I came here looking for shockbyte customer reviews because I was actually notified by a friend about their service, and how it was great and he had no lag whatsoever. So After having shockbyte for about a week (2GB plan). I can safely say that the servers are actually really good....when they work, and most of the time they do, but when they don't you have to rely on customer support.
Based on what I've experienced their support team is the worst support team in the history of Minecraft server hosts that I have been with. They will respond quickly to you within the first 1-3 hours on your first ticket. Anytime after that, any new replies or new tickets can take up to more than 36 hours and counting. The live chat acts like it's a bot system, automated responses for first questions are one thing but, otherwise it doesn't work. If you manage to get an actual representative they are actually quite nice and will help you with any non-technical issues. However, ticket support is horrid, as said response times are extremely low and most responses by the support team aren't even trying to help you, they will just push you off and give bs excuses like (and im paraphrasing here) "Doing that would be impossible, you'll have to do it this way:" despite that thing actually working on other hosting providers and/or your own server. 0/10. (To clarify though, they don't technically lie about 24/7 support, the live chat always responds within minutes. What they need to do however is clarify that the 24/7 support is live-chat only).
Their multicraft is either extremely outdated or extremely limited as it only offers half of what is listed on the multicraft documentation.
Overall I am very disappointed and will probably be looking to switch providers soon because the problem that I have been given has still not been fixed, despite multiple replies in the ticket area and even contacting live chat to help with the ticket thing, bumping it up to "live chat-escalated" status, saying that I should get a reply in little bit, but here I am nearly 6 hours+ and counting, still waiting for a reply.
The service could be made so much better if you were to just focus on your support area. You've got great servers shockbyte, the run well, they do the correct things, there's little to no issue with them. However, what you need to start focusing on is making sure that tickets are responded to within a 24 hour time frame and stop making people wait 1-3 days or 1-3 weeks for a response to their questions, urgent questions that can not be addressed in live chat.
I bought a server recently at 24 Nov in the Singapore Node,when i joined the server i had around 300+ ping so i began to question the live chat is my server really in the Singapore Node.Apparently the Singapore node was full and you know what's worst? They completely did not tell me about that and transfered my server to Australia Node WITHOUT TELLING ME! Superb customer service! Alright now that i know that Singapore node was full so i wasn't that mad because stuff like that happens sometimes. I sent in a ticket regarding my server and requested a transfer to Singapore Node. A support staff told me that my server will be changed to Singapore node soon, but guess what? nothing happened. I lost a lot of players in this few days. All my money, wasted on a server that i ordered Thank you Shock Byte. To all of you forumers please do not use shockbyte.

Exact same thing for me. I got billed for a cancelled service. I filled a refund request and waited 1 month and still not refunded... I filled another ticket and they told me this:
"I've gone ahead and filed your refund request, along with transfer it to our Refunds Department. We ask for your continued patience during this process as we are currently handling a backlog of refund requests, therefore it may take some time for your request to be reviewed and processed."
It was on August 9th, 2018 and still did not get my money back. This is a scam.
I fell for these guys. Ticket support it taking 7 days or more. I just bought another server yesterday *AND* paid the 15$ for extra support and NOTHING. Live chat is COMPLETELY useless as they always tell me "Put in a ticket" even though the tickets on my other server with them go 7 days with no replies.
Hello, My name is jon i've been looking for a server host that fully supports bungeecord. the last host i used was scalacube when someone tried to connect to my server it says connection failed no further information. i would like to know how to fix it when i rent one of your servers.
Instant setup is not true and the chat log with one of the live chat reps to solve my purchasing twice mistake has been unsatisfactory.

Unfortunately, as our service has been insanely popular, we've even exhausted the supply of our providers. That said most clients are getting their servers within 12 hours with all of our customers getting their services within 24.
If you've been waiting over 24 hours or end up waiting longer than that period, let us know in a ticket so that we can look into it for you.

You can submit a cancellation request for your server in the client area under Services > My Services > Select the service you wish to cancel > Request Cancellation.

I didn't think the order went through because I never received a multicraft login (instant setup being advertised)

Complete Trash of a company. No response on tickets. Probably is a criminal network.

Cancellation requests will work automatically and it will cancel the services at the end of the billing cycle.
