I highly doubt that we'll see it in June. I'll bet the Minecraft movie will be CGI animated, like Cars or Wall-E. A good CGI movie usually takes 3-7 years to make. We may see it in 2015, depending on when production of the movie started. If they just now started, we probably won't see it until 2017.
PS: Welcome to Minecraft Forums.
I remember seeing the preview for Cars in theaters and I was excited for it, I was a kid then, really young. It seemed like it took a year or 2 after I saw the preview for it to come out. I would want it to be CGI, maybe used facial recognition and software like in Avatar to have the characters be animated, make it easier.
Honestly, the best plot I can think of this, and it's actually a pretty good idea for a plot, is this: The top secret government agency, a.k.a FishSpider Industries (sort of an easter egg to RageGaming, and you don't really need to watch RageGaming to know too much about it) was working on a project, the project's name was Project H, where they were working on Steve, giving him abilities that surpassed any human. What Steve had done was sent the world into chaos, escaping FishSpider Industries and transforming other humans into mutated creatures, which can explain the presence of the mobs. Cities were destroyed all of this, and only a few survivors remain, and the main character has to group with these survivors and hunt down Project H and kill him. Their journey takes them all over creation, reaching the abandoned FishSpider Industries building where Project H has taken refuge. There they have to face him and defeat him.
only thing about MGS 3 all the cut scenes which are arguably the best thing about mgs are 5 hours long in total
That is true, however they could do areas where they try and cut out certain parts of the dialogue, or even make it into parts like with The Hobbit. The book is genuinely long, and Peter Jackson found a good way to make 1 book into a trilogy, and so far, from the past 2 Hobbit movies, he has a pretty fine job of it. So, if they were gonna make Metal Gear Solid into a movie, atleast make it like a trilogy for 1 game, I think it would work.
quite honestly video games should not be made into movies, there are some exceptions....
Metal Gear Solid 3
Any of the Duke Nuke Em's
Resident Evil already is a movie.
Fallout 3 would make a good movie
Not sure if Tomb Raider was made into a movie
you get the point.
Tomb Raider was made into a movie already.
I agree with Metal Gear being a movie, that would be good.
Fallout, again, I agree.
Duke Nuke 'Em, just no. I could not see that.
Resident Evil also has been made into movies, quite a big series actually, I never liked it.
I do have some to add to this list
Prototype 1 and 2
Need For Speed, which i'm glad that they are doing.
Assassin's Creed, again, glad they are doing.
However, I do agree some games should never be made into movies, trying to take a 5 to 10 hour game and cramming it into 2 hours is a terrible idea, however some games can be movies, and as I have stated, if, and only if, they get the right story and the right cast, then it would be good. 1 wrong step, and this movie will be terrible.
Exactly! They must find another story....If its animated and the point is EXACTLY the same, I will show up at the cinema watching another movie..
I agree, they need a good plot that they can work with. With LEGO movie, they took something that really was something you build with, and then they made it into a very good movie. If they can find something, ANYTHING, that can work with this, then maybe i'll see it. I think they should go along a bit with LEGO Movie, like create their own worlds and such, like cities and everything, and maybe do some like post apocalyptic thing. That would probably be pretty good, and the main character has to team up with other survivors. Honestly, I don't want the EnderDragon or the Wither as the main enemy, I think we all should agree that the main antagonist HAS to be Herobrine.
building the map is actually a great idea. As for the youtubers, NO! }:-( We don't need a bunch of people that are already famous enough. If they are put in though, have them be just cameos in the backround. We don't need them stealing the spotlight.
I agree with this really, don't bring in Youtubers as main characters, maybe have them have small parts in it, but not whole main characters. Like with LEGO movie, they didn't use popular characters like Superman and Batman as the main characters, they used only one, and the rest of the main characters were original characters. I think if they had one famous Youtuber as a main character, and hint towards some of the other ones in the movie, then I think it would be good.
Frankly, I love Minecraft with all my heart, but I can't try hard enough to imagine a good story. I love the game, and maybe there is something that maybe i'm not thinking of, but I can't imagine a good story that could get this movie huge. I mean, giving it into the hands of Warner Bros. and the LEGO movie crew, I bet they could get something. Frankly, I would want to see a regular Minecraft movie where Steve is the main character, and most of the other characters only be villagers, and have him go up and defeat the Ender Dragon, that is the only story I think could work for this. Maybe they could find something better, but I just couldn't see the MC movie having any other story but that.
