God, when I was a kid, I was OBSESSED with Lego Bionicle. Still kind of am. I got a whole tub of bionicle parts and some assembled Toa sitting under my desk.
I have trapped my room now. Whenever someone enters without entering the password, legos creep out of the floor while they're walking.
They're trapped in the middle of a lego field, every step hurts, and there's no way out.
I have kind of a love-hate relationship with Legos. In my opinion, building huge sets is very frustrating and time consuming as I never even got passed the 23rd page of the instruction manual. Although, just messing around and building random structures always amused me as there was never a wrong way to build them. I just gave a friend of mine a Lego set for his birthday and he built it in 5 hours without stopping.
I loved them when I was younger. One of my saddest childhood memories involves Legos, though. I was at my grandma's house and had used accumulated birthday money to buy $200+ of Lego sets. I couldn't wait until I got back to my house to build them so I built them all at my grandma's. When it was time to return home, my mom packed all the completed sets up in really tightly packed suitcases and we went home. You have no idea how sad I was, opening the suitcases exciting to see my cool new completed Lego sets and instead being greeted by thousands of little bricks pouring out instead.
I have only a very small amount of lego simply because i can't buy it here.
(Well i can but it costs way WAY too much for even a small box.)
The most interesting thing i have been able to make with my lego is a small TARDIS.
Where is "here"? And they cost a lot everywhere I would assume. My main collection took over 10 years to build up.
In America, something as simple as this little police car set costs the same as 13 cheeseburgers:

Here is Turkey.
And here something that small costs roughly 80 lira.
Which i could use to buy myself 2 more pairs of quality headphones. So yeah.
Not suprised by the existence of this conversation. Love them Legos! I still mess with them, trying to keep the finished sets away from small kids and building random stuff with whatever pieces I step on. Too bad I'm not very good at free-form building.

don't expect me to be on much.
