Is it normal to have as many nightmares I have? Those 5-ish dreams I have a night are almost always all nightmares, and they are pretty terrifying ones too, they are very disturbing, such as one I was in a wheat field getting chased by cannibals who then caught up to me, tore my legs off, ate them, spit in my face then tore off my face and then I woke up. I don't watch anything creepy such as horror movies, and I fall asleep with the tv off, what could be causing this intense nightmares?
It's pretty rough dealing with this, that is why I hate going to sleep and I stay up overnight as often as possible.
Here's another example of the type of nightmares I have: I was in my living room on my couch, I heard my doorbell ring and I went to the door, it was my mom, but she had a nearly-white pale face with pure black eyes, and then she broke through the door I ran back to the couch and sat down and another pale faced being broke their hand through the window behind my couch, strangled me to death squeezing my neck so hard that it pretty much collapsed, then my head tilted over and I saw another one coming from the other room towards me and then it went black. As you can see they are very gory and creepy.
I've never heard of that. I guess everyone is unique when it comes to dreams. Those nightmares sound scary though. I would suggest a psychiatrist, but they are a load of baloney. Just a fun fact, but did you know that the average human dream lasts for only 7 seconds, but we interpret it as going on for a long time. Another fun fact is that you dream every night, but not always remember it.

Dreams are really nothing but signals that your mind gives you to make you fix a problem or take action. If you're having nightmares every night, it probably means that you have repressed memories or emotions. Maybe a therapist could help? Any traumatizing things happen recently?

Nothing traumatizing has ever occured in my life. I also added a new dream to the original post so you can see how harsh they are.

Keywords are repressed memories... maybe it's not you, are your relationships/family relations fine?
I had dream once where I was in a play ground with a nice watching my dad get gutted out and pulled apart limb by limb, then in that dream I had to kill the rest of my family and a ton of gore-ish fiends who were attacking me on the way.... I only have good dreams or night-terrors... only.

I've had a dream like that, except it was me
No everything is fine between me and my family, this has been happening for around a year or so.
I feel so fortunate to never remember my dreams and when I do, they're always pleasant, amazing, and vivid dreams. Thank you for allowing me to be grateful, kirby.
One was Future Nyan Cat in some disasters in many places in tv shows. I crashed into Rarity's house in Applejack's cart. I even chase the cockroaches in a purple house.
And there are nightmares but I escaped from fears. Zombies chasing me = I rode in a car, riding away. Then there are weird stuff on my old TV when my dad was sleeping, and there was a FAQ. Then scary music was playing. Then I continue my sleep.
More stuff happened. I was trembling. It was getting weird and trippy that time. Then the dream went pitch black. I woke up.
(Because of the Tom and Jerry petition that I saw on TV, I was scared when I woke up...)
Just kidding, but in all seriousness, a therapist certainly could help you. It's not magic, there's nothing extremely profound about it. As said before, therapists push you to find what the problem is, nothing whimsical about that.
Plus, therapists work for plenty of people and plenty of problems, including my own best friend. There's no guarantee, but it's not voodoo and certainly has worked in the past and will continue to work in the future.
Well, usually 75% of dreams are negative. If you're a teenager, then that may be a bit above, but overall normal. Either that, or you may have Dream Anxiety Disorder. I hear Yoga and Meditating helps.
90% Nightmares
8% Dream
1.5% Wet Dream
.5% Lucid Dream

I am ninja'd far too often.
I knew that second one.
The nightmares however, you may want to tell your doctor or someone about asking for help?

How about your friends.....? is your parents relationship fine/ (don't need to answer anything you don't know or feel uncomfortable answering...)
Ope.
Everything like that is good.
Call a therapist?
Ope.
Even when I do watch scary movies and stuff it doesn't make a difference.
I don't believe in therapists.
