The first thing that I always think of when I see a thread about religion is the misconception that Jesus was white. Based on the area that he lived in, he would have looked something like this:
Geez, Black Jesus is even worse. I don't even know how Family Guy held their own against all the criticism.

You can tell that the Big Bang happened because of Redshift. Certain things act in certain ways? Oh do give me an example.
Um, some stuff is, some isn't. You'll burn yourself if you put your hand in fire... Should I explain to you every intricacy of reality? And about red-shift, I believe it exists, but here's my logic; When God created the world, he did not created Adam as a baby; he was a man. The trees in Eden were not saplings, they were trees. The animals weren't baby's either. If the universe was a 'baby' it would not be a great place for stuff to live. So the universe would be created with age as well.

How do you know that the Universe as a "baby" would not be a great place for stuff to live. Besides, life wasn't even created during the Big Bang. It came billions of years later. Also, your not even making a legitimate argument. Your just referencing what happened in the Bible.

Or you're full of complete ******** and what actually happened is galaxies and subsequently planets and stars formed throughout billions of years, and then the development of said plants over millions of years brought it's current status. It was simply lucky that the formation of Earth happened to be composed mostly of Carbon, Nitrogen, and Oxygen, otherwise we would not exist.

If the story of Adam and eve were real, we would all have the same DNA, therefore, would all be inbred. And we all know how inbreeding works out.
Simple Embryology is good evidence for evolution, and not excellent for the Garden of eden theory. Also, has anyone done the maths to see if 2 people could even possibly breed into 6 billion with human breeding times and patterns? (sorry, that last bit makes us sound a little too much like our mammalian cousins.)

Way to go Tony. Taking the scientific approach.

That too.
I think what we're discussing as which one, if any, is correct. This should probably be in the religion thread, but this will work for now.

Yes. This too. If Adam and Eve were indeed real, then at this stage, after thousands and thousands of generations, we would be little more than babbling cannibals with little to no intelligence.
Also, there is now extensive evidence that we did, in fact, originate from Primates through the Marker theory, in that throughout the Apes' timeline a "marker" appeared along the way, and this marker subsequently "modified" the Ape DNA, and slowly evolved into what we have today. That would also support why there are different generations of humans, like Homo Erectus and Neanderthals and Homo Sapien Sapien.

How can you take his "theological" threads seriously? :dry.gif:
No, I'm stating "Even if you're right".
Geez, Black Jesus is even worse. I don't even know how Family Guy held their own against all the criticism.

But why not different ways from the ways we observe? Why?

It's fun to think we're all technically "stars"
That too.

It's true. We are made out of stellar material.
If we're going to take the no evidence route...
prove to me that I exist and that I'm not a figment of your imagination.

Now that song is gonna get stuck in my head.
"You're gonna be a staaaar!"
We're not gonna be stars we are stars :smile.gif:
