Notice how you have a different personality online?
Maybe not blatantly different, but most of us grow more confident when shielded by anonymity.
In real life, I'm probably a little less quick to speak, but equally (or more) laid back. I do tend to lash out in anger when provoked, both in reality and in the virtual realm. Also, I don't talk about the same topics. In real life I stick to talking about politics and science, whereas here, there's a fetish thread :-3
I am way more outspoken on the internet. If my family knew half the things I say on here I would become the family pariah (rest of fam is conservative).
Example: My uncle thought it was bad that I watched anime.

I'm sorta like a completely different person on the internet.
In real life I'm shy, quiet and very cautious.
On the internet I'm outgoing, active and very confident.
I'm essentially the same IRL and online. Maybe a bit more crazy online, but I'm still just as much of an asshole to people on and offline -- most just don't know it because it's laden in sarcasm. It's funny.

It's not that I have few words it is just that no one wants to hear them.
I like anime, computers, science, furries, sci-fi
other people around me like sports, republicans, religion, crappy reality shows.

I think there's little difference for me, perhaps I debate less in real life due to people lacking interest in certain subjects but overall it's the same. You don't get much conversations on communism, capitalism, and general politics beyond the handful of mainstream dominant parties.
...I think I am also a little more confident on the Internet than IRL.
A lot of those soft spoken, shy people irl are party animals that get drunk, get high and wasted at parties, but are still the same soft spoken person overall.
I'm pretty much the same in real life as here, except that in real life, instead of taking a problem diplomatically, I punch/slap them in the face. That only applies to my brother, who lurks here (and never posts).

Which would be the main reason why I lurk alot, you won't see me with thousands of posts on any forum unless I have been there for a year.

It's hard to follow your dreams when you run from your nightmares. --
Though I am more outspoken about certain subjects simply because theres a higher chance of getting my ass kicked because of my opinions IRL.
(Although I'm still sometimes like that on the net.)
