Running a local SMP 1.2_2 beta server with just two clients. One on the server machine and one a few feet away and I am running into some issues that while not game breaking are bothersome.
1) Odd issue where some Creepers will explode with out its Hiss.
2) Mob Clipping through ground most notably spiders seem to be doing this.
3) Mobs unhittable through some defenses.
The ditch goes around the outside of the stone wall and in inside there is a opening so that you can walk between stone pillars and there is a one block opening that lets you attack the zombies legs with out much chance of him getting you unless you get to close. This layout works perfect in Single player but on the server the mob can not be damaged. but he can hurt you. Also animals like cows and pigs you can attack from this same defense and kill them normally. So I have no idea why the mobs are becoming unhittable.

4) I believe this is related to 3. Sometimes if your close to a mob but protected by a block if you stand there long enough even if the mob has not way to reach you you will randomly take several hears worth of damage. I've seen this happen with Zombies with a block between me and them. I've had it happen once through a sealed glass wall.
