I usually type around 100wpm if I really focus... several different websites have given me results around this range. In my computer class my freshman year, we had typing contests, sort of; the teacher would give us a sentence to type and used a stopwatch, halting our progress after 60 seconds. My highest score was something like 130 WPM, because I basically memorized the key pattern of the sentence with muscle memory and just spammed it like you can spam your password, or a cheat code you've used a lot.
Casual typing is probably more like 70-80, typing really fast hurts my hands.
Average WPM is 50? That's pretty sad... I taught myself to type by playing Runescape.

Heh, best speed on the site was 63 WPM, with 2 typos. In Mavis Beacon at school, I, at best, get 70 Adjusted WPM (based on how many errors I made) with 3 errors. Darn computer admins, they make us run the 16-bit version, so I can sometimes type faster than it can "think," and I sometimes end up waiting for it to catch up, lowering my WPM.
I have been programming GML since I was 10, and before that, I used D&D, and there was a lot of typing involved. At 10, I would estimate ~50 WPM.
If I could type freely, like, not from a paragraph or something, I would reach ~80 WPM.
I remember being 6, spending an rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hour remembering how to type "pirate" and then I would type at 2 WPM. Big changes occurred after.
(The "rrrrrrrrrr" was me scraping gum off of my keyboard.)

Look towards the arrow keys of your keyboard. Now look up. Theres a little cluster of 6 keys. The bottom left key is labelled "Delete".
Ah GML. So nice and basic, and easy to use. :3 I made tons of stuff in that programming language.

In my case, that is.

I'm lost.
World record's 216 WPM. I even said this in my first reply to this topic.
