Character Information
Name: Orianna "Madrei" Redlock-Elora
Age: 24 years old.
Race: Half Human, Half Elf
Physical description:
Orianna is six foot one and is slender like most elves. She lacks normal elve traits such as the pointed ears and the delayed aging process. She has fine charcoal black hair with a streak of blonde. Her hair is very wavy in appearance and has a lot volume. She has luscious lips that are peach colored. Her eyes are an Emerald green and her eyelashes are very full. Her face is very round and her cheeks are plump. She has gap in her teeth giving her London Look. Her wardrobe is very uncommon because she dresses very unusually. She is mostly seen wearing a dark red cloak, beige pants cut short and a white puffy short sleeve shirt and a leather waist sincher.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Orianna was born to a loving Elven mother but her Human father was dead by time she was born by old age. She lived with her mother on their family farm in Beschwall but she was too young to tend to it. Her mother slaved many hours a week tending to it trying to make ends meet to support her daughter and keep her land. Orianna did not leave the house much because her mother was scared on how people would react to her being a crossbreed of a forbidden love. Though Orianna did not know why her mother didn't let her leave she listened because her mother had enough stress with tending to the farm. Though her mother came home exhausted day after day she made time to bond with her daughter telling her of a story of an Elf girl who fell in love with a Human boy that had a secret love because their parents did not approve. Orianna would wait all day for her mother to get back so she could hear the story continue with where her mother last left off. As the story began to end as the Human and the elf bought a farm to begin a family her mother began to tear up and cry. She wondered why her mother cried but at the same time was anxious to hear what happened to the couple. Her mother explained that by the time the girl was ready for kids the father had grown old because humans did not age as slow as elves. Though the girl and boy successfully had a baby by the time the child was about to be born the father had died. Her mother grabbed the daughter's shoulder and told her that she was child from the story ending the story.
This shocked Orianna but she just hugged her mom because she had a small grasp on how much she had been through. Days went on as Orianna questioned if she would age like an elf or like a human. If she would die before her mother or be taunted for her being a half elf. One day when Orianna was 7 her mother had come home a wreck crying into her daughter's shoulders. She suddenly began packing a bag and placed various objects in the bag such as a strange dagger of some sorts, some money, food and lastly a note. Her mother had told her that were leaving the farm and going on a trip to a better place. Her mother led her to forest like area and her mother sat her down on a rotted tree stump. Her mother teared up looking at her daughter and she told her that she was going to have to say goodbye because they had no home to go back to. She said they had lost their house and land because they couldn't keep up with payments. The mother had given Orianna the bag and told her she loved Orianna. Orianna cried as she hugged her mother one last time. She watched her mother slowly fade away from her field of vision and Orianna cried.
After hours of thinking she would die in the woods she got up and wandered for ages trying to find her mother who had left her because she couldn't live without her mommy. She stumbled upon a stranger shooting what seemed to be a bow at a target in the woods. The Elven stranger saw her to then consoled her and introduced herself as Allania. The stranger offered her shelter other than her sleeping in the woods because it was getting dark. She stayed with the stranger for a day and then, the stranger offered to bring Orianna home. Orianna cried and said she had no home to go back to because their land was taken away because her mother couldn't keep up with payments. Allania offered for her to stay as long as she wanted. After the third night of staying with Allania and her sister Meriel she had decided to read the note her mother had wrote her. She invited both women to read it with her and it explained why her mother had to leave her daughter because she didn't want her to have to live the beggar life on the streets. Allania hugged Orianna not saying a word.
As the days became months and the months became years Orianna began feeling like she had a home again. She learned the way of selling crops and produced over these years because she felt needed to work for her stay. She learned how to use the dagger her mother had given her from Allania who was always her favorite out of two sisters that she lived with. When Orianna was 22 years old she finally got the realization that she was going to be aging at the speed of a human. Though this didn't bother her she knew it was something Allania and her sister were uneased by. One day when she was still 22 the Elven sister's mother had died leaving the women
torn and distraught but not as torn as when their father had died before Orianna had lived with them.
Two years passed and Orianna was 24 years old when an inflation of savages had occurred in the area making it so the sister could not live in that area anymore. So Orianna her new mother and her aunt all set out to go to Enris in search of a better, safer life. Now this is where the story picks back up as start their new life in Enris.

Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Edward was the only child born to Nathan Teach, only son of a respectably wealthy family of merchants, traders, sailors, and craftsmen in the grand port-city of Concord. His mother died soon died of illness after his birth and Edward was left with only his father to guide him. Nathan Teach worked closely with all merchants both inside and outside the city walls, if there was a shipment coming in he knew what was in it, where it came from and who it was for. By doing this, Edward's father was able to climb the social and political ladder through bribery and blackmail, eventually working closely with the Lord-Mayor, Nicholas Granger himself. Being born to a respected and feared man had its benefits, and Edward grew into a very well-known man with the finest education and apprenticeships that his father could afford or “acquire” for him.
Edward had all he could ever wish for. But as his father always said, “Never be satisfied, satisfaction means that there is nothing to be done.”, and he wanted more, much, much more. He began to leave the wealthy districts of Concord and wandered out into the slums and docks, the common folk gave him queer looks or ignored him, except one man. Drake. Drake came right up to Edward and had a small conversation about some mundane topics, weather, rumors, and who got what job, nothing particularly interesting. The conversation soon ended and the two men parted ways, except one just walked away with a new watch and 50 gold richer.
Despite being robbed, Edward continued going down towards the port, although with a keener eye on his belongings and a small dagger for assurance. This time a young attractive women came and chatted him up. The conversation seemed to be going swimmingly, he made all the right quips and jokes, making her laugh, but then he notices something in the corner of his eye. It was the man from the day before, smiling towards him. Edward turns toward Drake and sees that another man was sneaking up behind him, he draws his dagger. The women and the man scatter like roaches, but not Drake.
“Welcome to the real Concord, boy. Home to more thieves than rats.” Drake said.
“You best wise-up now and stay in your fancy mansion before this city chews you up and shits you out like it does everyone else. There's nothing out here for you, you already have it all.” he continued.
But want is all Edward knew and this could be his one chance, one opportunity, to seize everything he could have ever wanted. Considering this he uttered the words that would change the course of his life,
“Teach me.” the man raised an eyebrow.
Drake taught him all about the dark inner-workings of the city, the techniques, the talk, the people, the women. All that Edward would need to know to make his fortune, the way that real people of Concord made it, by cheating, conniving, and eliminating any and all threats to making the next piece of gold. He began smuggling goods into the city on his father's ships, blackmailing any respected person he could find dirt on and ruining all those that stood in his way, leaving a smoldering path behind him. But eventually he got sloppy, and was finally arrested and put on trial. His social status cushioned his sentence, eternal exile from Enris.
Edward took the remainder of his money and bought his first ship, Endeavor, and sailed for the mainland, making his new wealth the only way he knew how, illegally. Pirating, slaving, smuggling from Mezenia to Bheille. Word had gotten to him that Concord has been destroyed by the undead horde. All those that knew of his past, were dead or scattered to the wind. What better time to come back?
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation):
To continue his previous goals from Concord, accumulate wealth, power, and influence. Inevitably he will want to reach for a political position to further expand his power until he is above all those on Enris.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Edward has been pirating, slaving, and smuggling in Mezenia to Bheille and has picked up his know how to buy and sell goods for profit especially if he is scamming his customer out of a few or a lot of extra coins. Sailing, navigation, and sword-fighting have also all come natural with his life on the high seas, he's kept in shape and is still relatively young so he is quick on his feet.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Edward remains extremely greedy and vain despite the years away from Enris. Captaining his ship and dealing with rowdy and insubordinate pirates has instilled an incredibly hot-temper. He looks down at all elves and savages, he sees them as no better than farm animals from his years of slaving them to Bheille.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish):
On the outside Edward is your typical charismatic man, but within he is looking for a way to exploit his next victim, or find a way to make some more money. He will try to cheat or bribe his way out of any bad situation with no second thought. Ruthless to not only his enemies, but "friends" as well. He trust no one but himself and likes it that way.

Name: Eletha Katyr
Age: 60
Race: Elven
Physical description: Very short for an elf, about 5'5. She is very pale and has wavy, light chestnut hair. Her eyes are soft but warm. She has chubby cheeks, and a round face. She is right handed. She has a little extra weight, weighing about 145 pounds. She always lets her long hair flow freely and does her best to always look inviting. She wears a green blouse with a matching green skirt.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Eletha was born in the province of Rinion to two moderately wealthy parents. Her parents viewed education as the most important thing in their child's life and made sure she did well in school. Eletha herself was never fond of academics and preferred to spend time down at the docks surrounded by all the foreigners. Her parents had her formally study Arturan, which she loved because she could communicate to even more people at the docks. When she was in her 30s she decided she wanted to pick up a trade instead of continuing her studies like her parents desired. She picked smithing after meeting a blacksmith at the docks in her hometown and finding his trade extremely interesting. He would only train her if she left with him, so that night she said goodbye to her parents.and left with the man. She would then spend the next 20 years raining with the man and traveling with his caravans selling their wares. Along her travels she picked up the languages of the savages and of the wild elves, since she did most of her business with them. A few years ago she awoke to find her mentor dead and without anyone to take care of his company it quickly fell apart and she was left without an income or anyone to rely on. She used the last of her money to return to her hometown in Rinion. She was greeted with open arms by both of her parents, who had both accepted their daughter's want to become a blacksmith instead of a scholar like they desired. Her parents then lent her enough money to open a blacksmith in their town, but with all the competition from the traders and the other blacksmiths living in the town she couldn't possibly make a profit. Once both she and her parents realized she could no longer stay in Rinion and be able to make enough money to survive they gave her enough money to start a new life somewhere else. She decided on Enris because it was moderately close to Rinion, and she wanted somewhere where she could still be close to the sea. So she said her final goodbyes and promised to keep in touch with her parents and left to start her adventure in Enris.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): In the short term, she is looking for a safe place to call home and warm meals. In the long term, she wants to become wealthy and find a spouse and have children.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Eletha is a strong willed woman and will finish everything she starts. She is very easy to get along with, and very laid back. She enjoys being around people and willo do anything to help anyone.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): She has no clue how to fight or use any of the weapons she makes in the forge. She has trouble looking at the big picture of things and tends to focus on small details. She tends to be a perfectionist which means her wares tend to take longer to make, but are higher quality. She is not very strong, or very athletic.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): She is calm and very neat, preferring the people around her to be the same. She tends to make decisions based off of emotions.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Savage, Wild Elven, Arturan
Character Traits (up to 7 points worth):

I may have to redo this, I got a bit carried away with the backstory, oh well! Also, I have knack for usually playing younger characters. I'm perfectly fine with doing another Character Sheet obviously, I'm just seeing what sort of boundaries I can work with.

Character Information
Name:
Ylva Blackwood
Age:
14
Race:
Human Norlander
Physical description:
Ylva, even for her age, is a short lass, standing at an exact five feet. Some jest that if she was not clearly human, she would certainly make for a tall Halfman. Her stature is nimble and lanky, almost fitting her ragged, peasantry look, with messy, dark brunette hair matched with stoic, grey eyes. This often gives her the illusion of being a boy, what with her short hair, and those that simply glance at Ylva will often be mistaken in hastily judging her gender. Outside of these observations, her skin tone is to be expected of a Norlander, which is very fair and light-skinned, outside of some grime occasionally masking her face. When it comes to attire, she is rather roguish and uncanny in appearance, wearing a white blouse with leather, grey gloves, tanned trousers, simple boots, and a greyish, thick scarf that could easily be used as a hood if necessary.
Biography:
Tu understand Ylva, one must understand her Father, Rodrick Blackwood.
Rodrick Blackwood was a mighty elder of sixty-four winters, with a thick greying beard and nearly bald head. Having been born underneath a female blacksmith and a fisherman, Rodrick was often ridiculed as a child by the others as generally being a deviant. Norlanders are renowned for embarking onto the high-seas, and having been raised in Frigid Bay, his namesake was often mocked by the more pretentious families as a bunch of "shriveling cowards". Throughout his childhood, Rodrick faced with this constantly, and to this day it reminds him of how much he had grown and how thick his skin had become. Outside of the constant harassing, Rodrick had occasionally dappled into books, becoming inspired at a young age to venture forth in this world.
Eventually, at the humble age of sixteen and having worked in his mother's forge to make a living, Rodrick had saved enough money and supplies to arm himself to serve Confederation Navy, particularly the marines. Swearing his oaths to the Shored Ship, Rodrick set out with axe and shield, spending the next fifteen years of his life away from his homeland, on countless military expeditions throughout the empire. From the Crownlands populated coastlines to the sandy, military ports of Alann, Rodrick's experience within the navy greatly influenced his power and competence for future struggles. There, he would meet one of most trusted of friends and young captain at the time, an Alannian man by the name of Raqir and the love of his life, Eleanor, a fellow crew member hailing from the Crownlands.
After his military campaigns, Rodrick returned back to Norland with Eleanor (much to his family's dismay at their daughter with that "barbarian"), both with the respect of his people and wealth that could last him a lifetime. With a loved-one in his grasp, Rodrick slowly began to settle down by Frigid Bay for another ten years, bearing three sons, all three years within each other: Bjarke, Halvar, and Jerrick. Meanwhile, Raqir, coming up onto an elderly age, had settled near the northern tip of the Crownlands, intent retiring from his military campaigns and beginning to instead help transport Beschwall's food products onto merchant ships to needing places such as Norland or Enris.
However, not at all was right with Rodrick upon his return. On his ventures, he had encountered far too much corruption for his own liking, either within the military or spite against his nationality. Upon returning, he was rarely merry, and quickly shifted to a much grime, darker tone. The Norlander fantasies of old were gone, of brave, courageous men against the chilly winds, their vessels crashing against the unending tides. The countless tales he had read as a child were simply but that, lost legends to be forever forgotten. Spurred by this, Rodrick began to put his wealth not into fancy establishments and trivial possessions, but into swords and boats. He had become disillusioned into Norlander nationalism, the yore of once fearless raiders, so much so that his firstborn, Bjarke, would eventually leave him and almost Eleanor if it wasn't for her existing children. To this day, it is unknown where Bjarke had went, although some rumors floating about suggest he had fashioned an occupation of simply wandering the Confederation.
Starting when he was 40, with his sons nearing their 20s, Rodrick, with his sons, fellow passionate Norlanders, cutthroats, and sellswords banded together to form an unnamed band of raiders and highwaymen fashioned in veins of ancient Norlandish myths. Bearing no official name, authorities and bounty hunters began to jokingly refer to them as "Rodrick's Raiders", and for the first months, the raiders were nothing more than a jest. Fleeing to the wilderness and outskirts of Frigid Bay, they conducted petite raids, numbering only twenty men, most old, or others, like Rodrick's sons, young and inexperienced.
As ten years past, Rodrick's Raiders amazingly begun to gain traction, their numbers steadily increasing over the passing of time. What was once a mere band of twenty men (not including any wives), had evolved into nearly three-hundred men, groups of brigantines and highwaymen swearing fealty to the bandit chieftain of Rodrick Blackwood. Keeping true to the myths, the man held a certain twisted honor to him, so much so that those serving underneath the chieftain occasionally referred to the aging man as their "lord" rather than a boss. He advised those underneath him to never harm women or children, and if they could, only pillage from foreigners, traitors, and those of extreme wealth. In reality, this was loosely followed, unbeknownst to Rodrick, blinded by the illusion of making himself into a legend that would be passed onto for centuries.
At this height of power, many events around Rodrick had begun to plague him. The first of which was the scorching of his manor, and although it had been abandoned for years, the elder knew that the authorities were beginning to rally men against this "Lord of the Old Ways" before he became anymore of a menace. Alongside this, Eleanor, after many stillborns, had given birth miraculously to another child, albeit, at the cost of her life. Taking upon the infant, Rodrick and his sons were dazed with grief, seeing before them a baby girl, a girl not fit for the eventual tides of war.
He named her Ylva.
Ylva's early childhood was hectic, and more often then not, spent in makeshift homes and caves fashioned into some semblance of a home. With Rodrick's forces being more actively prosecuted, the nomadic lifestyle of banditry had evolved to be more frantic. Sometimes Ylva could recall changing "homes" twice, even thrice a week, whether it be abandoned villages or deep, damp, frozen caverns. However, Ylva's living conditions were shockingly adept, even in times of famine, the girl was constantly well-fed and protected, especially by her Father and Jerrick, whom out of the two older brothers she knew Ylva had bonded the closest with. Still, as with almost all Norlanders, Ylva was not exactly some frilly princess, having being taught how to use a sword and shield. Even though she never got her stance with an axe or proper sword, the girl was a natural with a mace and most noteworthy a dagger or shortsword of any sorts, preferring to constantly dodge and attack a foe in a flurry of swings.
Outside of combat training, Ylva held a variety of passions, though the most noteworthy of which being reading. Halvar often regarded this as foolish, even her closest brother Jerrick found it odd, but Rodrick was satisfied that his only daughter was following into his footsteps. Allowing her to read and gather knowledge, Rodrick was busy moving his forces and family further and further east, trying to vainly to deceive authorities that his mighty warband was decaying off by remaining generally inactive. In a way, it worked, however it was no lie, as a good chunk of men left after a few years enduring starvation. In the meanwhile, he was busy trying to contact his old friend Raqir in the Crownlands through usage of letters, pleading for the now aging captain to take his daughter away to Enris before the worst occurred.
Eventually, after a full twenty-five years of forming Rodrick's Raiders, their numbers dwindled only to now two-hundred men, Norlandish authorities gathered a host of six-hundred men to march to the southeastern shoreline of Norland. There, in the woodlands, the remnants of Rodrick's starving forces resided, awaiting the host to arrive. Ylva, on the day of, only eleven at the time, was fastened onto a horse and sent northbound alone. There, after many exchanges between Raqir and his son, the girl would be smuggled onto a wheat ship heading to Enris, one final token of respect and gratitude to a comrade and friend. Ylva, of course, resisted this notion, and Jerrick had made a suggestion that perhaps he should be with her. But, Rodrick, stubborn in his ways, insisted his sons stay, to die alongside him with honor and legacy in their names.
As the horse galloped underneath the last of the Blackwoods, she swore she could hear the echoes of war horns and the smokey sight of burning embers.
From here, Ylva's story has just begun. Having lived in Enris for nearly three years,, she has been a simple peddler and strangler to herself. Homeless, alone, but ambitious, she wanders the streets of marketplaces, having to sell most of her goods long ago. Resorting to fishery, her main source of income is by the docks, mostly clams, fish, and anything else she could find, and the occasionally stolen purse or wallet by some unsuspecting passerby.
What is your character’s main goal?:
To eventually leave Enris with enough proper supplies and find out what had become exactly of her Father and brothers.
Strengths:
As iconic of almost all Norlanders, Ylva is renowned for both her physical and mental endurance. Despite her petite and lanky stature, she can endure the worst of conditions longer than others through sheer determination. Her personality is often reckless and headstrong, which is double-edged sword, as she can either resolve or escalate conflicts easily. Although, do not think that the young girl is stupid, as she has a very keen perception and physically is quite agile. Plus, her young age and youthful face is often a strength in itself, making her more persuasive with those around her.
Weaknesses:
With nimbleness and swiftness comes a lack of actual strength. Being only five foot and rather lanky, Ylva is rather easy to take down in direct combat obviously. It does not help her snappy attitude can often escalate conflicts, and she often can act stupidly at times. Another unfortunate trait is, ironically, sheer cowardice. Unlike her Father, Ylva will often flee a fight she knows she cannot win, preferring to live than have her honor besmirched.
What is your character's personality?:
Independent, fierce, curious, and more for others to find out~

Name: Kalios
Age: 21
Race: Elf
Physical description: A fairly strong 5 foot 5 inches man with pointy ears white hair and red eyes. He is left hand dominant, has pale skin and is 115 lbs.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Kalios was born and raised in the wild where he developed good life skills like how to cut down trees and how to hunt. His brother taught him much of that. When Kalios was training with his bow once, as he let go of the string it whacked him in his arm. Though he could never surpass his brother's strength, he did surpass his intelligence and aim. His brother was the muscle of his household because his father was too old, his mother was feeble, and his sister ran away. Gregavus (Kal's brother) was constantly at work hauling wood and cutting down trees for their log cabin in Atruran where they lived, Kalios helped his brother cut down trees but couldn't carry the logs back. So, during that time, Kalios read books that his father had gotten him from his trips to the city and from his adventures in Enris and made the voices of the characters sound like the people from his life. His father was a soldier for Thaer and was one of the faithful. When Kal was hunting one night he thought he heard footsteps but he presumed he was just tired. Later that night, men came travelling out of the forest the forest where Kal's family lived, they were humans and were fairly well-armed and strong. They were here to burn down and kill the inhabitants of Kal's family's cabin. They didn't say a word they just walked towards Kal's family, drew their swords and charged at them. His father started fending them off as Kalios ran into the house and got his bow and quiver. He slung the quiver on his back and charged out the door. He drew his bow and as he looked down the arrow at the man he was about to kill, he hesitated... is it really worth taking a man's life to stop them from burning down the cabin? After a brief moment he decided yes, it was worth it. So he let the arrow fly. It hit precisely where he wanted it to. In between the man's eyes. First he saw the life drain from the man's now soulless eyes... unblinking, unmoving. Next the man's knees sank to the ground, then his torso. That was the first man Kalios had ever killed and from then on he only killed two more. Both in defense of his home that night. But they only prolonged the inevitable and their home was burned down with his mother still inside (I hope that's not too cliché). Kal and his family all split up that night and never met again...

What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To find his siblings and hunt down the people who burned down the house
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Kalios is a caring person to most and loves to read and hunt, he has gained strength and intelligence because of his experience and he has gone through things some might not even imagine.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Kal has many flaws. Whenever someone mentions a mother he gets frustrated and sad. People don't understand or relate to him so he is cast out from society a bit.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): Kalios now has a burning hate for most humans as he now thinks they are all evil and want to kill him.
Your traits MUST COINCIDE with your character in description and biography. Whitelisters can and will defer apps if your traits do not match your character. New characters begin with 7 trait points, but a final eighth point can be earned in character through training. Some traits such as alchemy and arcane magic can only be obtained in game. You can learn new traits through in-character training at the expense of replacing one of your previously known traits. Some traits cost more than one point, so please ask if you have any questions.
I just want to say right off the bat that this is a fantastic app, but there's one little thing that makes me put off accepting the app more for your benefit. All the Savings trait really does is allow you to pick a better house, which at your character's age, she would be ineligible for. She will live at the orphanage until she is of age (18 is the currently considered "adult" age for humans) or is adopted. I suggest either aging her up or choosing a different trait. Change that and you're all set. EDIT: Sorry, I was a bit mistaken. It does give you more starting gold, but if that's not enough for you, you're welcome to change it. If you want to keep it as such, just say so and this is an accept.
Okay, I've edited Savings out and choose to go with Sneak Attack, with her being a bit of a "rogue" type of character, that seems a bit fitting, especially with the Sneaky II.
Do you wish to join our community Skype chat? If so, what is your Skype username? (This is optional):
Sure. My Skype username is 'delt4v'.
Have you read and agreed to both the rules and the lore of the server?:
Yes.
What is the definition of “Powergaming”?:
Powergaming is usually defined as not allowing other people to react to your character's actions. An example might be "Gary Stu draws his sword and cleaves in the head of John Smith, killing him!" where the proper emote would be "Gary Stu draws his sword and swings it at John Smith's head!"
What is the definition of “Metagaming”?:
Metagaming is using out-of-character knowledge to benefit yourself in-character. An example would be using your knowledge of Minecraft crafting recipes to make yourself a sword even though your character knows nothing about smithing.
What is the definition of “Roleplay”?:
Roleplay is, essentially, 'playing the role' of a fictional character in a game or on a forum.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?:
No one. Well, I guess maybe the admins could use x-ray if they liked, but I doubt that there would be much point.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?:
When the person playing that character gives consent for their character to die.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?:
In the OOC channel, or if you must in local chat then by surrounding it with brackets [[ ]], parenthesis (( )) or something similar.
Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere? (Optional):
I've been roleplaying (badly, at first) in some capacity since I was eight or nine years old, mostly on forums. For the last several years I've been doing Minecraft RP on-and-off (Minecraft RP servers tend to be a gamble as to whether the RP is decent). I think I've played on one or two Silver Gaming servers, though sadly not for any long period of time.
Character Information
Name:
Harek 'One-Eye' Eiriksson
Age:
53
Race:
Human
Physical description:
If there was one word to describe Harek, it might be 'great' -- he stands at well over six feet, with a burly stature and appearance. He is well-muscled and fit despite his age, owing to most of a lifetime of physical exertion. HIs face is weathered and scarred, with a small but bushy beard and a mane of similarly-colored hair. One of his eyes is blinded as a result of a mishap involving an axe to the face, and the skin around said eye still bears a messy jagged scar from the same incident.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
While the people of Norland have ostensibly sworn allegiance to the Cordolan Confederation, and are thus supposedly deterred from the raiding and reaving of their ancestors, the politics of the continent matter little to the people and the traditions of the northern wastes. As such, while the greater powers of Norland have in theory outlawed such practices, these laws are hardly, if ever, enforced. It is one of these more 'traditional' Norlander tribes that Harek Eiriksson was born. The harsh weather and thin soil of the lands which he called home could hardly support the farming of crops, and so from the time Harek could hold an axe he was taught in the intricacies and the art of combat. When he came of age Harek was recruited onto one of several longships, and they set out for the Savage lands to take what they could not grow. Such raids were always quick and messy, filled with the ringing of axe and sword until the surviving Savages fled or the raiders returned to their longboats. These combats were Harek's lifeblood -- he would work himself into a frenzy, more beast than man, striking down any man foolish enough to face him.
And so things continued, until Harek had control of his own longship and crew. All along the eastern coasts men fled their homes at the sight of his sails, and Harek brought back their goods to feed his people. But such things cannot last -- the Savages either fled the coasts or began to put up more of a resistance. This, coupled with Harek's rapidly increasing age, led him to finally sail homeward for the last time and give up his axe. But the Norlanders are nothing if not a hard people, and so Harek was still expected to take up a job to aid the tribe or to starve. He chose the art of blacksmithing, forging arms and armor for his people from bronze and iron. While not so fulfilling as his days raiding, he took satisfaction in the exertion and in knowing his weapons and tools secured his tribe's future.
Alas, the resurgence of undead in Enris, coupled with a series of devastating blizzards, resulted in yet another change of direction. The tribe, ravaged by snow, scattered to the wind and fled south. Harek, reluctant to give up his livelihood but also unwilling to starve or freeze in the unforgiving wastes, traveled to Enris to spend his last years lending hammer and axe to the destruction of the undead scourge.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation):
To combat the recent resurgence of undead on the islands, to do something worthwhile with his last years, and, if possible, to make coin in the process.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):
- Physically powerful
- Skilled with many melee weapons
- Able to work himself into a berserk rage in combat
- Reasonably skilled blacksmith, able to forge and shape most metals
- Little sense of fear
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.):
- Little in the way of formal education
- Hot temper
- Very impulsive and occasionally bull-headed
- Little/no depth perception due to lost eye
- Arrogant, bad at following orders
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish):
Harek could be described as a simple man of simple tastes. There are a few things he enjoys in life: The aching of muscles after a day of work, the adrenaline-rush of close combat, the weight of a helm on his head and an axe in his hand. He holds a certain disdain for the people of other races and cultures, many of whom he regards as cravens or fools as they toil in their fields for what could be taken with strength. He is quick to get angry and slow to forigive, and holds little respect for those he deems unworthy of it (read: anyone who hasn't explicitly proven themselves to him).
One thing that I find strange is that since the advanced versions of many traits cost two more than the basic ones, and you can only increase your maximum points up by one with training, people with basic traits can't become advanced without giving up another trait. Is this intentional?
While a good app overall, your character seems a bit scarce on weaknesses. Maybe throw lack of depth perception in there due to his lost eye, or other raiding-related injuries. Other than that everything looks great. And to answer your question, it is intentional, to prevent too many "great at many things" characters, as if it costed less or was easier to obtain, there'd be little reason to NOT do it. We just wanted more trade-off.
Er, check your traits. Basic Lumberjack costs 3 TP, not 1.
You probably looked at Carpenter by mistake, which mentions Basic Lumberjack as a Prerequisite and costs 1 TP. However, Basic Lumberjack I costs 3 TP. Also, just letting you know that your char is still a child. This isn't your fault, just wanted to let you know since the information isn't on the OP. 1 Elf Year is estimated to be equivalent to 2.5 Elf Years. 21 human years would make your Elf Character only a little over 8 years old, and I don't think that's what you had in mind. Once again, this is not your fault. The only real problem is the traits.
Also, not sure if you're aware of this, but your post seems to have duplicated some of the text bodies in your application. It's probably the forums being derpy. To avoid this, I suggest previewing your posts and editing them if necessary.
Just fix the traits, give your char the Elf Age you want, repost, and you should be good to go! You're THIS close to getting accepted! I believe in you!
It's customary to re-post applications when deferred. It helps reapplications not be overlooked
I'd have reposted it if there had been a lot of replies or time in between the deferral and the editing, but I didn't think it was necessary. Regardless, here it is again, fixed:

Character Information
Name: Jonathan Dar.
Age: 16
Race: Human (Lung Capacity trait.)
Physical description: Jonathan has blue eyes and a slight tan. He has dark brown hair and wears black boots, brown pants and jacket with a red tie. He has his sleeves rolled up and wears black gloves.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here): http://imgur.com/a/UXjEi
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
John was born to Rose and Oscar Dar. He was born in Beschwell into a well off farmer family. He grew up next to his two older sisters and one younger brother. They all worked the farm, but John took much more of an interest in reading and learning in the family study. He didn't get much time out of the fields, but the rare moments he got he would be tucked away in a book, probably about mages or wizards. He loved the books about the adventures of the wize wizards or young, headstrong mages. He grew up on the farm dreaming of the teachers of the divine arts on Enris. His young head was filled with the longing for reading ancient tomes and learning spells and saving damsels and fighting foul beasts and becoming as legendary as Thaer.
As Jonathan got older, he grew to hate the boring old farm. He hated the pigs and cows and crops, but most of all he hated his own blood. He would lock himself away from his siblings and his parents. They tried to get him to socialize, but to no avail. He had no friends, hated his family, but loved his books.
He would hear conversations about his brother being sick, but he paid it no attention. He would hear his family talk about it more, their tones getting more hushed over the weeks. It took his brother dying to get him to open his door of his own free will. He started socialising and working more. There was an air of sadness in the family for some time, but John coming out of his shell dispelled the gloom.
But after a year or so, he got bored again, and word spread to the small farm that the undead menace had returned. It was a hard for him to do, but he made the decision to go to Enris. The dreams of becoming a hero? Of destroying the dastardly evil? It was his time to at least try to fufill them. His family wasn't supportive, but they couldn't do anything. He found out about a boat heading to the isles, and immediatly bought a spot. On his last night at home he sat down for one last dinner, dressed in his best clothes, grabbed some money, hugged every member of his family, and was off to the docks.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): He wants to master the magic arts and become a mage to fight the undead menace.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Jonathan is smart and has good upper body strength from working on the farm. He is a relatively level-headed person and tries to not let his emotions get to him.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): He hasn't really been off of the farm his whole life. He has pretty much no fighting experience except from what he read in his fantasy books. He is very cocky in most aspects of his life, and can sometimes run his mouth a little too much.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): He is a cheery person most of the time, and you will see him more with a smile than a frown. He tries to be oprimistic, but isn't great at it. He just wants to learn.

Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here): http://i.imgur.com/UdBtDUX.png
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To live a life that her mother always wanted her to. That being full of adventure, love and prosperity.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Orianna is decent in hand to hand combat and sure know how to use a dagger. She is very smart and cunning because of lessons the Elven girls had taught her throughout her life. She is a very hard worker and often tries too hard to please people around her. She is also very honest and will most likely always tell the truth.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): She often is very insecure about talking about herself and usually shuts down if someone does. She very gullible and usually ends up believing lies people tell her. She is an easy target to be picked on and taken advantage up. She can also be very impulsive when it comes to protecting people she loves. She can be very anxious at times but usually calms down if she has Allania and Meriel with her.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish):She is very smart and often decides to plan out what she says or does. She very dense when it comes to people flirting with her and it usually takes about 5 dates to realize that she dating someone. She can also be very polite and courteous or be very reckless when she needs to be. She often is very insecure about herself and avoids letting people know about herself which can lead in her being seen as the loner girl.

Character Information
Name: Edward “The Forlorn” Teach
Age: 34
Race: Human
Physical description: Edward is mid-aged man, tanned skin from his time out on the seas, He keeps a short beard and mustache and his hair flows freely in the wind. His eyes are dark and intense. He wears a navy captain's jacket, dark pants help up with a large gold belt buckle and brown leather boots that are significantly worn.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here):

Age: 21

New characters begin with 7 trait points, but a final eighth point can be earned in character through training. Some traits such as alchemy and arcane magic can only be obtained in game.
Ah, thanks ^_^"
Okay, I've edited Savings out and choose to go with Sneak Attack, with her being a bit of a "rogue" type of character, that seems a bit fitting, especially with the Sneaky II.

Sure. My Skype username is 'delt4v'.
Yes.
Powergaming is usually defined as not allowing other people to react to your character's actions. An example might be "Gary Stu draws his sword and cleaves in the head of John Smith, killing him!" where the proper emote would be "Gary Stu draws his sword and swings it at John Smith's head!"
Metagaming is using out-of-character knowledge to benefit yourself in-character. An example would be using your knowledge of Minecraft crafting recipes to make yourself a sword even though your character knows nothing about smithing.
Roleplay is, essentially, 'playing the role' of a fictional character in a game or on a forum.
No one. Well, I guess maybe the admins could use x-ray if they liked, but I doubt that there would be much point.
When the person playing that character gives consent for their character to die.
In the OOC channel, or if you must in local chat then by surrounding it with brackets [[ ]], parenthesis (( )) or something similar.
Harek 'One-Eye' Eiriksson
53
Human
If there was one word to describe Harek, it might be 'great' -- he stands at well over six feet, with a burly stature and appearance. He is well-muscled and fit despite his age, owing to most of a lifetime of physical exertion. HIs face is weathered and scarred, with a small but bushy beard and a mane of similarly-colored hair. One of his eyes is blinded as a result of a mishap involving an axe to the face, and the skin around said eye still bears a messy jagged scar from the same incident.

To combat the recent resurgence of undead on the islands, to do something worthwhile with his last years, and, if possible, to make coin in the process.
- Physically powerful
- Skilled with many melee weapons
- Able to work himself into a berserk rage in combat
- Reasonably skilled blacksmith, able to forge and shape most metals
- Little sense of fear
- Little in the way of formal education
- Hot temper
- Very impulsive and occasionally bull-headed
Harek could be described as a simple man of simple tastes. There are a few things he enjoys in life: The aching of muscles after a day of work, the adrenaline-rush of close combat, the weight of a helm on his head and an axe in his hand. He holds a certain disdain for the people of other races and cultures, many of whom he regards as cravens or fools as they toil in their fields for what could be taken with strength. He is quick to get angry and slow to forigive, and holds little respect for those he deems unworthy of it (read: anyone who hasn't explicitly proven themselves to him).

DeltaV_:
While a good app overall, your character seems a bit scarce on weaknesses. Maybe throw lack of depth perception in there due to his lost eye, or other raiding-related injuries. Other than that everything looks great. And to answer your question, it is intentional, to prevent too many "great at many things" characters, as if it costed less or was easier to obtain, there'd be little reason to NOT do it. We just wanted more trade-off.
Edited my application just a bit.
It's customary to re-post applications when deferred. It helps reapplications not be overlooked

I'd have reposted it if there had been a lot of replies or time in between the deferral and the editing, but I didn't think it was necessary. Regardless, here it is again, fixed:
