You'd find that the T's a tad more contentious then the other three.
I'm a cishet degenerate and I'm supportive of the LGBT community. I have a few gay friends and a trans one and they're all coolios.
However, my support ends abruptly there. I don't support any non-binary genders (genderfluid, otherkin, etc.) nor the sexual preferences involved.

If by the very definition of cigender, how are you a degenerate, as gender is a result of genetics, more specifically chromosomes? Is it a case of "I hate being German because of what the Nazis did"? All cigender means is agreeing with the genetic results of your parent's copulative efforts.

Sorry guess I wasn't prepared for jokes. People seem to get bent out of shape when jokes are made within these subjects, so I took it literal. Glad to hear it. Last thing someone should feel is gender guilt.

Pansexual and genderfluid. I'm not really open about this in real life yet, mostly because- long story short- I was a social punching bag in middle school, a fate which I only managed to escape at the cost of my ability to handle people, and I don't want to go back to that.

Bear in mind that I tend not to future-proof my posts. If I said something a while back that doesn't make sense, it probably did make sense at the time.
Also, unless my avatar at the time is a Minecraft skin, I probably didn't make it. Google image search is a very real thing.
many people dismiss the t (including me) for the fact if your born a man your a male your whole life, even if they want to change gender or sex change i still view them as there birth gender.

It has already been mentioned, this really isn't the place to debate the 'T' in LGBT. I think we should just accept people who genuinely believe that they are a different gender inside than whatever there biological sex is. If you don't believe it, whatever, this isn't the place.
Not that anybody has done anything wrong in my eyes thus far, but this could go south pretty quickly if we don't put that one to bed here.

For me, and this may be the last say I make in this thread, is not so much debating the existence of certain sexualities and preferences, but either the intentional or unintentional segregation of groups these discussions foster. Sexuality, like race, gender or nationality are all but one part of being human. Neither group should be considered any more complex, important, or celebrated. If we always choose to see people as black or white, homosexual or heterosexual and woman, man or transgender, than we will never see each other as the unique individuals we are. Not because of our sexual preference or gender identity, but in spite of them. Just because someone finds themselves in a majority or a minority of sexual preferences, race or gender identity doesn't make them more or less of a human than the others.
Unfortunately we are all susceptible to the selfish or darker side of humanity that comes in the form of generalizations, sweeping notions, stereotypes, prejudice and ridicule. The very assumption that whether someone is in the majority or minority in a race, gender identity or sexual preference said person falls into socially engineered preconceived notion that is acceptable to label them, is the most crippling obstruction to true acceptance. It's only because of these labels, not because of the behavior or preference itself, that we are unable to see past these in other humans. It's why we've (at least in American) turned every human into a label and put them in a group or category and they have to sit there in that group and take what they are labeled. Do I think it's a possibility humanity can get past this? Sure. But there's been tribalism, countries, borders, classes and royalty since the start of humanity. That's a lot of human history and learned behavior to overcome. But it won't until we are to our not own special snowflake, but see every other person as a special snowflake. We are all unique. Not just you.

I don't think it is necessary to go as far as to say we need to abandon these labels entirely. I was born male and still consider myself male. I am heterosexual. I am British. I am fairly average, really. I don't want or need anybody to see me as a special snowflake everywhere I go. These are all characteristics I possess, they are part of me. They are labels. I'm okay with that. Labels aren't the problem. We don't need to be so politically correct as to say to abandon all of these labels and all just be special snowflakes, as you call it.
Most of us can see past these labels. It is slightly ironic that you say that 'we' can't see past our sweeping notions and stereotypes. No, 'we' can. When I look at my friends, I see a group of heterosexual males, in part. That just happens to be who my friends are. Those 'labels' aren't obscuring my view. I still see them as unique individuals. These 'labels' that you shun so much are just facts.

Abandonment of labels or society's high interest in them shouldn't be out of political correctness. Labels aren't a product of adhearing to political or social correctness they are a product of our own ego. And not to be combatitive, but "we" is a general term and I spoke for no other other country than the one I am a citizen of. I can't speak for every individual but in general if you care to observe anything social or political in American you can see indeed many of its citizens and politicians can't get passed prejudging people with these labels.

Labels are not the products of ego. Where this idea is coming from I have no idea. Abandonment of labels is ridiculous and definitely a political correctness issue. It is not necessary.
Y'know, I've kinda missed these mature discussions.
Hopefully this is a sign that the slump's coming to an end
From my experience, the forum staff tends to discourage these sorts of mature debates, anything beyond 'I respectfully disagree with you' and going off-topic. That isn't bad or a jab at the staffing by any means (though it may be interpreted as such, sadly). It keeps more order but I think it kind of reduces the likelihood that these sorts of threads will thrive, as it means they can easily creep over the border to flame material and it can be harder to stay on topic. Mind, I'm not sure if those rules are as strict here, but they seem to apply quite strictly over in, say, Discussion.
All I'm saying is that this forum isn't the place to go to have mature debates on religion, politics, morality, sexuality, identity and so forth. That is the result of a set of rules in place. Those rules are not necessarily bad.
Yes, I'm trying really hard to express this without getting called up for something. Anyway, I'm done stating the obvious.

Honestly the occasional mature discussion is what I look forward to on this site, even if I don't participate. A respectful, mature thread or debate to shake up the normal discussion doesn't seem like it will cause problems. I feel like everyone is entitled to their opinion as long as that opinion is not causing them to physically or mentally hurt others, and nobody is going around calling each other stupid or disgusting or degenerate or whatnot.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the reason PPNS was shut down was because there was just too much and there was a lot of abuse. What can happen in one thread that can't be kept within bounds? At worst the thread gets locked and a couple people get bans, it can't exactly get out of hand. And it educates people. Even if someone can't support the LGBT community due to personal beliefs or whatnot, accepting them and understanding they're normal people in society is something this thread could do, on a small scale. xD
Well, also PPNS just didn't fit into what these Forums were about.
Also, this thread shouldn't be shut down unless it turns flame war or argument, and the only I see that happening is if someone were to turn this thread into something it wasn't designed as. I have differing views than some that have been presented here, but I'm not going to share them. This is not a conversation about the LGBT community, it is about accepting the LGBT community, and as long as people do not turn this into a conversation, I don't believe it will be locked or deleted,
100% bi. Though it feels like I'm lying to myself because right now I'm really into a guy and thats pretty straight but I like girls too, like a lot. So, it just feels weird sometimes. If that makes sense.

Male in the streets, female in the sheets
(It means their gender changes over time)
Tell me about it.
