Love the info in this, though had a question. I prefer survival mode to creative, but find that it's sometimes easier to build with the peaceful setting on. With that said, will wolves and the cats still spawn, or do I have to keep it on easy or higher for that. I've been on several seeds now looking, and have only found wolves once, and it was on normal mode. Thanks for any help!
In peaceful mode, only hostile mobs stop spawning (except the ender dragon), so wolves and ocelots/cats should still spawn. For the list of hostile mobs, see here:
I wish this could have helped me know what the F3 button does, but it is a good guide.
The f3 button displays information such as your coordinate and the direction you are facing. It also tells you what biome you are currently standing in and the light level of the block you're standing on. (That's the bl number below the coordinates.) The pie chart tells you how much computing power is being used to play minecraft.
Does anybody know how the new style of maps work? The map i made was empty at first, then it filled up with a very small area, 16 chunks or something. How do i zoom out or do i have to make a bunch of maps for exploring different areas of my world? someone please help??? im new to pc minecraft but played alot of xbox minecraft so im a little out of my league
The maps always start out empty and then fill as you explore. I currently forget how to zoom out, but the wiki should tell you. Just click the wiki tab at the top of the page. Because maps only show a limited area, you will need to make multiple maps. You also have to make them in separate areas, or else they'll all show the same place.
i think he has FTB installed and thats not vanilla meinkrampft
It's probably part of a plug-in then. A search on the wiki turns up nothing. For future questions about items, try the wiki first. Often you can find things a lot faster than posting on the forums. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki
Started a Survival challenge. Here are my issues: Cannot find any coal or Animal (Food) mobs?!
Keep digging for that coal. It's incredibly common. If you still can't find any, smelt a log in a furnace to get charcoal. To get food, you can always break the tall grass to find seeds. Growing wheat takes longer than finding meat, but seeds are usually easy to find. Breaking oak leaves will also leave an apple occasionally. Hope I helped!
Yes that was the problem, thanks
So i have got new question, hope you will understand it
I have been playing minecraft since it was alpha and problem now is this http://shrani.si/f/2...12-09124323.png
Since i play minecraft in survival mode and i have build a lot of cool stuff in my map, this bothers me very much. New biomes to explore, villages and that kind of stuff is very cool but its to far from my spawn point and if i build something that far well it just doesnt look good. So is there any program, that would allow me to kind of copy/paste part of my map into new one? All buildings that i have build and all the stuff that i have in one new map, is this possible?
I have never tried to do such a thing, so I don't know. I would suggest asking in another part of the forum for help.
Hi i have one problem
I didn't play minecraft for around 8 months now, before that i build very large monster spawner (). And i decided to play it again but now that monster spawner doesn't spawn any monsters. Can someone explain me why?
If you don't know how to check, got to all programs, accessories, system tools, system information, assuming you're running windows. I don't know how to check if you're using a mac, but google can help with that.
