I love the way you try get things wrong,
because they are explained too unexact ^^
You're right, I did get it wrong. I assumed bodies as if chopped in half, but that wouldn't happen. If atoms are destroyed at random selection, every human being will just be liquified.
No, it's like saying "If half of the atoms that make up a planet disappear, then the cores gravitational field would be significantly weaker, thus letting the outer shell fly away."
Which is not dissimilar to the absurd metaphor I gave.

-50% population? Skynet most likely appeared. :cool.gif: Anyway less people means less resource strain. The lower population would also be easy to manage by governments. So more stuff for people who are left pretty much.

Let your anger be as a monkey in a piñata... hiding amongst the candy... hoping the kids don't break through with the stick!
We are what we eat and we are who we meet. These are not mutually exclusive.
If the worlds human population would be halved right now.
I would be happy. or gone.
One way or another, its a win for me.

I am a Brony - grown up fan of My Little Pony. If your ok with this, im ok with you. If your Not ok with this, im still ok with you.
In fact, if you dont like Bronies or the show, im happy to discuss it with you.
There would be many many more deaths as the world tried to scramble to fill the spots that were screwed up. It would most definitely not be good for the planet or the species. Governments (especially weaker, 3rd world country ones) would be cracked, science and medicine would be slowed, volatile power plants would have issues if not looked after quick enough, families would be torn apart so children would starve or get sick and die, ships and other large vehicles would fall into disuse or be terminated, hospitals would likely lose patients in the burp, and probably worst of all many farms would be disrupted to adjust to the new schedule and famines would break out in delicate countries.
The economy would probably also crap the bed with all of this and the banks (assuming they still operate normally) would have a huge backlog to deal with concerning all of the disappeared people's accounts.
Assuming people don't know about this beforehand, then there would also be massive hysteria, panic and distrust.

But we won't have to worry about nonexistent pressing concerns about population growth!!!
Can i choose who disappears? If not, I would check if everyone i know are ok. If they are not, I will find to people to socialize with. If they are, I will continue my life as normal.
I would check to see if anyone close to me disappeared assuming so, I would mourn them quickly. Then rejoice about the less resource strain, Then start looting every uninhabited building I could find before the government has a chance to get their pants back on and declare martial law.
Well, assuming they died when they disappeared, I would do something in their honor. Like make a shrine or whatever. You know. Respect the dead.
Then, to contradict what I just did, I would loot all the unoccupied houses and buildings I could find.
Then.... I would enjoy as much as I could in life.
I would definitely feel a bit more free.
It would temporarily solve the population problem, of course... But, then the world population would exponentially grow as it did before, but perhaps even faster due to modern health advancements. :mellow.gif:
A lot of people would commit suicide as well, I'd say a good 5-10% would do themselves in. Maybe 8-20% others start committing crimes and looting. 5% may lose their sanity.
For me, the only sad thing about this thread is that it wont happen.
Its a shame really.

And best yet, half of Ohioans would disappear! Then the new headlines would be everything I listed up there, and people's balls would be in an even tighter knot than today.

AND PUSH THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Seriously if that ever happened Im certain mass riots would break out all over the world.
"The rapture has happened, repent and join a fanatical cult to get a chance to go to heaven"
It would be horrible, I can already picture masses of christians burning "witches" in times square.
-What!?
I dont really buy all those conspiracy theories but ****, is that thing real?

Too bad the only part of this forum that would be active after that is off-topic, but, whatever!
