Well after World War II everyone was all "oh my how the Jewish people have suffered" and just stole some land from the Palestinians and gave it to them. That's Israel.
Then in the 60s (or was it the late 50s, I forget) Israel staged a series of violent attacks against unarmed Palestinian civilian villages just out of sheer being-a-dickness.
I can half understand the first part, But for the second part, you might as well take the land off them.
The whole conflict goes back much much further than post WW2. The Jews were expelled form their traditional homeland around the 3rd century(going on memory). This was because they were blamed for the death of Christ and so they had to leave Jerusalem. This also aided in the rise of antisemitism as many Jews settled elsewhere,
That's rubbish, you can't kick people off the land they were born on based off a 2,000 year old claim.

It's actually older than 2,000 years old. The Torah scrolls are part of the bible itself, which gives it an even larger claim. Heck, even the dig sites there even support more that it's not Palestinian land.
The Jewish state of Israel should not exist at all.
Say all you want over the Roman diaspora, but what happened two thousand years ago cannot drive our modern day political affairs. After the diaspora, many Jews benefited from the stupidity of their overlords and became a very rich and powerful group. They bought their own country disregarding who lived there. It's pathetic how the common people were persuaded over this and its disgusting how corrupt the British government was to give them this land.
On the other hand, the Romani people or better known as the gypsies, never had a realistic chance at their own nation - and they suffered in the hands of Adolf Hitler alongside the Jews. They never were considered to have a state. Why? They weren't rich enough like the Jews.
The Jews bought their way to statehood and honestly in my opinion, it's one of the worst religions to have it's own state. Judaism is violent in nature, easy to sway the minds of the radical, and much more traditional that, say, modern day Christianity (Protestanism or Orthodox for instance) whom doesn't influence the mind of the average person as much as Judaism does (because of it's traditionalism).
Does anyone else find this entire conflict to be impossible to straighten out because both sides are using tradition and terrorism as arguments and means just for some, admittedly valuable, land.
If any of you watch the Colbert report there was a Jewish group talking about there plan and it sounded like they are willing to make peace with Palestine and share Jerusalem and have it belong to neither country necessarily.
