If I helped you in any way, or if you think my smart-assed comments were funny. Please hit the green button in the lower right corner of my post. Thanks!
Also, the government is like "make new jobz for da peepz." and then they make it as hard as possible to do so. It took my uncle 3 years to get the permits needed to open a restaurant.
EDIT: I said most cases, from my experience. Most of those people in the list are people I do not care for in the least. And Fox is one screwed up network.
If you want to make a poll or a topic in an attempt to discuss politics, its usually preferred if you don't side with any one party, even if you strongly believe in it. Always question everything, that's how we have come this far.
OP: I believe your reasoning behind believing only Republicans as being "smart" would be the unconscious decision that we tend to migrate towards similar persons with similar interests, not that they truly are "smart," not that they aren't either. I've seen intelligence from both parties, and from all kinds of cultures. The truth is people who tend to stick to a party also tend to bandwagon with their ideas and concepts, making them not so "smart." This goes back to my earlier point about questioning everything.
My sentiments exactly!
You couldn't have said it better.

The US government could definitely use some work, for sure. However, I won't say much because someone else will probably be able to explain it a lot better.
The Declaration of Independence states, "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to it's own ends, it is the right of the People to abolish it."
I think it is safe to say the US Government has been quite destructive to itself and to others.
No. Just wanted to know if I'm the only sane person out there.
I question your sanity.
Seems like everyone is complaining "the goverment needs to pay me moneys." and I'm like, "Go and get a JOB."
Yes indeed because to "Go and get a JOB" is a matter as simple as walking out the door. If only people would listen to your wise advice, we wouldn't have any unemployment at all.
Look at the poll bro.
Let's see here, what do you think that proves? That those who voted negatively are actually (or in agreement with) Republicans? Lol, no. That people are not happy with the way things are? Yes.
I am pretty sure that the majority of Liberals on here voted negatively. "But Obama..." Obama does not equate the state of affairs. Moreso, Obama is not a "dictator" or independent of others, he is not capable of passing policies without the consent of the congress as a whole, if anything, we are to blame the congress as well. The government has been in ruins for several years past which includes most notably George W. Bush's presidency. I wouldn't be quite surprised if people are not happy with the government and the way things are after they've been ****ed over so many times. The only one who voted "OMG best gov ever" is either an over-zealous 9 year old Nationalist or someone highlighting the irony of it all.
I have reasoning behind that.
Oh? I'd be quite interested to hear that, and I hope it is not what you wrote after it.
The OT section is generally populated by smart people (compared to the rest of the community). Smart people tend to lean more towards republican.
Actually, that's true from my experience in most cases.
Personal experience does not prove much.
It seems that smarter people tend to lean towards republican, because they have usually have better jobs, and don't want the government taxing them into oblivion, and giving all the money to people who don't wanna work.
W-Wait, is that how you define "smart people"? *facepalm*
" they have usually have better jobs"
Define "better jobs". I think here you mean a bourgeois occupation. I lol'd.
"don't want the government taxing them into oblivion"
Can of worms really. They would be taxed into oblivion only if they have a hefty income, i.e., they are rich.
"giving all the money to people who don't wanna work." "People who don't wanna work" You're joking, right? What a ****ing pathetic excuse for poverty. First they blame Socialism for the problems of Capitalism, now they blame laziness for poverty and crises. Despicable.
I have idea:
Pay off the DEBT
Tell people to man up and look for jobs.
Tell the occupy protesters it's their own fault that their debt is high, plus they should really stop going for the latest things considering they aren't starving Africans.

You remind me of the Maoist Third Worldists. Just because people of the United States have it better off does not mean that they are not being exploited or ****ed over.
No. Just wanted to know if I'm the only sane person out there. Seems like everyone is complaining "the goverment needs to pay me moneys." and I'm like, "Go and get a JOB."
****. You seem to not understand why they don't have jobs. But, whatever. It's not like my ranting will change your young, naïve mind.

This is the kind of quote those ignorant of reality would say.
It's kind of a red herring to suggest that one party is in any dramatic way different than the other. Both are in bed with banks and corporations. They have to be. They have no -choice-. The government operates at the will of the almighty dollar, not the people. That they've fooled such a large portion of the population into thinking they actually have a choice is rather sad... By playing the sides of "hot issues" they make you think that in some dramatic way your life will change if you elect one over the other. What you don't realize is there is no choice, both parties are the same party. No matter who you elect the outcome is the same. The faces you see on the TV are put there to distract you. The 13 second sound bites you hear and regurgitate are designed to keep you busy, keep you arguing, keep you looking the other way while you're slowly converted into a distracted but overall compliant work force.
Oh, and if you have nothing to offer this great system called capitalism(read: weak, poor, invalid, disenfranchised), then **** you. Get a disease or starve to death we don't care.
To the poster below, lolno? Does it sound mad? It's kinda sad, but I'm pretty apathetic about the whole thing.

Thank you friend. You've stated my point even better than I could do it myself.
I was going to say something, but this post summed it up better than I could have ever hoped to.
I would also like to add the following, just for good measure:
Always open to critique and suggestions. (:
