Let me explain: The transition from middle to high school is bigger than what you might tend to believe. Mostly, social. You stop being a child and become a teenager, desperately trying to fit in with people that share your interests.
As such, in high school herd like behaviour is pretty much the norm. And if you don't find your own little circle or group you'll be seen as the loser. Unless you're well liked by a lot of people and still choose to be alone. Then you'll be the loner.
You don't want to take the place as the loser in high school because it will be detrimental to both your happiness stemming from your social experiences and those will ALSO affect your grades.
You don't need to try and fit in. But make friends. Connections.
That's good since I have been to both 2 middle schools in my city, so most people in my grade will like me since I was one of the most popular (somehow the most nerdiest too), also I should note that I am going to be 13 for the first few weeks of high school since I just made the cut-off in Kindergarten.
To prepare you. In high school, everything starts to matter more. Which reminds me- try your hardest to get good grades.
EDIT: Ugh, why do I take so long to type.
I suck at getting good grades, I try my hardest, I'm pretty good at math according to my teachers even though I don't think I am and somehow I still get bad grades when I do all my work. Also teachers tend not to like me, I want to say the reason but I'd rather not say way, just know it's not anything that can be controlled.
Not sure, I just made the teachers so mad that they would suspend me for the littlest things, such as going to the bathroom without using the pass, or cussing in a conversation with my friend, and stuff like that... some of it didn't even make sense.
When I got expelled at the end of the year I just naturally smartened up, maybe it was just because the teachers liked me since I was new. I'm worried though that in high school they will not like me since that didn't work out so well in Middle School.

Wow, you sound a lot like one of my friends. He truly wanted to get good grades and was a hard worker, but just couldn't pull it off. He ended up working with some tutors and talking to his teachers more often and he did end up with better grades overall. I don't know how well this would work for you, but I'm putting it out there.
Who is "they"?
The teachers, the rules.
From what I have heard that is a way to get the **** beaten out of you.
The rules don't really change from middle school to high school. If anything, they become even more loose.
Only if you are naturally an insufferable douchebag.
Yeah I'm not really the best at that :/
Are you serious? Everyone told me (teachers) said that it is way more strict!
Sorry, I go to a more tolerant highschool. But generally, I think in the end being yourself will get you miles ahead of others "posing" and such.
I would rather be posing than the most hated kid in the school.
It honestly is easier. You really shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Just be yourself. Even if you're a freshman, people will still respect you for it.
to agree with you, it feels more relaxed even though you have more work. just be prepared and don't screw around when you shouldn't
Why would my teachers say that then? Well then again they said Middle School would be super hard and it was easier.
they are just prepping you so you're ready for an advanced education

If I did that I would be expelled instantly. I did terrible in the end of middle school, I got suspended so many times I lost track (around 30+)
Why did you get suspended so many times?
