Does anyone know of a program that is comparable to Adobe Photoshop?
It's okay if it's a paid-for program, but it'd be even better if it's a free one. I'd like to get Photoshop, but I don't currently have the money. (My last insurance bill was a pain in the ass.).
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear it.

I second the Paint.net mention. It's a great program in itself, and can be plugged to all heights and hullabaloos.

I play a lot on OniCraft, with several of my friends. We really like to build industrious semi-vanilla cities, make them reach a point of near self-sustenance, and then sacrifice the profited items to the Gods.
Also, I'd like to find one that I can put on my external hard-drive and run in a portable mode. If anyone knows of a program that can do that, that would be even better. :wink.gif:

Can't virtually any program do that? Or am I horribly mistaken?
Get Photoshop CS 5.5 extended, Its worth it. Try putting a parrot on your shoulder.
I'm planning on getting it once I get the money. But like I said, my last insurance bill really hurt my wallet (If you know what I mean.).

Wut? I've never actually used GIMP for drawing. Only for editing.
lolwutever, i've never seen artist's though say that they use GIMP for other than drawing, plus GIMP doesn't let add much effects to it (B&W, Glow, etc.) So its kinda hard if you do want to do photo editing with it.

Almost every program can. The problem is if it's install does more than just extract files. If it makes any registry entries, then it probably wont work.
The video shows him using it for making a picture, not photo editing... Although id say I might have a different definition of Photo editing than most others...

It sounds scary but it's kinda neat.
Oh, also, I make weird music.
DO THINGS WITH ME
GIMP is more of a drawing, and art, rather than Photo editing... But idk a good free photo editor though... Sorry!

How would you do it though?
The only way that I know how to run a program in a portable mode, is through the PortableApps platform.
*EDIT* - I know it sounds noob-ish, but I'm not too experienced with running things in a portable mode without some kind of program to help me out.
What edition of GIMP were you using?
Almost every program can. The problem is if it's install does more than just extract files. If it makes any registry entries, then it probably wont work.
Yeah that's about the only exception I could think of but I wasn't sure.
