I had because of my job but I couldnt see anything there in particular during that time.
Quite the opposite here! I'm not allowed to go because of my job. China has a bad reputation for trying to steal American technologies so we're not allowed to go to certain countries.
There is plenty to see in the western world so I'll likely never travel to Asia.
China isn't a place that I would really want to go to. Apparently the pollution is bad and I wont look forward to seeing dead babies in the gutters. Also, getting into China is really hard. The only way you can get in is usually by business and for holidays you have to have tons of visas and.. uhh... stuff.
But I've never even tried to get to China so I could be talking about the biggest load of rubbish ever.
I was born there and have lived there for 5 years. But I agree with you people that it isn't a place that many Americans want to go to (Overcrowded, hard to learn language, etc). The pollution is quite bad, and it is hard to get into China (I came back from there 1 month ago), but there are no dead babies in the gutters. I grew up in a small farming town on the country side, and no one there starves. You actually see more homeless people in the bigger cities. To survive, all you have to do is work and maintain yourself (e.g: earning money, cooking, washing clothes, etc).
However, there are many nice sites to see in China such as the Great Wall or the Forbidden City (much more). Shanghai and Guillin are very beautiful cities to go to too.
I know China isn't all that bad, but with their government issues at the moment, I'd rather stick to other countries. Otherwise, I would LOVE to visit China.
If I had the cash I definitely would.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
Irony in the first degree.
(I haven't. As others have said, there are places I would rather go.)

And there are other places i would rather go to than china.
The nevada desert for example.
