hi
i am interested to join red stone development foundation and i wouldnt say im bad with red stone, but im not an expert with it ether. i know how to make beat makers with music blocks and i can build high tnt cannons. I am always keen to learn and do more red stone projects.
Hey guys, I just finished making a 7-segment Minecart display. It was fun making, and I wanted to thanks Whut, Shrogg, and Vx for helping me out :tongue.gif: I'll be sure to post it in the Projects part of RDF. Anyways, good working with you guys!
and @ Berick (if you are over 18, if under, please don't give even a borough) May I inquire as to what part of AK you reside, I'd love to meet fellow Minecraft fans in my home, and only state.
I appreciate a quick response, as most people don't seem to get that the reason I am offering the server is due to not having the time at all.
Sorry you cant use it, but not at all sorry that a clan such as yours already has a strong server.
If you can suggest any clans/servers who deserve a good solid home, I would appreciate it, as I would really hate to be spending this much and having it sit idle (and me without a minecraft community).
If you change your mind soon (er or later), get back to me, I have the topic followed.
For that matter, I used to (again, when I had the free time) run a minecraft giveaway contest of sorts, and I still have 8 Alpha Gift codes left.
If you would like (And I do understand that a clan such as yours involves most everyone having the full game already, but hey, hate to go to waste) to host a good contest for an Alpha Gift Code, I would gladly donate one or more to the cause.
Nevertheless, if anything, I will probably get back in touch with you for a membership after this summer's work season is over and my time is... Mine(craft's).
Peace and here is a toast to you still being around then.
May your clan live for ever, or at least as long as Minecraft itself.
Zdrada: Well done! You're a fast learner. I'll chat some more with you on IRC, but I think you'll do well with us.
Teddydidapoo: Thank you for your interest. Do you have some examples of your work that we can look at?
Paradox: Nice! That's certainly one of the most unique displays I've ever seen. I've added it to the projects thread.
Merlin_Q: Anchorage. And I'm 25, so we might be able to meet over a beer if you're old enough :wink.gif: As for the alpha codes, I know that there are at least a couple of our applicants, and probably a few of our members, that would be interested. We admins will chat about it, and see if we can come up with a good competition for them. Thank you!
CXGamer: 10 tick response time? That's impressive! Added it to the projects thread.

More News:
I've changed the first post a bit. There is a now a "Featured Project", which will be the newest project in the projects thread. Hopefully, this will help provide incentive for you to post your projects. Again, if you do not have access to the Server schematics folder, please PM me with your Dropbox email.
Hey guys I posted a while back about joining but was busy with school and now school is done and I'm done with a random # generator. I'm still interested in joining and would be happy to show you the random # generator.
Hey guys . I would love to join Redstone Development Foundation, although i may have had Minecraft very long (2months~) i really enjoy the variety of creations you can make with redstone. I currently am working on a 4bit ALU with the ability to do additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions as something to start on.
Hope to be able to talk to you all sometime soon
Although I have no say, that sounds very impressive. Do you have any screen shots of your project? Also, how are you doing Multiplication/ division?
Thanks for your interest! :biggrin.gif: I just took these :smile.gif: 4bit calc + decoders MS paint <3, i have looked at the logic gates used to do multiplication with so i can make some kind of circuit for that :smile.gif: but at the minute i dont have a clue how to do division but im sure ill think of something, i only have addition completed so far. I could add a download for the map if you want
Very good- I hope you are accepted :smile.gif: I would like a mop download to play around with, if it isn't too much trouble.
On an unrelated note- I created an ALU that can be copy/ pasted ad infinitium. It does Add, subtract, OR, XOR and AND
I decided to make a 64bit ALU. It is rather... Large (but probably most compact of it's kind). Anyway, the bussing is the real problem- even with WE it takes forever- but I can give you an idea of the scale of this thing-
umm how d ou add picturs onto forums? i vtryed to but i cant seem to find out how it wont let me copy and paste...
Just give a link, that will do. But if you really want to know, there is a button in the full editor 2 left of the emoticon on top. It is so you can insert pictures.
Only members of the RDF can create threads in this subforum, though anyone can reply. This will be a great help in organizing collaborations, community projects, and communications in general.
It is our intent for this to be our new home forum. Though we will not abandon our Minecraftforum threads, I want each of our members to have an account on PIR.
Be advised that the UTD has a similar deal with PIR. Remember that we are on a strict no-contact policy with them. Do not post anything in their subforum, and do not say anything bad about them. If you see any of their members posting derogatory remarks about the RDF, please report them to the PIR moderation staff. Thank you!
Also, if your username on PIR is different than your username here, please let me know so that I can properly assign you to the RDF group. (I've already done that for you vx)
Treesin: Sounds good. Your dropbox invite has been sent, so you should be set.
Brad: I looked around your ALU for a bit, it looks good- not the most compact but very organized. I can't wait to see multiplication and division. Also, I LOVE your display. It is so tidy and readable. I may just have to steal that one day :tongue.gif:

I like big buses and I cannot lie
EDIT: Unofficial name is the centipede (because of the way it looks)- thoughts?

Teddydidapoo: You have to upload the images to an image hosting site like Imgur, then link them in your post via the [img] tag.
BradXD: Impressive! I'm looking forward to chatting with you on IRC so we can begin your recruitment process.
Treesin: That's huge! I hope you post The Centipede on Planet Minecraft. It would be a great addition to our projects list :smile.gif:

Important Announcement
I was recently contacted by NZPhoenix of The Phoenix Institute of Research. In return for helping moderate and promote this new organization, he has been kind enough to give us our own sub-forum specifically for the RDF!
Only members of the RDF can create threads in this subforum, though anyone can reply. This will be a great help in organizing collaborations, community projects, and communications in general.

If you see any of their members posting derogatory remarks about the RDF, please report them to the PIR moderation staff. Thank you!
Of course I will post it to Planet minecraft when I'm done. I sent you an email and I downloaded dropbox, is there anything else I should do?
Also, if your username on PIR is different than your username here, please let me know so that I can properly assign you to the RDF group. (I've already done that for you vx)
Treesin: Sounds good. Your dropbox invite has been sent, so you should be set.
[edit] it is a little bit buggy in the redstone sim and i am trying to find a fix right now.
