I've been looking into lucid dreaming, I downloaded Lucid Dreaming audio book by Stephen Le Bough but I have never gotten it. Have you ever had a lucid dream? So, what would we do? just share stories or something? I'm in though!
Yeah, I guess so. Yes I have lucid dreams normally. I am trying to be able to go from a wake state directly into a lucid dream. I am listening to some binaurel beats right now. So, if I don't respond again soon that means I was succesful.
I have had many lucid dreams, but some of them get too real, to the point where I freak the **** out. Then I wake up and start crying, hugging my pillow. I had one where I saw myself die it scared me so bad.
Also, each time it happens I hear this loud... noise (I suppose you could call it) but it's more like a feeling, kinda hard to explain. It just takes a lot of practice, I wrote in my dream journal for a couple months, and checked reality every so often.(I still do, it's a nasty habit).
Whenever I get a lucid dream, a ****ed-up one is already in progress, making it hard to concentrate.
The way I found out in my dream that I was lucidly dreaming, was that I cut a piece of my brain out that I was sure was that specific memory/chunk I wanted to remove. I then tried to remember the memory I forgot and did, and my only conclusion was that I was dreaming and there was a sort of meta-knowledge, an event that proves that I'm in a dream.
Also, The dream was that there were cartoon babies everywhere the size of houses, and they formed an island. We were on a tour train going through it all, and the piece of brain I cut out? Well I dreamed it was a nuke, blew up the island, then summoned an island from the depths where I spent the next 20 in-dream minutes living out my fantasies, happily. Best 20 minutes of my life ever.

Lucid dreaming is when you realize that you are in a dream.
It is when you realize that you are in a dream, and after you do, you can control anything in your dream. It's like being awake, but with the mental powers of dreams. And oh boy, that 20 minutes was sublime.
Also, research theorizes that when you die, your brain synapses come similar to that of dreams, and your brain releases toxins and anesthetics to put your mental state into that of a dream as well.
Long story short, when you die, you go into an infinite dream, where your conscious is at it's fullest potential and you dream lucidly all the time, supposedly. Yes, that would make death promising. Imagine a world where you control everything, and anything exists. Man if this theory is true, I'd make all my dreams come true.

Everyone's subconscious is impossible to predict. They're hidden desires which you haven't come to terms yet, or are ones that you already have. That's why when I get the time, I'm going to become a freaking lucid-dream adept. Then my last minutes on earth (Well, dreams distort time, and the theory states that it makes dreams seem to go on forever) will be the best, times, ever. I'd create all my favorite ideas, and make a new universe with my powers. I'd make myself a god.

Ugh, if this is true and death is just an endless dream... I would hate it. I mean, some aspects would be cool but, you can't really dream forever, because dreaming goes on in your brain, right? Which means your brain would eventually wear out, or if your brain was crushed, what would happen after our dream state?
I don't want to die.
Words of Hope: Your mind lives on after you die...
Okay, screw rationality! I believe that the mind splits from the brain at the point of death and either joins with a shared dream or floats off somewhere.

I hope this really happens. I am a Christian, because it doesn't make since to wager with eternal suffering/happiness.
But if religion's fake, this should happen.

I've had dreams where I KNOW I'm dreaming, but don't take advantage of it.
One time, I had a dream where there was a wasp nest and it was in my hands. I decide to start pissing off the wasps, and they start angerly flying around me. My friend was there, too, and he was freaking out. Then, I tried to calm him down by saying "dude, don't worry, this is just a dream, they won't hurt you". Then, I got stung and it hurt like ****, and I woke up.
Join me in my lucid dreaming, astral projection, OBEs and much more.
