With the introduction of Shulker Boxes, storing loads of items has become far easier. With it's special ability of retaining all of it's contents when broken and placed, they act similar to an Ender Chest.
However, there is no limit to the amount of Shulker Boxes you can possess, which means that you can fill up an entire Double Chest with these to gain a large 1404(54x27-54) total slots of available chest storage.
Alternatively, you can fill up your Ender Chest to gain up to 702(27x27-27) total slots Ender Chest storage.
You can also fill your entire Inventory with Shulker Boxes(37x27-37) to gain a whopping 962 slots of inventory storage.
The only real downside to these is that if you lose a Shulker Box that contains items, you also lose all of the items within the Shulker Box.
The real question comes to play when you compare Shulker Boxes to Regular/Ender Chests and see all of the advantages that shulker Boxes have, enough to make regular chests and Ender Chests obsolete. Do you think that the Shulker Boxes are overpowered?
Do you even know what it takes to make a single one? They don't exactly grow on trees. Besides, we haven't even officially had a single snapshot for us to use it first hand yet. Hold your horses man.

Overpowerness doesn't depend on how hard it is to craft or obtain...
So we should be allowed to move our entire OP base at will? I don't see any logic there.
Past the end-game point, sure, why not? The llamas will already let you do that anyway and that doesn't require you to beat the game.
So you are saying that we need an OP item that practically breaks the game and makes the most used storage item, chests, obsolete?
How are chests obsolete? They are not made out of a finite resource, do not require you fight a dungeon, have applications with hoppers, and can be doubled up. If I want a large storage area there is no way I'm using Shulker Boxes.
Overpowerness doesn't depend on how hard it is to craft or obtain...
That's how most games balance powerful items to begin with, they are only obtained by a feat or later stage of the game.
I'd kind of prefer if you could only hold a full one in your offhand or you could put them in Llama inventory and hold up to 6 Shulker Boxes at once. But I have no problem with this either really. The only hard part would be if there are Servers that have explored a ton of the End and they are all dead, but just make so they can spawn outside of End Cities, but very rarely.

I have two comments on this. First, as ThePiDay said, Shulkers don't actually respawn like most mobs. I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to craft just two Shulker Boxes after conquering one End City.
Second, while Jeb was showing the clip of Shulker Boxes, he confirmed that you could not put a Shulker Box inside a Shulker Box. But he never said whether or not you could put one in a normal chest. My bet is that you can't, and will only be able to keep them in your inventory or placed in the world.

-Being stuck in the same place you began sucks. What if by the end game I have found a new area I like more?
I enjoy the idea of moving everything out of the side of a mountain into a nice looking home.
-If you find game progression as an obsolete feature... I'm not
certain how to reply. If you can place the shulker box in a chest then
the chest is actually really awesome and it has been imbued by
awesomeness. If that is not the case, my statement of game progression
still stands. In no way does moving items from one place to another
"break the game". There are chest minecarts. Am I able to put a shulker
box in a minecart? Looks like those chests aren't that obsolete after
all. Hoppers are more expensive as well if you were to look at the
material cost for some rails. They would also require you to use more of
the same material. Giving you more stuff to do with iron.

-also with these things you can set up a dungeon with non random loot. with the /tp command you could teleport a whole chest of goodies to a spot that you needed it. and I'm all for that.
Do you have any idea how badly we needed a bigger inventory?
This is exactly what a lot of people have been wanting, and it's perfect. Couple this with the llama caravans you can use, and you can finally move everything from one base to another; in one journey.
I'd love to be able to color them possibly, so I could have "tool boxes" in my inventory and easily keep track of what's inside.
@,Gurujive I was wondering how you would go about this? tp ing a chest? I am a noob

Considering that the only reason I even make more than one "base" is so I don't have to walk all the way back to my main base (the only actual base I build, the others are just places to store resources and get more food and wood), these would make it completely pointless to ever make more than one base; with an Ender chest full of Shulker boxes I could store up to 44,928 resources even without crafting any blocks of coal, iron, etc! That's around 2 real-time days of caving over two weeks of playing; extra food and wood can each go into a single box which is emptied as I consume them (I currently also use a few slots for furnaces, crafting table, anvil, and gear to be used for repairs but I would not need any of those thanks to Shulker boxes and Mending).
For comparison, I currently only have 63 slots available to transport resources back to my main base (inventory and Ender chest) and about half of this space is taken up by resource blocks for around 15,000 resources, with the other half being taken up by moss stone (no longer worth taking from dungeons since 1.8), rails (I modded in a block that lets me craft 9 rails into one block, which would not be needed anymore), and chest loot. This means that I could go 2-3 times longer before I had to return to my main base due to a full inventory (temporary storage) - the effort in making a railway would also be pointless since the time it saves would be offset by the need to make far fewer trips to/from a given secondary base (rails are about twice as fast as walking but require an initial investment to build).
Also, with Shulker boxes if I crafted resources into blocks I could carry a staggering 200,000+ resources, allowing for half of the slots to be filled with resources and the other half other items as described above.
In fact, this is exactly what happened back when I used a backpack mod (4 large backpacks plus one small one, equivalent to 9 chests or 243 slots; I only crafted coal (etc) into blocks and smelted iron and gold back at my base); I never built any secondary bases in any of the worlds I used it in. I stopped using it in part because I thought it was gamebreaking - and now here Mojang comes along and adds basically the same thing to vanilla. Otherwise, I find that 36 inventory slots plus an Ender chest to be perfectly adequate, enabling me to spend 6-8 hours at a time caving, getting around a thousand resources per hour, before I run out of space.
Also, somebody said that you'll never get that many without using Creative; I'm sure they also think it is impossible to mine over 8,000 diamond ore or find close to two double chests of diamond horse armor in dungeons but that is exactly what I've done. After all, the world is practically infinite in size.
Well I think it depends on if you could put a shulker box into a shulker box (Lol!) then it would be Overpowered assuming you can find enough shulkers.

Figured it was time for a change.
For beating the game there better be some sort of OP item that's worthwhile exploring those boring end cities. Elytra wasn't really enough incentive.
Even if inventory space could be considered over-powerful (which it can't) its an end game item.
Be careful I may one hit you with my inventory space of doom.... Just sayin'
There's not anything wrong with being able to move your base.
I hope you can put them on llamas actually. That'd be pretty cool.

Shulkers don't respawn though, so they aren't renewable.
Short of creative mode, I don't see how you'll get that many.

They are a nice feature! End boxes are end game items so they are pretty hard to get since in the 1.9 Combat Update they nerfed the Dragon fight

They may be a little bit owerpowered but we need more inventory space.
It would be stupid if Mojang add bags or something like that, cause we have all that in mods. They have a very clever and unique idea.
Shulker Box are really great addition to the game.
I'll wait till Wednesday to play around with the features.
Then, we can talk.
This item would only be broken if you can place on inside another. In my opinion it adds a good end game item that is VERY useful!
