Heh - outside of Entomology and Minecraft no-one actually cares, and until the dictionarys are "updated" I will continue to feel smugly superior when I hear the incorrect pronunciation

as does the entry in the Oxford Dictionary picture below. It's true that more people pronounce it e-lie-tra - doesn't make it correct
Interesting to note that the correct pronunciation is e-lit-tra not the more commonly used e-lie-tra The y should make the same hard sound as an i as in kit, lid, fill or bin.
