So I have a server hosted by MCPH. It will be made public in the future after I fix a lot of stuff and try to make most things anti-grief, etc. (It's private to me and my friends and whitelisted now).
It's one of those servers where you spawn in the "Hub" and there's portals to get to different gamemodes.
My friend told me he was the owner of a survival server before and it was fairly popular, with usually 20 people on most of the time. Even though he was able to stop it, he said there were always a lot of people who tried to hack (I don't know if he meant in-game or in the console or both).
He said there's a lot of hackers, especially if you have a fun server.
I'm pretty sure he wasn't lying about his server, because he said so much stuff I really doubt he could make up that much, and he doesn't usually lie to people.
Anyway, I was just wondering if there are that many people who try to hack.
If so, how do I stop it?
My server's Bukkit, so I have WorldGuard and NoCheatPlus, but will that be enough?
I know pretty much nothing is impossible to hack, but if I get griefed I will have back-up files of the worlds, etc.
Any other tips?
I just read about some crazy dude who went on this guy's server and pretty much hacked everything, now I'm not saying all of that is true, but it still creeps me out a little bit sometimes.
I will have my friends be like, Moderators and stuff, so it does give me a little more hope.
Thank you for reading!

NoCheatPlus blocks a majority of hacks used by players, so you should be fine. The only hacks that you really can't stop are X-Ray and Freecam. Freecam is not a huge problem, but X-Ray is. Other than that, you should be fine.
I would also suggest that you install CoreProtect so that in the case that your server gets griefed, you can find out who did it and rollback all the damage they did.

You would be surprised how easily you can get past Orebfuscator, not to mention that it's also a resource hog.
