Do they offer modpack setup? I want to have server for my friends but none of us know how to add modpacks. I found a host that does offer this service, but they haven't replied to my email or the "24/7" chat support.

We have a few "pre-installed" modpacks available for you to choose from. If the one you're looking for isn't in the list, you can upload it manually and run it utilizing our custom jar option. If you need any assistance with this, you can always contact support.
Is there a way to test a server panel(ftp uploading, configurating, etc)?
PayPal currently allows this on the payment page. It's something like "Pay with debit/credit (without creating an account)". As Spigot 1.9 was recently released, it's been hard to keep up with all the new builds. However we do our best to keep the builds as up to date as possible. A brand new build was actually just added to our jar distribution system and will be available across all nodes shortly. As for testing, we offer a 24 hour refund guarantee so you can test out the service and if you don't like it just request a refund via ticket within 24 hours of your purchase.

Glad to hear we're under consideration! You only need to request (via ticket) custom jars be enabled once per server. We'll then send you some information on how to get started. Our North American location is Montreal, CA (right next to New York). However you can expect a nice connection across the US and even Australia.
So here is my total and honest review of shockbytes service.
I am a repeat customer of shockbyte, ive had a few servers with them over the years i know how they work.
The servers hardware is great, minimal lag but downtimes now and again, they most likely dont have the best datacenter in the world but hey for 2.50 a GB what do you expect? 9/10 on hardware
Support ticket response time....oh boy this is where they really need some help. ive had tickets sit there for a few hours all the way up to a few days... if your looking for a fast response time this probably isnt the host for you. 4/10 on responsetime
Overall customer satisfaction pushing: They are perfect. if youve been waiting for a day or 2 for a response they ALWAYS apologize for the wait and they don't ever clog you up with tons of ticket responses....if you ask for something and give detail. they will fix it in one reply. 10/10 on this one. these guys are very expirienced.
Customizability: again another decent score, after reviewing ALL options of minecraft available these guys have almost all on the list. the only downside here is waiting for a custom jar request. but overall good here 9/10
and finally to rally up the scores and then take a few special thoughts into consideration..... i have to give these guys a 8/10. for being one of the cheapest hosts...they do work hard. and even tho some may think otherwise....they really do work hard to strive for the best. your getting your moneys worth. you dont have to fear that.

I mean come on, three days is more than enough time. This is not the first time I have had issues with their customer service, but I wanted to give them another shot. Guess they still haven't improved.
Update: I have received an update from Dylan Hansch, basically saying to shut up and wait. I think I have been pretty patient waiting three days to get my problem solved. I have never seen such terrible customer service

I understand that it will require someone higher up to authorize, but do they only work one day a week? It has been 4 days! And not only that but the complete lack of communication through the whole ordeal is terrible customer service.
I read on your personal website that since you joined Shockbyte you have been trying to improve their customer service quality and response time, Well this is NOT how you do that.
Shockbyte may have the lowest prices, but it is also the lowest quality customer service. I don't mind paying more for a different server provider with better customer support. I am cancelling my account after they give me the money they owe me, and never coming back again.

Although I havn't bought a server from thease guys, yet, I noticed that alot of people were complaining about their speed of service. I had a few questions myself so I visited their website. It turns out they have a discord chat and its very helpful. I can get responces from the staff almost instantly! They answered my questions and were very kind and patient with me. XD

Where is the discord chat at? I have sent several tickets regarding the modpack setup that I paid an extra $15 for. It's going on 2 weeks and I still don't have my custom modpacks installed. Otherwise, I really do like this host. I just wish I knew exactly what is going on with this addon service.

Thanks so much! I think it was a mix up or something. Someone is helping me now. I am still learning about setting up servers and what not. I have a 15 month old, so I don't get much time to think. lol.
Shockybyte is an excellent host, I was a staff member on a server that was hosted by Shockbyte, and it did not lag that much, surprisingly. I am very impressed with their work.
