In all honesty, the kicker is that you will be happy for the rest of your life, and you will not be caught.
It's wrong to murder someone. I don't know why you're finding that so difficult to comprehend.
It's wrong to murder someone even if there are no negative consequences to you personally. I really don't think I could ever be happy for the rest of my life knowing I've murdered someone for no reason and would never be punished. Killing someone who was his mother's son. Someone who was his sister's brother. Someone who was his friend's friend. All because a random stranger asked you to. How could you ever be happy after doing something like that?
You don't really think that the only reason people don't go around murdering each other is because they'll get in trouble for it, do you? You must, otherwise you would never have even come up with a topic like this. Did your mother really raise you to be such a sociopath that you can't comprehend that murder is wrong?
First of all, you don't know anything about her, and looks are barley anything.
Also, someone wearing high heels and a red dress in a park definitely not the kind of person I would want, because again, looks aren't everything.
There is also the fact that if she is so evil to kill somebody just for a new relationship, then who says you won't die a suspicious death in a few years. I would never even be around anyone that evil.
If I was placed in this scenario, I would ask if she was joking, or conducting a survey or something to see people's reactions to things, and if not contact law enforcement. I doubt this scenario is even remotely realistic in real life though, stop watching so much drama TV.

Yes, this shows how fast essential morals are fading in our society. Some people don't realize what is wrong, and they are extremely selfish. You would not believe (or maybe you would) how many people will kill somebody because they are a small annoyance. Mostly they are kids under say 11, but some are much older. Some people don't even consider the guilt of psychically or even mentally hurting others, and only consider their personal gains or losses, and the punishment they face. We shouldn't even need punishment for murder, the guilt of ending another person's life should be enough, but it is a sickening how much punishment is the only thing keeping everybody for murdering all of their annoyances.
One day, you are sitting on a park bench, relaxing. Out of the blue, a woman in a flowing red dress and high heels approaches you and strikes up a conversation. She is easily a 10 out of 10, even without any makeup.
Suddenly, she slips out an handgun and offers it to you.
She loves you, but if you want to spend the rest of your life with her, you must kill her current lover.
She tells you her plan on how to kill him. It is a perfect plan; there is no chance that you will be caught. If you choose to follow through with it, you will live happily with her until the day you die. If you decline her offer, she will disappear from your life forever, never to be seen again. You will never find a woman as beautiful as her.
Do you take her offer?
If you prefer, the woman can be replaced with a charming, muscular hunk of a man.
I Throw the Gun away, Refuse the Offer, and Call the Police.
If said woman is to offer me a chance to replace another, there's no reason why she wouldn't go out and find another to replace me.

The entire purpose of the scenario is to get you to think about the value of human life versus the value of a happy life.
Where the heck does "drama tv" come into play?
Maybe if the scenario was a bit different people would change answers.
For example; if you and the prettiest woman/man you've seen secretly got together and you grow very fond of him/her, in fact to the extent you love each other; but the other person is married (you both know) and the only solution for him/her to break up with their spouse is to kill him/her. He/she comes up with a way you cannot be caught for it, and if you don't kill his/her spouse, you'll never get together.

What would you do?
Interesting, but then you're biased towards the woman.
How important is a lifetime of happiness? Is it worth killing for?
Lifetime of happiness? If that woman was my girlfriend, she'd do the same thing she did with her last boyfriend. Ask a TOTALLY RANDOM STRANGER to kill me.
If I had the opportunity to kill someone for a girl that I love 100%, I would kill a duck.

It's easier and more fun to ask a question like "What do you value more; someone's life, or your own happiness?" via hypothetical scenario.
Yes, it's ridiculous.
However, by not knowing the woman or the intended victim, you are forced to make a decision based on your own experiences and beliefs. In othe words, it doesn't matter who the two people are. It's your decision. Nobody will reap the rewards or suffer the psychological consequences save for you alone.
You'd shoot her for wearing a red dress?
I'd shoot her for wearing an ugly dress while asking me to murder someone.

I don't recall taking one side or another. You left out the last and most crucial part of my post:
I've never stated my position, and I don't intend to. It's interesting to read people's hypothetical reactions and see what people think.
Main goal of thread:
How important is a lifetime of happiness? Is it worth killing for?

which would make it a more realistic scenario
Why should it be realistic?
I think it would do better if it were hyper-realistic.
There are circumstances where I would kill someone, but to spend my life with beautiful woman (or man) is not one of them.
because that would make any answers more representative of what they'd do irl
you can't love someone deeply at first sight; hence the original scenario is biased
