i dont know for allying just yet, first ill go solo for awhile and then if others want to ally ill do it, because ill have to get a feel of the server :biggrin.gif:. i think if this is a roleplay. admin should have a forum post on this site where people will introduce there class and how they play, then guilds can be formed on the forums and then alliances can be made
Umm... Is it just me or does the neutral nation/city sound a little unfair? The neutral people can join in on a raid, but not deal with any conflict/return raids after wards? If that's true then f*ck the light kingdom I'll rather loot and not be attacked.<- That's Boring!!!
To me neutral means not included, but still there, if that makes any sense. I'm not saying once you go neutral you stay neutral, but maybe their should be a time limit or currency charge for changing between neutral to another kingdom. That should be only for neutral though, I don't think letting people just flip kingdoms is a good idea. Once you get into light or fire kingdom you must stay their, that's just me. I know that sounds harsh, but really it just means if you don't like the way your nation is going take action! Nothing is set in stone. This brings me to the idea of different religions(lore) in the server. Users can create and join their own religions. This will prompt creativity.
@LaZyy to me it sound like you find the fire kingdom on the dark side of things, and the light kingdom are the good guys. My question is Why? Once in the server things should unfold by themselves. There shouldn't be a good or bad side at all in my opinion. Each kingdom should just fight for what they think is right and benefits them. And maybe the kingdoms won't have to fight at all! What would be awesome is if all attacks were justified. Not just constant "I raid because I'm bored."

Minecraft in a Nutshell.
The chickens are spies, the pigs are retarded, and the sheep are suicidal.

You bring up good points, but everything said by the users are suggestions. Nothing is set in stone yet and were are still planning on how everything will work. Thanks for bringing this up though, we will look into it. :smile.gif:
Ok how much are you going to pay for a dedicated server? didn't know if you found a cheap one.
Dedicated means it's being hosted on my computer.
Wow, I'm an idiot. It's being hosted on my computer but not dedicated.

as i said neutrals are minimum look at the player cap 7-8 merchants/neutral is small if your talking about a kingdom that will have more structure.
its my lore and is evil are dominating which means winning, Fire usually means a chaotic element that causes destruction and really i dont care if hell is bad and holy is good because if i would of said fire was the good portion and they had rights, more people will go WTF. its like Religion vs Religion i know that its weird how fire is bad and light is good, but im trying to base this off of my lore, so deal with it. if you going to say they both have great ideas in beliefs then people wont fight as much and more of a alliance. you want a evil and good which is a basic lore which will create hate for others.
neutrals are not really going to be hostile in my case assassins and thieves are different. i say merchants work with other kingdoms if they have to, which will result in a deed. and then well i think being a part of the kingdom would be much easier because they can ALLY with them and really kingdoms are going to have a higher cap or players so if they do anything really suspicious, a kingdom can just crush them. merchants sell and fight for kingdom reasons. if merchants are going to go all out and kill everyone, there not merchants, there called bandits or rebels. thats when guilds come in and merchants can join a guild in the neutral town and usually the guilds are going to most likely be certain mining material and if the merchants do have a fighting guild, then the kingdom can go take a look, and since MERCHANTS HAVE A SMALLER PLAYER CAP they'll break easily and the town is smaller. if merchants are going to go off and do watever then theres no point in Roleplaying, just call them nomads then if they go off solo. Merchants sell and fight (they can really do any damage if they ally with someone). thats when kingdoms will have a deeds battle and get the highest player cap.
i think its not balanced really, its only 2-3 guys that really want to be nomads
and really its called roleplay because servers that say do anything you want and become neutral, those servers die very fast and believe me ive been in shitty RP servers.
RP is usually a set of rules you must follow, you cant say well im light and im just going to do nothing but mine until the raid. you are set on quest to kill unholy or a bad set of MERCHANTS.the neutral zone has the smallest town block x block radius so that means shittier defense and less of a community. if a kingdom has a higher block x block which it most likely does, that means the better defense, higher community and then you have to take in consideration that some merchants are working with the kingdoms so the neutral zone because smaller and then assassins are light, fire, neutral so really that depends on who wants to become hitman.
That should be only for neutral though, I don't think letting people just flip kingdoms is a good idea. Once you get into light or fire kingdom you must stay their, that's just me- what you said
merchants have the choice to officially move to the kingdom or stay OUTSIDE of the kingdom which means there not working. if you are in the kingdom YOU STAY! unless rules are broken. it depends on the kings rules. like i said in my description
then you think raiding because im bored. well that would be boring if people just sat there trading with each other. i think action in the server brings stress to kingdoms which would to me is how RP factions should be. Merchants are the only alliance exception in my opinion, you say that my points are dumb when really they are just a suggestion thats looking towards action RP. if this server is going to be a lets all trade in peace between opposing forces, then ill leave this server fast.
I think that Neutral Characters should be what their view of neutral is, for example, my character is neutral in the fact that she doesn't involve herself in any wars or battles, unless it's a personal grudge or she or a friend of hers is attacked personally. (e.x. Someone griefs her house, if she knows who it is, she will go after them, but them only.) She will trade with both kingdoms, but only for survival things, like pickaxes and armor. Maybe she would mine things occasionally but she would most likely build her house of wood, glass, and stone, then keep all valuables on her person. Someone else, on the other hand, would be a neutral thief or trouble-maker who temporarily joins whichever side pays them more or has a better chance of winning. Maybe NCs who share similar views about their neutrality can join up, but I think that's something that should be left to happen by itself.
For religions and such I think there should be 4-5 pre-set ones then other miscellaneous gods can be created by the users and they can crate temples for their god.
I think gold should be the currency because if you put a gold block into a workbench it will give you all 9 back, as long as you don't take the gold out of your inventory and set it down or whatever.
And as for skins just let the people have whatever clothes they want, in a realistic city there would be variations of clothing in both cities. Yes, some might look the same but putting a tag around your neck saying "Hey I'm from the other side" is kinda weird. What if someone who was a peaceful Fire Kingdom commoner or miner got lost and all they wanted was to get back? Unless the person is wielding a sword and threatening you don't kill them. The quarrels of the kingdoms should happen naturally and not be forced by saying "The kingdoms were enemies from the start." Give peace a chance! *hippie*

Oh I said neutral should always be able to be raided unless there the traders.
My character isn't a trader but I really don't want her attacked, is that really fair?
People who thought yours and mine suggestions were the same are kinda dumb if they should blame people for things blame them and they should read the whole thing like lazzy I like your ideas there great and there only SUGGESTIONS people so leave him alone at least hes contributing. Keep it up Lazzy
Me and CirChris will look through all of them carefully and see which ones we will implement to the game.
Notch has fixed the problems with lag and disconnections so we are able to work on the world more again.
For those of you are are asking for the IP, the server has NOT been released yet!
As stated in the news section, I am planning on a Sunday release, but it all depends on how well I can organize information.
I am currently NOT on christmas break, that starts for me this Friday the 24th. When that time comes around I will be very active! :smile.gif:
Hold off on the suggestions, haha. Were just trying to get the basics down so we can get started on this as quickly as possible.
I thank you all for your cooperation and patience. Hang tight! I have high hopes for this server, hopefully you do too.
Let's make this the best Role-Playing server yet!
*EDIT*

sorry that i tried to make a better server guys
also i would like to join the light kingdom as my final choice if bounty hunter isnt available as a rank
another sugustion
maby a third clan to fight because in past servers i found that 3 clans make better fights (or better trading networks for da hippies)
