valley. And in this valley lay the most beautiful structures known to man, giant pillars made from the finest marble, towering statues of beautiful people, and lavish buildings shining with an otherworldly glow. My first memory is of St. Jessica, the holy land itself. Some consider memories to be an event, something that happened in time, but mine is a screenshot, something instantaneous, forever lodged into the crevice of my mind, readily available on a moment’s notice.
I don’t know how old I was at that time, but I can’t have been above five, that’s when the man they called my father left. Me and my mother took him there, and that’s where he remains, still to this day. It’s funny that such a beautiful memory becomes so dark with context. My father was a man so devoted to religion that he left his own wife and child so he could study and live in luxury. I don’t blame the priests for accepting him, I doubt they could know the consequences of leaving a small boy with only one parent. I’ve never returned to St. Jessica, and have no wish to, my memory should stay safe, tucked away with other beautiful things.
After that, my memories blur, nothing stands out in my mind, all of my information coming from stories told about me. You may wonder why I don’t call that man we left behind in St. Victoria my father, and let me answer with a question. Why would a man as devoted as he, one whose only goal in life was to be recognized as an idol of perfection risk it all by having a child with one who did not share his exact ideology? And furthermore, wouldn’t one with such as “moral high ground” stay with his own child, or at the very least feel guilt for removing himself from his family? I don’t believe there was ever a connection between that man and my mother, perhaps I was a gift from the gods to my mother, someone to be with her while the one who sought so desperately to obey the gods left.
I make it sound like I hate religion, which is odd as I am known as a devout follower of Pridans. I do not hate religion, I pity those who put their gods up high above those down on earth, those around them in this mortal realm. My religion is one of action, for faith without works is dead. I strive to help man ascend to the gods, not to bring the gods down to us.
After returning to Beschwall, my mother and I worked in the fields, it was there she taught me her views on religion, the same principles I follow and teach others today. At 19 I left east for Horizon, my mother could fend for herself now, and I now had an important mission to spread the compassion of Pridans. I was over my head teaching the goodness of Pridans and the greatness of his creations to the Savage tribes. I left defeated, broken mentally after 3 short years of failure after failure.
After a short hiatus in Beschwall and with the Inspiration of my mother I left again, this time matured and focused. I started in the Crownlands, and stayed traveled the continent, staying away for Horizon and St. Jessica. I fared better in the more civilized nations, traveling from one to another often, staying anywhere from six months to two years. I dropped my strict devotion to Pridans, and taught about all the gods, accepting each of them into my life. At 31 I returned home to Beschwall, expecting to find my mother, but she had died years ago to a harsh winter sickness. I did not cry then, for I knew I would see her on the other side again, and she would be proud of me. Stirs and rumors in the street told tales of trouble on the island of Enris, and so I left by boat to see how I could help the people find purpose and direction.
Never did I expect what I would find here.
What is your character’s main goal: Andrew strives to help others, focusing on their problems and dreams, rather than focusing on his own. He takes pleasure in helping all, and feels a deep satisfaction when seeing others succeed. His goal is to lift as many as possible, and ensure they live joyous existences.
Strengths: Andrew is extremely personable, he knows how to make friends and keep them for life. He is slightly stronger than average, but could easily be bested by many others, including blacksmiths, city keep, and dedicated farmers. His devotion to his religion and morals are unshakable. He knows exactly what his ideas of right and wrong are, and will stick with those ideologies devoutly.
Weaknesses: Although Andrew has no major flaws, his strengths are nothing special, a strong dedication and being kindhearted aren’t exactly uncommon. Andrew sometimes wonders if the Gods he worship care for the affairs of this world at all. Although devotedly religious, he has his own interpretations of certain doctrine and this has caused disagreements and problems with religious leaders. He isn’t exactly young and years of exerting himself to his fullest has led to the occasional and inopportune cramping of his whole body, mainly the back and neck.
Bonus Language: Savage: Andrew has noticed that many who speak the language of the outcast perk up when spoken to in their native tongue. His ability to communicate with them in their own language allows a deeper connection and understanding, something that many of these exiles seek after.
Bonus Language from Scholar Trait: Runic: Andrew has learned this dying language in an attempt to preserve its history, translate it into Caro so that the stories and ideas of old are not lost.
Character Traits (up to 7 points worth):
2 Pridans: Love’s Presence (Andrew is a devout follower of Pridans, not much else to it.)
2 Scholar (Andrew studies religious texts as well as educational guides. He loves to make copies of these for those interested in receiving one.)
2 Fleet (Andrew walks at a naturally brisk pace, letting himself stay busy. He constantly helps where needed, spending less time travelling, and more time doing.)
1 Cleanse (As a religious and holy man, Andrew keeps his body clean and purified from vile substances.)
Free Human: Orator (Andrew must speak loudly to congregations gathering anywhere from a massive chapel to a clearing in the middle of the forest.)
Thanks man, its good to see so many new faces among old ones! Silver Age is still my favorite server of all time! Book of Halegron... it was interesting I guess.

Name: Kalios
Age: 93

Character Information

Glad to see that you haven't lost your touch with writing excellent apps! You know where the forums are, we look forward to seeing you on August 15th!
Ok. Thanks for the advice! I made changes. Hopefully these work. Once again, thank you.
