The Story of the World, A Legend Lost Pt 1 There is a tale not written in books, not carved in stone, nor passed on from generation to generation. It is a tale of immense sacrifice and death. Those that existed before us wrote the story of the World in an age long since forgotten. These beings were believed to have brought forth the light that ended the darkness of the Creation. Not one person knows where they came from or how they came to be. No one knows who created them, or for that matter, who came before them if any. Our civilization has come to simply call them the Architects, fathers of all Creators and living things. It is said that these beings channeled their power from the realm of emptiness and purity, where night is an eternity. Through their tampering with the Eternal Realm however, they discovered an entity that possessed no physical body, had no age, and was of unknown origin. The Voice whispered many secrets to them and taught them how to create life. In return, It asked to be given a physical body with the knowledge It gave them, one that could leave the Eternal Realm forever, and seek the warmth of the light. The Architects fearing Its already infinite power, denied the Voice its freedom. With their new stolen power drawn from the Eternal Realm and the Voice, they created life in every seed and reigned over all things. Kingdoms flourished and life began to grow in all Realms. However, the more they created, the more they realized they were missing an ingredient to their designs, Death. The need for Death came when those that dwelled upon the possibilities of power from the Eternal Realm became obsessed with its use and sought to better themselves in every way possible. The cost of each use turned them into something more and more foul and disgraceful. Their minds became filled with hate and pride as the seeds of Sin were sewn into their hearts. The first Void Dwellers were born. Realizing the folly of their brothers and sisters, the remaining Architects soon found themselves on the brink of Civil War. The tension amongst the Architects could be felt within every other lesser being across all worlds, and soon enough, the seeds of Sin began taking root in the hearts of those whose pride and envy outweighed their desire for morality. The Architects of the Realms were left with no choice but to make the pact that would change their design and understanding of life forever. They ventured once more into the Eternal Realm and sought out the Voice who gifted and cursed them. They told it of how their kind had become obsessed with the power they were given and described the wickedness that was spreading throughout the realms, in the hearts of once pure beings. The Voice sat in silence and listened. It is said that the Architects begged the Voice for the knowledge of Death so that they may end the wickedness in their worlds and agreed to give it whatever it wanted in return. The Voice, seeing what they had created in their worlds, envied them and asked them to create a realm for itself, a realm of everlasting warmth and perfection without the need of the sun or the moon, unbound by common and natural law. The Architects agreed and quickly created the first of many Realms of the Nether. The Voice was silent. The Voice then asked them to allow it to take the wicked to dwell in its realm upon its freedom, so that their souls could be used to power and give life to its realm. The Architects agreed and constructed the first of the Conduits in the Nether in order to power the realm with the souls of the wicked. The Voice was silent. The Voice then asked for a body, one that could feel the heat of day, cherish the cold of night, and embrace the gift of life. The architects agreed and the Voice was silent. Once the pact was made, the Voice emerged from the shadows. Ripping their now mortal souls out from the husks that were once theirs, the Voice stole their bodies and left them to wither away in the Eternal Realm... ..Death walked out of the Void and into the Light… The Voice’s appearance in the Realms of the Light sparked the conflict that many would come to call the Unseen War. With mortality now in existence in the realms, death was inevitable and the Architects soon began to realize their mistake. The Voice of the Nether had amassed an army of abominations from the souls of the Wicked, intended on exacting It’s revenge against the Architects for their betrayal and denying it It’s freedom. Realm by realm, the Voice tore down all that the Architects had created and loved. No realm was safe and no army was large enough to stop the Voice and It’s growing force. Before long, the Architects made a final effort to turn the tides of the war for the sake of all living things, but for a terrible price… With their knowledge of the working Conduits that sustained the Voice’s Power, they launched an all-out assault on every Nether Realm as the Voice and his army gave chase. Many were slaughtered on each initial charge into the realms, and many more were killed trying to reach the Conduits. The few Architects that did reach the Conduits, used their final draw of power from the Void and sealed the Voice and It’s Realms from the inside, forever trapping them behind black portals. Their sacrifice ended the threat in the Realms of Light, but their fate was left unknown… Thousands of years passed since the end of the Unseen War as the Realms of Light had begun to flourish and grow once more. The remaining Architects had faded into obscurity and eventually, many believed their true bloodline to have all but ceased to exist. Tales of voices, god beings, and war became legend and eventually, forgotten. In their wake however, a new race of beings were born. Their arrival marked the dawn of a new age, heralding the growth of life and power. They were believed to be the only descendants of the great Architects and as such, many gave them the name, Creators. Their appearance however did not go unnoticed, as two ancient forces had begun to re-awaken within the Realms. A Voice of Light and Reason, and one of Envy and Hate, now stand at the threshold of the Extinction. You are a Creator. Your arrival in the Realms has brought about the Third Age of Creation, and with it, awoken a darkness more ancient than time itself. The Voice of legend has risen once again from the depths of It’s Realms and seeks to finish what It started long ago. All that has been reclaimed, stands to be undone and you and your kind are the last hope to stop it from destroying all of Creation. You are not alone however. The being of Light and Reason, the Voice of the Seed, has chosen your kind to lead the crusade and finish what your ancestors could not. Silence the Voice of the Nether… Forever.

"How to Build Realistic, Medieval Fantasy" Guide
Before you begin building on your new plot of land, please note that we are looking for serious builds, not boxy, block-ish, boring stuff! We have put together a list of what we expect and what rules one should follow when building on a proper plot. You have a responsibility to the server to help aid its aesthetic immersive feel in other parts outside of Developer builds. Plots that are built for free (not paid for) are griefable, so as such do not have to follow as strict a code in terms of building (although we do encourage to build your best). You must still follow the medieval style however and zero tolerance for lava towers, 1x1 towers, and other eye sore things. NO FLOATING BUILDS. And lastly, NO MASSIVE LAND CLEARING/FLATTENING. Build with the terrain, not against it as it aids in the aesthetic quality of the build. Trust me
1. Purpose/Functionality This is what defines what your build is or does, what role it plays. Ask yourself, what purpose does your build have? What does it do? Example: Is it a windmill? Windmills should be out in an open field for better wind flow. Its used to grind wheat. Is there wheat nearby? Nearby is better as to eliminate travel distance when hauling loads of wheat at once, after all, cars didn't exist in medieval time! Functionality must also play an important part with your builds. For example, if you have an anvil or blacksmith shop, you should realistically apply a source of fire and lave to the build as well as a system that LOOKS like it could pump air into a closed space smithing shop. It doesn't have to be truly functional, it just has to look the part! Same with the windmill, a windmill without an interior mechanism that looks like it could grind wheat isnt that realistic at all. All these things, you must consider for a step towards a realistic build.
2. Structure (structural support) All buildings have some form of structural support. Gravity should play a major part in your planning. If the house is big, you will need central support beams. They don't even have to look horrendous as you could disguise them as frame work for neighboring walls to other rooms! If the build is really high, you will need more support columns that gradually get thicker or heavier at the base so that the object appears stable and sturdy to hold its own weight and the weight of the wind. Use caution when making support beams using certain blocks however. We have seen some builds that use 50+ blocks of spruce wood and make us wonder, "how the hell did they chop down a tree that tall, manage to keep it intact, and post it up as support for a stone build?" Little things like that destroy immersion for most believe it or not.
3. Atmosphere This is the space that surrounds your build. Empty, bland space is such a waste in most cases, It is a chance to aesthetically improve the feel of the overall builds. Atmosphere makes the player feel immersed in the build or area, without any work or effort on the players part. The atmosphere of a crowded city comes from buildings being built close together, wagons and carts in the streets, muddy, cobblestone paths weaving between medieval styled homes, laundry on clothes lines, people walking about, small gaps of open sky above the slanted roof tops and through hazes of the occasional chimney stack. See? Doesn't that paint a pretty picture? Atmosphere is a mix of detail AND how well the space/depth of the area pulls a player in with its surrounding environment.
4. Detail This is self explanatory but there is such a thing as moderation. Too much detail might distract too much from your focus, and too little will make the player easily overlook or gaze past your build because it is too bland!
5. Realism Lastly, a combination of all 4 elements listed above. Take a look at real life builds or structures. Think stories. What kind of story does the build and or structure tell you? What can you make of its history? This is VITAL to RP builds!

Why are you interested? What building styles are you good at? I excel at Norse and Medieval build styles as well as terraforming. Building houses, dungeons, and landscapes are my bread and butter so to speak. Massive structures (cathedrals, ships, castles) tend to be my weak point as I am used to using world edits on PC to build the frames of the structures to save time instead of building by hand on console versions. It's not that I can't build them, but rather I get impatient doing the "grunt" work that a PC tool could do for me in a matter of seconds.
If you owned this server for a week, what would you do with it and why? What are the goals? What would be the theme? And finally, what sort of players would you be looking for to play your server and how would you keep these players interested? (Applicants leave the answer here)
Alrighty, posted another update to the thread with an example of what we are looking for in regards to the bio. Eh, gets the point across more or less. Be creative guys and gals! This part shows us who the TRUE players are for this server! (Just humor us lol, we like to see people get into these kinds of things!)
Did not think to add an explanation of the schedule section. Yes, this server WILL be a long-term one. We've done it in the past, and it will work for this one as well. Updating again with Part 2 to the Lore soon as well when our current one on Xbox 360 finishes at the end of this week. Stay tuned!

Your name - GrindouT
Where you came from (Create a place of origin!) - Originally from Wetwood
What your ambitions are - To rule over a new town when possible and create it from the ground up.
A brief bio of who you are (Create your own back story!) - A man who loves to fish off of the docks of Port Haven. Grindout, a once humble ruler of his city, he decided to abandon his own citizens to take himself to a world he heard of from the whispers of the Creators, that was of new technology for all mankind. He found this world of Titans where man and machines worked together in the fight for the Fall. As a simple man and loyal to his friends, he helped in this fight for many months. The war has calmed and he now finds himself missing the tranquility of his dock and fishing with his friends in Port Haven. With all the new knowledge he hopes to come back to the realm where he can do what he loves and that is to build.
Where you came from (Create a place of origin!) - I hail from the northern tundra, which boasts the likes of both heroes and immortals. We are simple people who only wish to enjoy a warm fire, our stein's topped off with rich lager and our appetites filled, while we lay witness to the barbarians ritually clash with the foe.
What your ambitions are -To gain a foothold in this new wilderness. I look to again uphold a position of trust, to defend against those whose morality has fallen to the roadside. This chapter, I will look to branch off into greater possibilities. I envision myself seeking a quiet hillside to start my own settlement.
A brief bio of who you are (Create your own back story!) - Once only a traveler passing through, I have since found a sense of belonging. Bonds have formed and many friendships have been made. Along the trail I have seen my abode destroyed, my livelihood taken and forced to become nomadic. Once settled, I put my nose to the grindstone to get where I am. The long nights and tireless struggles led me to great power and the rule of a settlement. Now, the sweet taste of being a lord lingers upon my palate, I will stop at nothing to regain that legacy. Of course, the road will be unrelenting and I will need my brethren to stand along side me to form the unimaginable realm!
Where you came from (Create a place of origin!) I came from a far away part of the world, a part of the world you wouldn't like to visit
What your ambitions are: My ambitions would be to one day become the richest man in all the land
A brief bio of who you are (create your own back story!) TBHood he was once a farmer one of the richest farmers in all the land. But the laws were changed, but although he had made more than enough money for a lifetime he needed more, so he turned to a life of crime as a thief secretly operating from his farmhouse. After this decision he became one of the best of thieves in the land and one of the richest, but he has now become comsumed by the power of money and the evil has overcome his soul. The once peasent farmer is now an evil master thief and according to talk around town when nightfalls he will sometimes turn invisible, so beware!

Where you came from : I hail from the far away lands of Numendor (Elvish for West Land).
What your ambitions are : I aim only to be a strong arm of the community. Like the roots of the sacred trees of my homeland, I will secure my place among my peers as a leader, a listener, and a provider.
A brief bio of who you are : My mother and father were killed in the great fires of the third age leaving me and my brother to fend for ourselves. My brother had intentions of making pilgrimage to this sacred land, yet he was summoned by the Lord of our realm to help combat the monsters that lay siege to our land through their use of something we call Nether gates. Had the captain of the ship I sailed on not been a drunkard and ran us ashore, breaking the ship into nothing but useless sticks and planks, I would have gladly joined the battle myself. I seek approval for my brother's passage into this land with hopes that he survived the war with the foul beasts that plagued our homeland.
(literally I have a brother in law who wants to join as well, he is 16, but he is as mature as any adult I know). Will post a bio for him when he thinks one up.
