the ps3 suggestion thread i had saved to favs gives error 404
what im on about is the abilty to set world spawn in survival for trophy worlds since host privlages removes trophys on ps3 so for example x 50 z 240 or what ever players want
"trophy worlds"? What the heck is that? Did you make it up or is console edition even worse than I know so far?
If the worlds are still 1000x1000, then you're probably playing a pretty old version. Try connecting your console to the internet and installing updates.
If your bookmark is broken, use the search on the forum or just Google. In any case, this is not the place for suggestions for console edition.
This is a bit controversial, but I'd like to see what people think of this:
Every now and then while in the Nether, one might see a strange figure in the far distance. If you look at it for a while, it will turn and reveal itself to be none other than Herobrine. Herobrine would stare at you relentlessly, but not moving. If you move towards him, he move farther and farther away. If you look away from him, he may disappear altogether. You would constantly be on edge, wondering if Herobrine is about to strike you from behind.
But in reality, Herobrine wasn't there at all. It was all an illusion, run from the client (not server). It's a little easter egg that would go a long way adding to the Nether's creepiness. It would also scare a lot of younger players unaware of "Herobrine" 's true nature. Lastly it would strike a fair balance between pro-herobrine and anti-herobrine players. Mojang could stick with "removed herobrine" because technically Herobrine was never added. It and any other illusions could be disabled through /gamerule doIllusions false
What are your thoughts? I know Herobrine suggestions are commonly hated upon, but I think this brings something much different to the table.
There has been multiple official statements by Notch and current Minecraft developers that Herobrine was never and will never be in the game.
would it be possible to allow players to set he worlds spawn spot when making a new world but only for the center of the world you know starter map between x500 to x -500 and z 500 to z-500 i think thats the size of center map im not sure but it would be nice to allow placement of a worlds spawn to make custom map type of things
Could you please try to sort your thoughts before you dump them into a comment? I don't understand at all what you're suggesting.
You seem to be talking about the command /setworldspawn, but that's not a suggestion, it's already in the game.
Also maybe you're talking about the spawn chunks, but they aren't 1000x1000 around 0 0, but roughly 256x256 around the spawn point. Also this is still not a suggestion, I don't know what else you're talking about.
There should be a way to disable creepers from leaving behind a lingering cloud when it explodes. It causes problems when mapmakers give potion effects (with very long durations) as buffs for creepers, and players get that very long buff after it explodes.
As long as you don't give details, that's not a suggestion, but whining. Also: No, this game is not about weapons. You probably mean firearms, that would go against the medieval/fantasy theme of Minecraft.
I apparently forgotten about the bows existence during writing that post.
And yes, it is a restriction. Like you said, the bow looks weird. You cannot use a bow physically with one hand, unless you use your teeth in the process, which I don't think would turn out very well.
There are people who can use bows with one hand and one foot and they can actually hit their target. But I don't want that in Minecraft, either.
Some operations should require both hands to be free.
Because you realistically can't use Flint & Steel with one hand. I know Minecraft really isn't a game for realistic stuff, but it would make much more sense to have Flint & Steel be a 2 handed operation. Maybe even throw in fishing to require two hands, since you need to reel in and hold the pole too.
Just, some actions for certain tools need to have a 2 handed only operation, or possible just a 2 handed operation that you can do. Such as holding an axe, pickaxe, sword, shovel, etc, these things can be held and used with only one hand or two. Two hands will help with damage, and speed, while one hand will help with usability (because you can use the tool with something in the offhand). These two handed operations will only work with the offhand slot empty.
Interesting that you didn't mention bow and arrow as the first example. It already looks weird when the character sticks his offhand item through the bow.
Personally I wouldn't want this restriction. I love how convenient the controls got in 1.9 and this would add more item switching again.
Okay, a small, but useful suggestion: change the color of the Cartographer's robes to a color not yet used. I personally find it annoying that I cannot tell the difference between a Librarian and a Cartographer villager as both are useful in different ways.
I think in general the "profession" and "career" could be merged and they could all get different colours. If you just randomly approach villagers, nothing will change, except that they have more colours in their coats, which is good. And if you look for specific villagers, you can do that faster, you can do filter them as babies, you can find a villager that ran away faster and overall it looks better.
It would really be cool if minecart tracks could be laid right through a nether portal so you could hop into a minecart, take it to the nether, through the nether to another portal, and ride it right out into the overworld at your destination.
Or just have portals teleport entities in minecarts instantly and keeping their momentum, so that you can get on the other track in the nether with the remaining momentum, if you were fast enough before entering the portal. This would avoid combined blocks and maybe give some weird opportunities for speedruns.
currently, it is not possible to go into the nether on the back of his horse. The only way to go is to draw him with the leash, and once he reaches the other side, he slips between the blocks of obsidian at the risk of losing him.
it would be well to settle this little detail.
The bug report about this (bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-67) got marked as "works as intended", which in this case means "won't fix". So: Sorry, but but happen anytime soon.
I would love to see a way to set more always-loaded chunks, and also allow setblock, fill and other commands work in unloaded chunks by simply loading them up, placing the blocks or excecuting the commands, and then unloading them again. This would help mapmakers out incredibly.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure this feature is in the pocket edition, or is coming to it, so hopefully we can have this for PC soon.
That would actually be really great. And big explosions can already load chunks, so this should also be made possible in my opinion. Also: Easy chunk loader: ", courier, monospace">/testforblock 12345 0 12345 bedrock in a repeating command block.
A new selector, @re which would target a random entity (hence the @r which is normally random player, and the @e which is all entities). I would find this very useful, especially in creating a true randomizer.
1) Caffeine is a drug - coffee is not. Caffeine is also not as harmul as drugs like cocaine, heroin etc. 2. Yes, it is. 3. No, it's not. Nobody forces you to play the game. You also said it's a kids game - don't you think it's a bit irresponsible to let a kid play a game with "drugs"?
1. Ok, if you want to be that exact, yes. But coffee contains caffeine in most cases. 3.1 Still, no valid argument. You can't just add something and say "if you don't like it, don't play it", because I liked it before. 3.2 I did not say it's a kids game. 3.3 What? Now you're suddenly agreeing with me?
