I spent a week putting together an x256 texture pack mix for 1.5.1, and now it turns out that the resolution is a bit too high for my other PC. So I’m looking for a way to convert the x256 texture pack to x64.
Yes most of the original authors do have x64 versions so it is theoretically possible to recreate the mix or I could manually convert all 797 PNG files to a lower resolution; however that would probably take the bulk of my free time for another week when I know an easier solution has to exist.
With that said, is there some program/BAT/JAR file that can automate the process of lowing the resolution of all PNG files? I see where people did this easily before 1.5.1 but not after and you know something like this already has to exist.
This application can restitch all of your separate files into one terrain.png or items.png, just like old times. Then, you can easily resize it and unstitch it again with the same program.
