I play many of the wondrous instruments that belong to the percussion family.
Same here. Oh percussion, if only I never heard the horrible ideas people have of you in my area. "Percussion is the easiest thing to play. All you gotta do is hit stuff."
I also play Piano by ear, but I don't find it THAT impressive.

My avatar-Madison Gotha. She knows various weapons, she's a mage/sage, and is somewhat immortal. Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. Doesn't really like being called an elf and hates being called human..
I might be Moderator, but don't bother treating me too special. And don't make tons of Ban Hammer jokes, please. Also, I'm an Off-Topic only Mod. Don't ask me to lock a thread or something if it's not in the off-topic

If we're thinking of the same thing (listening to a song then playing it on the piano), then no it isn't amazing. Just not everyone can do it naturally. It takes a fair amount of practice to be able to automatically figure out the notes of a song instantaneously.
Like on the violin, I can listen to a song and play it. But it took a long time for me to get to the point where I can just pick up a song (though I haven't really been playing for a while, so my skills are quite a bit rusty).

Yeah... Well, people will think what they wish. I for one just take pride in my performance with said instrument(s), so they can just... Well, think whatever they want.

I can play the ocarina( and yes that is technically an instrument) I have dabbled with the piano. I have also played with the penny whistle but Its pretty easy conversion from the ocarina which I am pretty good at.

You don't like jelly babies? Get out of my house.
The recorder does NOT officially qualify as an instrument!
Unfortunately, my current band conductor is a trombone player who jokingly hates both instruments.
Meh, the recorder sounds pretty terrible.
Ah, but you can't put it with any other instrument and hope it sounds good.
i quit
Edit: I was awful, ha
How're you finding it? I learned Baritone after Trombone; I found switching from slide to valve much easier than I would've the other way.
