Bumping this because I know the pain of a host error
Thanks man, it was fixed, and they were able to work something out for those days. Overall they're great, some fellow minecrafters recommended them, I don't experience any lag, they have good prices and in my case I like the layout of their website and cauldron support (i have a modded server). Thank you Shockbyte, Keep up the good work!
Well, ok.. now that it's being taken care of. I am adjusting my views. Well a tad slow to respond, they least are very willing to help and fix any issues that come up, and are very courteous, despite the fact a customer might be a bit harsh on them. Also, can't beat their low prices.
Same questions i just asked a few josts that replyied to my thread
1) if I buy a service from you guys and it proves to be insufficient or to laggy within the first 24 hours can I refund it?
2) a tricky one to ask but what about node overpopulation? I tried a server company before and I got really bad lag, they moved me to a new node and I was good for a week then it really appeared, learnedlater they were cramming their servers with more virtual machines then was sensible? (tricky to ask as I just have to trust your responses lol)
3) if after the first month I think yep this is for me, is there any deals on paying for a year in advance?
4) is there any time when the service suffers (I once went with omgserv and I found at 2am every night (just when ingesting home from work and want to unwind with a game) the server was beyond unresponsive, seemed to be some sort of backup time for most of the servers
Also do you have eu servers?
1. Yes, if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can claim a full refund within 24 hours.
2. We don't overload any of our servers, so you won't have any issues like this.
3. We can offer a 10% recurring discount if paid annually, you can use the discount code ANNUAL10 to claim this. If you'd like to discuss an alternative discount with us after a month, you can open a ticket on our website.
4. As stated previously, we don't overload our servers, so even during peak times your server will run smoothly.
We do have a Europe location. You can select this as your server location during checkout.
I use one of Shockbytes Obsidian packages for my MMO server, and aside from a few times when bad weather knocked out the node for an hour at most, I have had zero issues, and no lag. An average ping of 80-90.
I also use a version of KCauldron that is not on their server-software list, which was easy to setup.
There is only 1 major annoyance, if you use the server software they provide, it creates a sub-directory for your server, which means you cannot use Multicrafts plugin installation or backup tool without moving some files around. HOWEVER if you run a custom server file like me, it fixes all of that.
Anyway all in all, shockbyte is fantastic, and I've had fewer issues with this host than I did with Beastnode.
shockbyte is the best host that i have ever encountered, the support is very quick compared to other hosts, i have had no problems with my server with shockbyte, shockbyte is very cheap so you wont run out of money to pay for your server and they are reliable, i definitely recommend shockbyte as their servers eliminate lag as i have actually tested it with using tons of tnt the server did not even crash the servers at shackbyte are made of iron.
I have been using this host for about two and a half months now, and I must say that I am very impressed with the hosting provided. I have not had any issues, except for some downtime which was out of their control "*cough* OVH *cough*". I have only received positive feedback from my server community. The control panel is very easy to use, especially after a redesign that was done not too long ago by the Shockbyte team. While their support can be slow at times, it usually never takes longer than an hour or so to get a response. I started out with a 4 GB server, but was able to upgrade to 6 GB with no issues. This cannot be said for my old host, which actually costs more money than these guys. Overall, I feel that switching to these guys was the BEST investment I ever made for my server.
STAY AWAY!!!!! The servers aren't bad. It is just their billing. When you upgrade your service, as I did, it completely messed up the billing. I have been charged multiple times for service that I haven't used. It has been a nightmare trying to get it all sorted out, that has yet to happen after only 1.5 months. I would never let these fools have another dollar of my earned money.

Just open a ticket, we'll sort it out. Normally people just forget to cancel their old automatic payments. Guessing that's what happened in your case?
I am currently with MProHosting and I'm planning on changing my hosting company to Shockbyte. I'm not sure if the customer service is top notch, but the prices blew my mind! $5.00/m for 40 slots? That is what I call a hosting company. What I'm looking for are cheap and reliable hosting companies and Shockbyte might as well deserve the number one place on my white list! I'm looking forward into working with you guys! Also, what I would like to suggest is to order a node from Australia. If you can't, it's all good!
That was quick!
Sorry to sound like a real pain, but would you guys be able to update 1.9 Spigot Build #49 to the newest version? The current one was 55 versions out of date 3 days ago lol, and contains the critical frost walker bug which crashes your server when a frosted ice block melts. This is quite a serious issue for people using 1.9.
Thanks!
The latest Spigot build has been uploaded and will be distributed across all nodes. If it's still not available to you in 24 hours, please open a ticket.

My server is offline and I cant seem to connect to the control panel (server list area) is this a problem on my side or is this shockbyte?
Yes

Nope, once your server is cancelled the files are automatically deleted.
These prices... How do you do it?

I paid my money, got confirmation that it was received and my server status is "Pending".
30 minutes later it was still "Pending". So I sent in a support ticket, got email confirmation that it was received.
That was over 3 hours ago. Still "Pending".
I bought the gold package and waiting over 6 hours please help me get my server
It's possibly a stock issue (will have to look into it further)? We'll get to your ticket soon if we haven't already.
Have been with Shockbyte for a year now! Great host! Staff are great with helping your issues
