When you say "synced to minecraft time" how did you do that? I'm trying to build a clock on an SMP server where people often change the time to day, using a light sensor plugin.
BYW this is awesome - and I've really enjoyed your player piano.

Thanks :smile.gif:
A minecraft day is 20 real mins, and there are 10 redstone ticks per real second, so with a bit of math you can work out the timing you need.
To sync, I set the clock to 12pm and start the clock when the sun was directly over head.
Thanks :smile.gif:

I've kind of been wondering if it would be smart/worthwhile to use one of those light detectors and basically re-sync every game morning/evening so that it can stay consistent over multiple days. Not sure how far out of sync it typically gets over the course of a few minecraft days (probably depends on how good your computer is!)

Yeah that's what I'm looking at doing because, as I said above, on my server people can vote to change the time of day at any time making my city town hall clock project annoying. I'm looking at using Falsebook's detection ICs to do a reset when I get the actual clock mechanism running.
You make some of the best redstone stuff I've ever seen. Your creations are always so clean, what's your organization system for the different wool colors?
Also, where can I download the flat wool map?
Wool colors differ for every project, its just a good way of keeping track of whats connected to what.
The map i think you are referring too is my flat snow map, i have not released it. I used MCEdit to create it.
Downside of this clock is it can't be resync'd automatically using light sensors since it's using a piston ring counter.. there's no easy way to reset it. Not impossible I suppose though. Would just need an extra column on the counter which would just be there to detect the "reset" point and then just set a RS Nor Latch to activate a clock to cycle the counter till it reaches that "reset" point.
*edit*
Oh and awesome clock :tongue.gif:
Now you just need a tower to put it on.
I've seen a shrunken version of an analog clock which replaced the entire face of the clock using pistons to swap it out to the correct look. Might be worth looking into for anyone that wants one they can fit into a room.
all controls are at the back (you will need to fly)
Controls:
advance minute hand
advance hour hand
start button
press the start button at midday (or midnight, cant remember. there is a sign) midday is when the sun is directly over head, midnight is when the moon is directly over head.
Hour hand moves through 24 positions in 15deg increments and uses 2 memory tapes for tracking position one for the top and the bottom numbers.
Minute hand moves through 8 position in 45deg increments and uses 2 memory tapes for tracking position one for the top and the bottom. numbers.
Hour hand is carried over every time the minute hand reaches 6 and 12.
Display works by retracted pistons revealing torch "back lighting"

Good work as always! Impressive stuff.
'Tis awesome :smile.gif:

This truly is a masterpiece for redstoners everywhere to admire.
I just finished my digital clock on minecraft and then I looked at this.
This is EPIC!
Digital diamonds totally has to do this!
but you should hook it up to a light detector in case you got o sleep. digital diamonds to yoouuuu!
