Sorry about this fail of a thread, but
Do you have any fears that freeze you in place (literally), as I have just recently experienced this. I was walking my dog, when I saw an off-leash pitbull. I couldn't move. I couldn't blink. I was just staring at it, mortified. I had never felt such a weird sensation.
After some (very) short research, I found this information.
"We are born with only two natural fears, the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling. All other fears are not natural; they are products of our environment. Fear is an unreal emotion that our egos create to keep us safe. Unfortunately, being safe isn't always the best way to learn and develop. To make the most of life, we must face our fears and move through them."
"At birth or soon after, a baby has startle reflexes and avoidance
reactions, such as recoiling from pain, jerking at a loud noise or
gasping at the sensation of falling. These actions may be unconscious
to begin with, but they connect to conscious fears as the infant
matures."
Now, I'd like to discuss this. As in, are you afraid of falling and/or loud noises, as these articles state? Surely, babies are scared of these two things naturally. But are you?
I for one, am extremely scared of heights, and falling.
I gasp even when watching videos of skydiving from first person views. But I am almost never scared of startling noises.
I'm afraid of heights I suppose. I am almost over my fear of the dark as well.
I can handle theme parks rides just fine though. However, if there is a continuous steep incline, then no.
Just doesnt feel safe going straight up for that long of a time. at all.
Side question:
are deers afraid of headlights or are they just entranced by them?
Google is giving me mixed results.

I'd say neither.
They're probably like, "doo doo doo, all dark and ****."
and then Mr. Toyota Camry's all like HEADLIGHTSHEADLIGHTSHEADLIGHTS
and then mr.Deer is like "whoah **** that's bright as fu-"BOOM
I'm afraid of poison that knocks you out. Like tranquilizer guns. I have nightmares of that almost every day. Somehow, I feel like things like that shouldn't exist. This might sound pathetic, but the thought of a living, intelligent being losing all control of everything makes me really scared. I never want to get any of that poison in me, but I probably can't avoid it. Whenever I think about it, it's very intense..
I'm very weird.. But other than that, I'm not afraid of much else. If I think about my fears too much, it will make me too aware of them. Then I'll be paranoid. So I'm not gonna think about it too much.
I posted in another thread exactly like this, but I guess I'll say it again as if it matters.
tl;dr: Just read what I said in the first two sentances.
Well, if I feel like I'm falling or I hear a loud noise I might jump a little, but I'm not really afraid of either. I am, however, completely f%@*ing terrified of fish, I can try to reach for one but I'll just end up freezing up and shaking, no idea why.

Warning: It is always a possibility this user is talking out of his ass.
I don't fear loud noises, but I fear seeing a humanstanding in front of me with empty eye sockets and blood running from them (Seriously, had a hallucination before, ended up punching the mirror in the bathroom). Why do I fear something just like me, but has a disadvantage (No sight)?
Well, duh, of course I'm afraid of my built in fears.
I tried doing a bungee once from a cliff, and I almost couldn't do it, it literally felt like I froze in place.
Loud noises.. it depends, I'm usually not afraid on loud noises, but once night on 04:00AM, for some reason, a glass bottle fell from the table in my livingroom.
I automatically covered my head, closed my eyes, and crouched, I didn't even think about it, though I think it was more of an instinct than a fear, maybe the two are combined.

That's the only good one. XD
If we fear fear, wouldn't that just in turn become an endless cycle of being fearful in fear of fear?
FEARCEPTION
I would think that too, I think an easier way to say it would be a just 'Do not fear'.
"That's the only time a man can be brave."
OT:
I'm afraid of heights, a whole lot.
And I get startled by sudden loud noises, but they don't put fear into my heart.

You have just read this. You are also manually breathing.
