The idea is add a new arrow type that would cause 1-2 health points (half heart to heart) of damage more than common arrows; not only this, this type of arrow will ignore at least the 60% of armor protection resistance to damage; and would be capable to go through mobs, causing damage to multiple mobs if they are aligned with the arrow trajectory (however it will cause 30~40% less damage to the second mob, and less yet to the third mob, etc).
Gold-tipped arrows would be crafted with the recipe of classical arrow, althought using a gold ingot instead of flint, or otherwise surrounding a common arrow with 8 gold nuggets.
This type of arrow (slightly more harmful, capable to ignore part of armor protection, and capable to go through mobs and cause damage to multiple of these) would not be affected by the most part of enchantments (like potion-tipped and spectral arrows).
This is a pretty interesting idea, I definitely suggest making a thread for this idea, because it's well balanced and adds a more effective use for Gold.
But a small possibility for balancing it, seeing how it's more effective and cheaper than tipped arrows and normal arrows, should it be able to only stack up to 16 instead of 64?
Sup, I was wondering if you can add some more weapons to the game (ex. Balkon's weapon mod, not all of it just the one that gives a medieval feel to the game to spice things up.) and new ores for tools and armor (ex. Metallurgy mod, not all of them as well just the essentials.) hope to see it in the future versions because "I LOVE MINECRAFT". tnx
You seem to be new here, I'll clear up a common thing that's usually mistaken here, which is that Mojang team members rarely ever visit the forums and view the suggestions here.
As for your suggestion, I'm for more variety, so long as it's fitting, original, useful to the player, and not redundant.
Simply bringing down an idea by mentioning a Mod that already adds something similar to this isn't really a reason to bring down an idea for.
For the idea, there is already quite a variety of crops already, ranging from Wheat, Sugar Cane, Melon, Pumpkins, Carrots, Potatoes, Beetroot, and maybe more if I forgot some. More food items isn't also necessary, because we already have tons of food items and a variety of ways to obtain them.
With this point of view we can say what is the point of the wither when we have the ender dragon, the guard profession will make protecting villages against zombie sieges easier and they will enchant the gameplay.
That analogy was a terrible comparison between a Guard Profession and Iron Golems. For starters, these are different cases, the wither and Ender Dragon are BOSSES not professions, items, mobs, or etc. They exist to add a certain challenge and to gather a special material to craft rare items or discover new areas.
The Iron Golem is pretty tough to begin with, but if we want to improve village defence, simply adding in a new mob doesn't solve anything, especially when it's redundant and unnecessary. The main problem is with their AI, and a lot of people have issues with Villagers struggling to get inside a building, or Iron Golems using terrible methods to get their way toward a hostile mob. Also, having Iron Golems spawn a little bit more commonly would add more to that defence.
(You already have a wall and great defiance from mobs, You don't have Emerald Blocks, Blacksmiths have 1 chest while Castles have 1 for each Tower and you have about 7-8 Mob_Spawners. Villages do not have these )
I'm completely confused by this statement, because you're pointing out the differences in a way that makes it seem that Castles are already implemented in the game. Emerald blocks? What do you mean by "You don't have them"? Both, Castles and Villages, have a kind of defence against mobs. They both contain chests with treasures that the player can take. And finally, why would mob spawners spawn in these Castles? Would they even spawn hostile or passive mobs? Even then, that's way too OP to have them lying around on the surface of the world, because they would be easier to grind.
I have a personal idea for castles. but their are just so many ways that castles could be added to VMC as well as WHY.
Do feel free to share, if we have, even a small, insignificant idea of it, we could be able to develop this idea furthur.
Castles would be great for shelter (After you've got all the Mob_Spawners and lit the place up a bit). the Castles Could be like small hard challenges for anyone who might like to play castle defenders. (Castles would occurs have to be rare (which would make finding them even more EXITING!))
(And I've heard people say that Castles would be too big to be added to VMC, but I made One that's 65x65 blocks wide and I'm making smaller ones every day)
Again, that's not really much different from Villages. Hordes can spawn near villages it, and the player is expected to fight them off to defend the village. It's practically the same concept as it.
Would be cool, so long as the game is capable of recognizing a river or body of water, and be able to perfectly place a Dock and not screw it up like it normally does when it places a House on a hill/short mountain.
Seconds. (Emphasis on the pluralization.) You can mine out a 5x5x5 of stone in under a second with Efficiency V and Haste II. This would be more useful for building than cutting down trees, but insta-mining stone is still more important than wood imho.
Was that the case? I was commenting on the matter of how some people wanting to implement a method to insta-mine wood. I just gave my two cents, explaining about how using an expensive tier and Efficency enchantments, would be almost as fast as insta-mining it.
yeah but you still can't insta mine wood which is my problem in the first place XD (even with eff V diamond axe with haste II you still can't insta mine, which is crazy)
It still has incredible speed that you can almost call it insta-mining. Wood is much easier to break that Stone, and using an axe that's made of Iron or Diamond can break Wood in just 0.4 seconds. Chopping down one tree won't even take you 10 seconds, let alone 5.
Why not? Insta mining helps a ton. It makes digging huge holes go by much faster, or it can just be nice to have the extra mining speed when you're around your base. It makes no sense to me why stone can be insta-mined but not wood.
I'm for the idea, but isn't it already possible if you use an Axe of a tier Iron or higher? You can cut down a single tree in seconds just by using an Iron Axe.
Don't get me started if you use an enchanted Diamond Axe.
(Also, for example digging out this whole without insta-mining would have taken forever:)
